Very well built and came with latest Android already loaded. Beautiful display and great audio for watching movies and playing games. Included pen works great for sketching. Lasts for hours on a charge even when playing movies, and charges fairly quickly. By adding a 128G card I am able to have alot of free space even after loading all my music and movies. With the hi resolution camer I will probably enjoy having that extra storage. And it is a bargain since the new model came out.

Got me an iPad Pro a few months ago because I got sick of having to buy a new dang Android tablet every two years just to have the most recent Android version. If it weren't for the guys on XDA doing stuff for free that MULTIBILLION $$ can't do I'd have given up on Android a while back. So with the iPad I though I had the best "Google" tablet with Chrome and all the essential Google data farming programs I use. I was wrong. I could't not having a back button and having to go to the top left to go back. No WebM support. All the browsers felt like some kind of version of safari, even Firefox. On Android the browsers are a dumbed down version of the desktop versions. On Apple they're dumbed even further down. So, back to this tablet. Big screen, fast processors, nice speakers, almost iPad like standby (which stinks big time since Oreo update on my s2. You have to kill wifi on standby or it drains quickly), and a nice pen. Scrolling is responsive as most my other Android tablets have been - until a year or so afterwards. Rooting is easy as can be with an unlocked bootloader and AshyX (whom I've donated for every tablet he's tweaked TWRP for that I own). Samsung has included quite a few extras that almost make rooting not worth it, but with Magisk you can hide root and still enjoy some of Sammy's extras. The routine are very good but not Tasker good. They can set up simple "macros" based on time, place, wifi, etc. Tasker just takes it a few steps further but requires root. As usual AMOLED screen is gorgeous. There are some LCD screens that look nice, but none look as good as an AMOLED. I really should have gotten this on release date not have wasted the money on the iPad Pro and Pencil. I'm an android guy and I just can't give up some of my freedom - at the cost of my privacy (and I hate that trade-off). I'm pretty sure in two years I'm gonna be whining about how slow and choppy this is, and that I'm not getting updates any more because that's how Samsung operates. Great hardware poor as heck support.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is like no other tablet I've had ever used. It's by far the fastest and smoothest device. Ive used the Note series phone and like how that had a stylist. Tab S4 is like a bigger version on the Note. The stylus is exceptional responsive and easy to use. Setting up the tablet was so easy. If you already have a Google account or Samsung account, all you have to do is log in. You can select to transfer your info from other Samsung device or set up a new one. I decided to make it a fresh start and was ready to use in 5 minutes. First time using it, I wanted to test the battery life. I noticed the battery life has greatly improved over other generation tablet. I was able to watch 3 Harry Potter movie and still have 25% of the battery left. Most other tablet couldn't even last through 2 movies. I am very happy with the battery life. Like other Samsung device,they are moving away from the physical home button which I like. But I understand the full screen concept is the new thing. The learning curve should not be hard if you are used to the S series or Note series phone. The AMOLED screen is beyond beautiful. The color contrast and the high pixel makes it one of the most beautiful display on any devices. I was ecstatic when I got the chance to used this device at Best Buy. Not that I have it in my own home. I can see it being my daily tablet for a long time. I used it more without the keyboard since I'm used to the virtual keyboard. One of the thing I noticed when I was setting I'm the tablet is that it doesn't recognized the keyboard until you are completely setup. Once you are done setting it up, unplug from the keyboard and plug it back in. I also have Galaxy Book which runs on Window 10. Between the two tablet, I prefer the tablet s4 since it an Android base. It has more apps and a lot easier to install and run program. It's a tablet like no other tablet!!!

This is a great tablet. I've owned several tablets over the years of varying Brands and I always stick with Samsung. The S4 is very powerful, the screen and Graphics are amazing, and the processor handles all of my apps. I am not a gamer so I cannot speak on game performance, but I am a musician and this handles my music software including the connecting of USB MIDI keyboard controller with no problem at all. I'm also very impressed with the sound and speaker quality of this tablet. The s-pen it's also a great accessory to have. As to the feel of the tablet, I will admit that it is a bit heavy but considering the processor and battery size and screen size it's a fair trade-off. I can comfortably hold it while reading for watching movies. And although it is a bit pricey I feel that it's comparable to other tablets of similar performance on the market. I did not buy the keyboard made for the tablet as I felt it was just way over priced especially considering it's limited functions. I did, however purchase an inexpensive Bluetooth keyboard that links perfectly with it and works fine. So if you're looking for a tablet that will give you great performance, Graphics, and storage, I recommend spending the few extra bucks and getting this tablet.

I am quite pleased with the new tablet. It is fast, plenty of capacity (especially with a large sd card), and great screen. The S pen is extremely useful. While it won't replace my laptop with the Office suite, it is fine for viewing movies, sending/receiving emails and browsing through various websites. While it is quite pricey, I believe I will get many years of use, particularly when traveling.

