I was deciding between the iPad air 2 and the samsung tab s2. I am so glad I went with the s2. It is super fast and runs so smooth. This is a great tablet.

Great product! Slim and fast. Good battery life...

I purchased it from Expansys who sells items overseas. It's been out overseas for a few weeks. They had two in their US warehouse and I was fortunate enough to get one of them. It's a really great device. In comparison the older Tab S I think it's a vast improvement. The speed and battery life alone make it a better purchase as these were both problems with the original. I think anzicco's review/opinion is based on specs that don't make the experience better in any way at least from my perspective. I will agree with that I like the dimpled back (band-aid pattern) better but I think this one is just a good in it's own way. I read and watch videos and haven't found anything to complain about on either. I think the complaints about letter boxing are a little ridiculous. Once you start watching a video you get lost in the beauty of the screen and forget all about the letter box. I'm not surprised they went 4:3 as google made it clear last year that this was the way android was going. It's very easy to see that OEMs would follow suit. The only thing I think they should have done was include the faster processor that the note 5 and S6 have. it hasn't made a difference in performance as the resolution on this tab is not QHD and doesn't require that extra power for performance. It simply would have been nice to have it though but if that's the sacrifice they had to make for battery life to be as good as it's been, it's one worth making as it hasn't affected performance in any scenario I've put it through. Bonus: so glad they kept the expandable storage. I've have owned so many tablets (from IPad to the Motorola XOOM, galaxy tabs, notes, the Nexus 9, HP Touchpad, and MS Surface RT and Pro and many more). In comparison this is also a very good combination of performance and capability in a light weight package that's easy to hold for long periods. I'm glad I bought it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an android tablet that's lightweight, well made (looking at you Nexus 9) and just plain works.
