Great tablet, easy to set up however , I am going to ret/ exchange it due to it keeps freezing up . It was open box, so maybe it was defective and that’s why it was returned originally. Sadly yet another trip to the store

I bought the Samsung tablet instead of the iPad because it was recommended by my employer for a particular application. I have had issues with printing on this tablet which is disconcerting. Overall I think it is ok, but next time will buy an ipad.

it worked well for awhile but after a year or so it stopped charging and over heated. i find that these kind of things happen a lot with samsung products. that's why i don't buy them anymore.

    Another Great Samsung Tablet

I have a Samsung Tab S, and my partner's Note 10.1 was starting to run very slow, so I gave the Tab S to him. I tried updating the Note 10.1 to LineageOS, and it worked okay, but some apps didn't run as smoothly as I would like, so I started shopping around for another tablet for myself. I looked the offerings from Samsung's competition as well as the new S3 and S4 series, but I really didn't want to spend a great deal since I have a Surface and a Dell Windows 10 laptop - I really have too many devices, to be honest. This gold version of the Tab S2 was on clearance at a very good price so I went for it. The hardware specs are very similar to my well-loved Tab S, similar processor, 3 gigs of RAM, 32 gig storage, and the lovely OLED screen, though slightly smaller and a slightly lower resolution than the Tab S. The screen differences aren't really that noticiable, though, and overall, the device is even slimmer and more portable than its predecessor. The device is portrait-oriented, unlike the Tab S, and it's taking some getting used to - I usually hold the device in the landscape orientation, and I keep tapping what amounts to the side of the Tab S2 looking for the home button - in this orientation, the controls are on the right of my hand. Not a deal breaker, I'll get used to it. The only other thing I'll point out is the sound. Like the Tab S, the speakers are adequate for personal listening, nothing spectacular, though it's a little weird for me to have both speakers on one side (again, since I use the tablet in landscape orientation); thus the sound is not really stereo unless I flip the device back into the portrait orientation. Again, not a huge deal, since I have a small Sony portable speaker to which I can connect via bluetooth for better sound if I want it. Overall, this is a really nice little tablet. It's very responsive and zippy when loading/running applications or simply browsing the internet. I'm guessing the gold version was priced lower than its stablemates because it wasn't selling as well, but I'm glad I got it - it's a bit "blingy".

    Keyboard problems

The graphics are great but keyboard problems are annoying. This is my second Galaxy S2. The first had to be replaced about two weeks after purchase due to keyboard problems that could not be rectified. The second S2 is better but there are still problems. It will not automatically capitalize the first letter of every sentence. However, when I use an exclamation mark or a question mark the last word is always Capitalized!

Looked them all over and picked this one. Got home, charged it and after a few minutes of working it went dead. Didn't need charged so took it back to best buy and they couldn't get it to work either.

AMAZING Tablet. Goodbye iPad Air, Hello Sammy!

I have had an iPad Air for a couple of years now. I rarely use it. I have always used Android phones and have never owned anything by Apple aside from iPods back in the year 2007. I just could never get used to the navigation and layout of the iPad tablet. Every few months, I would charge it up and give it another shot to be my bedside sidekick, but it always ended up in a corner collecting dust. On Black Friday, I decided to indulge in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. I have used this tablet EVERY DAY since it has come. I absolutely love it. It is extremely light weight, very fast. The battery lasts for several days, unless I have a day off and just play with it all day. The OLED screen is exceptional. In comparison to the iPad Air, it is significantly lighter, it is faster at booting up, and loading various apps. It is obvious that the screen is better on the Tab S2 because of the superior screen technology. The battery is not as great; but when we're talking about days of battery life with both products, it does not really matter. I have Verizon as my phone provider, and I downloaded the Message+ app for texting, which syncs amazingly; therefore I can text directly from the tablet. Verizon recently added a new feature that allows me to make phone calls directly from the Message+ app, which is great when I have my Bluetooth headphones on and would like to call someone. I have absolutely NO complaints about this tablet. I LOVE the 3:2 aspect ratio (which is the same aspect ratio as the iPad). This aspect ratio is not the best for those that will use this primarily for watching movies or streaming services; however it is the best aspect ratio for everything else from browsing the web to viewing pictures and playing games. I would recommend this tablet to anyone and everyone.
