Everything was fine except for the audio. It was not adequate to pick up sounds and amplify them when played

very good tablet... the screen is nice and bright with vivid colors. the built-in speakers are a little weak, only slightly louder than my Galaxy S8 phone's speakers. 4:3 screen takes a little getting used to. will probably try to find a 16:9 screen tablet next time.

My older samsung tablet went bad so I had to upgrade to a newer one. This is just like my old one just a little smaller and thinner witch isn't bad. I did think about getting the bigger tablet but for another 200.00 I will pass on it. Screen has a great picture I did watch movies on it when I was on a road trip and the sun glare wasn't to bad with the screen. Speakers could be a little better and louder.

Purchased the Galaxy S2 9.7 to replace a 4 year old Motorola 10 inch tablet. After using the Samsung for a couple of days I am disappointed in the performance of the product. I think the price of this tablet should be closer to $75.00 and not $399.00. The apps are slow to open and the touch screen has a bit of lag to it. The speakers are poorly placed and the sound quality is extremely bad...very tinny. I will be returning this tablet to Best Buy this weekend.

I loved my iPad air 2 while in school but now that I don't need the keyboard case, this is the PERFECT size. I can type on this without changing my grip and it's much nicer to browse the web and watch videos on this rather than my galaxy S6. Love the customizability you get with Android as well. Apple works well with school work, but for everything else ( especially as a media consumption device) Android is king and at 8.0 this is much more manageable one handed. Decent battery life, exceptional screen - only negative is that the speakers at max are about 60-70% as loud as the iPad air 2. That is an easy price to pay though for all the bonuses.

Good but not great. This tablet is middle of the road for Samsung. It will do some things well and other functions are lacking. Speaker and sound is not all that great. For music and movies expect to have the volume turned up. Basic web viewing and other simple apps will work fine.

This is a great 8 in tablet for the money. Provides a good user experience if you are looking for an 8 in tab with great pic quality. It's good for music, videos, reading and surfing the internet. Don't expect it to be a workhorse. It's just a fun little tab for specific users. It does lack in sound quality so make sure you have some good headphones. Battery life is good as long as brightness isn't all the way up. Mine does have issues staying connecting to the wifi. It seems to drop the wifi and pick it back up only a few seconds later. It's frustrating and hope it's just mine. I know it'sn't my wifi bc none of my other 10-12 devices have issues. Samsung usually produces good quality electronics and I'm definitely a fan. I also like Apple devices but I'm definitely not a fan boy. I'm just a fan of good quality electronics from companies that put pride into their work. I would recommend only if you need a fun little device to do a little Netflix and other things that do not require a larger screen or more horsepower.

I bought this tablet yesterday - 2016 model (SM-T713 - less expensive, better processor and should provide improved battery life over 2015 model). I am thrilled enough with this tablet to take time to write a review. The screen clarity is stunning - terrific resolution, color and brightness, and color and brightness can be adjusted to personal taste. It is just the right size for portability and reading, e-mail, web surfing, texting (yes, you can send/receive texts from it with an app such as "mysms" available via the Google Play store). This tablet is thin, fast, light and nicely designed. I love the fingerprint reader! I was surprised by how well it works (as well as on an iPad Mini 3). The 4:3 aspect ratio of this tablet is really preferable when doing everything but watching movies, and movies still look beautiful on it. You just get the letterbox effect with widescreen movies (black lines above and below), which is a compromise for movie watching but not a deal breaker. It runs the latest Android operating system (provides better battery life and is current for now) and supports dual band wireless ac (fastest WiFi). It works great on my fast 5GHz WiFi network unlike my other two tablets. I feel that this tablet is perfect in every way for my needs except the speaker volume is too low and somewhat tinny sounding for my taste. The workaround is to connect a bluetooth speaker or use headphones when volume and sound quality are important. Other than the sound being lower than I would like, I have nothing negative to say about it. It doesn't claim to support Miracast, a connectivity method I prefer since that creates its own WiFi network between two devices and doesn't require an Internet connection. That is especially convenient when in a hotel and watching a movie on the TV that has been downloaded to the tablet. I will test that, but various other options are available that allow the tablet to connect to a TV, projector or other device. That is not a deal breaker either (and it might work). Choosing a tablet is really very subjective, but this is as close to perfect as they come for my intended purposes. It should be a reliable, quality product that provides a lot of use and enjoyment.
