Has much as I like Samsung, I bought this tablet on Dec 21, 2016 and took it back 1 week later because it kept restarting all the time on it's own. No matter what I was doing, using an app, watching a movie, surfing the web, the tablet would restart at any time for any reason. I replaced it with the same tablet, and after two months, I am having the same issue again. Right now I am waiting to take the tablet back to Best Buy so they can have a go at it. I got the Geek Squad protection plan with this, and if they can not fix the tablet, I will replace it again, but with a different kind of tablet.

Overall not satisfied with the samsung galaxy since i mainly wanted to use it for windows office products. The windows products are not intuitive on this tablet and proved to be a pain to deal with.

This tablet takes forever to charge 100% and it runs down in a few hours. I will not buy another Samsung brand of anything.

So I have had this unit for over 6 months and I could say that everything is great except the most important thing.... the Internet connection drops while your watching videos or movies on apps. I regret this purchase and I miss my iPad....this unit has been serviced twice by Samsung and the support is 5star but it hasn't gotten my unit fixed

Samsung charging ports are weak and need replacing too soon. Only Samsung can replace these ports.

I have a 3rd gen iPad I purchased years ago to run GPS mapping software for road trips and off road desert trips. I got a lot of great use from that tablet but almost two years ago I purchased my first smart phone, Galaxy S5. I now like Android much better than iOS and the old iPad doesn't keep up anymore so it was time for an upgrade. I read countless reviews and I'm glad I took my time because while I did my research Samsung refreshed the Tab S2 giving this SM-T813 model a faster chip set. This tablet is narrower, slightly shorter, thinner and much lighter than my old iPad plus it has better performance and a much better looking screen. To get GPS functionality in the iPad Air2 I would have spent $179 more and had 128GB less storage! Gotta love microSD expandable storage. I use Back Country Navigator plus downloadable OpenAndroMaps on this tablet while mounted on the dash of my truck, great combination! The Logitech - Type-S Keyboard Case is a great match with this tablet.

I have both Tab S and Tab S2, can't tell the different in speed, if you have the Tab S1 it not worth the upgrade.

After following various tablet reviews/prices/specs for about a year, I finally decided on the 64GB Tab S2 (T813) for my first tablet purchase. I currently have an older model Samsung phone and an older model kindle, and was hoping to purchase a tablet for the larger screen size so that I can use apps, the web, and read ebooks on one device. PROS I was happy to learn that my tablet could import my contacts and settings from my samsung phone, as well as books from my kindle - a major plus that sped up the setup process for someone new to tablets. The tablet also has the ability to use a SD card. I don't use many apps and after installing 10 new apps (plus using the pre-installed apps) I've used ~14 GB of internal storage and ~21 GB of storage on the SD card. I would recommend the 64GB version of this tablet for that reason. Overall response time is fast. Pages and apps load quickly. Downloads are also speedy. Battery life is average - certainly better than my phone, not as good as the old kindle. The screen is visible even when outdoors in bright sunlight. I had to download a manual for a piece of machinery that had broken down in a field - the diagrams were clearly visible without having to shade the tablet, this is a huge plus if you work outside. With the use of a USB adapter, I was able to transfer PDFs that I downloaded to a USB flash drive. The transfer went quickly. ************ CONS I've had a hard time accessing the settings for the storage locations (SD card vs internal storage). If there's a way to manually change these settings/set a default for all apps at once, I have yet to find it; although it appears that downloads are being saved to the SD card. The fingerprint reader only works about 50% of the time. Do not expect the tablet to charge as fast as your phone does. ********* Overall, this is an excellent tablet and I highly recommend it - I would certainly purchase it again. It can replace my kindle, make up for my phone's limitations, and has completely lived up to its expectations.

Not as responsive as I thought it would be. Otherwise great for beginners.

The tablet was ok but after 4 months it would not charge and that really was annoying. After trying everything to get it to charge I had to resort to sending it back to Samsung to get it repaired. I should have stayed with Apple.

The Samsung Tab 9.7 is nothing more than a big screen cell phone without the phone. I thought is was a hybrid of a cell phone and a laptop with some features from a cell phone and some features from a laptop. It's all cell phone features. Even the web browsing is mobile based. If you go to a site that does not or has limited web capabilities because of the mobile web browsing limitations, then you are out of luck. You won't be able to use that site's full desktop/laptop capabilities.