I'M A PHOTOGRAPHY AND WANTED SOMETHING PORTABLE THAT I CAN UPLOAD AND EDIT PICTURES EASILY WHILE TRAVELING OR IN THE FIELD, I TRIED THE MICROSOFT GO WHICH WAS EXTREMELY SLOW AND KEEP GETTING BOGGED DOWN SO I RETURNED IT AND GOT THE SAMSUNG TAB S 4. TO MY SURPRISE IT OUT PREFORMED THE SURFACE GO. ITS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. ITS QUICK AND SNAPPY NO MATTER WHAT I THROW AT IT. AND THE S PEN WORKS EXCELLENTLY FOR MY EDITING PURPOSES. DEX MODE IS ALSO USEFUL IF YOU LIKE THE WINDOWS EXPERIENCE ON YOUR TABLET.. THE NEGATIVES ARE 1) THE PRICE POINT. I got the Galaxy Tab S4 to replace my Galaxy Tab S2. The first thing I noticed is that the speakers on the Tab S4 were alot better than my Tab S2. The Tab S4 has quad speakers vs the Tab S2 duel speakers that are on the bottom. However, the speakers don't sound as good as my friend's iPad Pro 10.5, which also has quad speakers. The 2nd thing I noticed was that the retina/facial scanner worked alot better than I expected. It is able to detect my face and unlock pretty quickly. The Tab S4 is running Android 8.1 Oreo, and is pretty snappy. The only thing I wish that it had was more RAM. The Tab S4 is only running 4GB of RAM, and being Samsung's flapship tablet, it really could use more RAM, especially if you want to run Samsung Dex, which turns the Android table into a desktop-like experience. I don't use Dex that often, but just using the tablet in normal Android mode, running a few apps, the tablet has a little less than 1GB of RAM free. Overall, this is the best Android tablet you can get. I was able to get this tablet on sale. I don't think it competes as well as the iPad at it's full retail price.

Purchased the tab s4 a few day ago and I am still amazed at the samoled screen! The processor is more than powerful enough for any app/game in the google play store. Dont buy the ipad hype ove better apps and better pen support - google apps work great as well as the s-pen. I simply love samsung products. Yes, ipad gets a better geekbench score but so what? They can open netflix .5 seconds faster but they have to put up with all of apples "way of life" attitude and price gouging. The pen comes with it so add 130 dollars to the comparable ipad. Dex mode is pretty cool as well and is only going to improve. The sound is great, games look great and work fast. id buy again and was well worth the money.

This tablet has just about everything necessary. Quad speakers, stylus, USB C, microSD card, gorgeous screen, snappy procrssor, and a very reasonable battery life. At this price range, it is hard to beat. It would be a no brainer if it includes a keyboard.

Super fast. Lots of features - which I'm still learning. Beautiful color/graphics. Good battery life. Stylus is fun to use. Takes great pictures. Easy to sync with other Samsung products. A little pricey, but worth it. Would recommend.

Tablet very functional, great battery life, great screen, decent speed and Power. Would give up one of the speakers in order to store S Pen the way the Note smart phone does. And I'm not a fan of Bixby spoken-word assistant. If you could add Alexa and storage for the S Pen it would easily be five stars. However, it is still the best Android Tablet on the market.

Every few months some blog or magazine proclaims the death of the Android Tablet, and Samsung seems determined to prove them wrong. Whether with their excellent line of affordable A and E series tablets or the premium S series. The S4 is the latest of that premium series with an amazing Super AMOLED screen this tablet is great for movies or reading comics. The Snapdragon 835 and 4gb RAM gives it the power to play the latest graphicly intense games, and the S pen and DeX mode give it some real productivity capability. The only thing missing is tye keyboard which is a separate purchase. (Sadly missed the chance to get it discounted with purchase but I hope to get it someday.)

I needed a replacement tablet for my Galaxy Tab S which was stolen last month. This is definitely the one. It has an amazing screen, is very quick, has more than ample storage and has yet to disappoint. The only thing I might not like about it is that it is not as small as my older Galaxy Tab S (10.1" for the Galaxy Tab S4 as opposed to 8.4" for the Tab S). Other than that, this tablet has much more than satisfied all my needs. Can't recommend this one highly enough. Oh...one other downside is the cost...but hey, I figure this is my tablet for the next several years. I guess the cost is justified when I think of it this way.

Beautiful screen operates quickly easy to navigate updated to pie as well all in all very good if not wonderful tablet, main reason for purchase was the s pen love that too

I put off buying a tablet for quite a while. This one was certainly worth the wait. It's big with a beautiful display. Samsung really outdid themselves with the quality of the screen on this tablet. The colors are true and beautifully saturated. The tablet is fast and surfs the net like a pro. I can check my emails and shop online. I'm only starting to explore its game-playing capability but so far I'm totally impressed. I put a 128 GB micro SD card in it to give it even more storage space. If you don't mind the price tag, this tablet is a Best Buy, in my estimation. (yes, pun intended).

I purchased the Samsung tablet to fully move over to android from Apple. I already have the S9 which works well. The tablet does everything and more the S9 can do and the screen is great. Its fast and as reliable as any other android device, i am running some emulation software no problem and it performs well. If I was to ask for one change it would be a finger print scanner on the front. However there is one thing that I have found annoying... The tablet seems to lose wifi connectivity a lot. This is particularly troublesome at home where i have ATT internet. All other products I have connect fine and there are other Ipads etc all work correctly to this wifi. I have tried the various troubleshooting guides but to no avail. I bought this as an Open Box item as I was going for a lower model. Now a little concerned that I should've gone for an original.

This replaced my ipad pro 12. Wasn't sure if I was going to like the smaller size, but I do. For me, the stylus is much better than the apple pencil. I appreciate the variety and economy of apps in the Google Play store. Simple things like copying a video from a USB stick (using some generic adapter) is easy to do with an Android tablet. The performance is great and for as much as I really liked the ipad, there's nothing I miss now that I've switched.

After 2 years its still my go to device. Great for reading and browsing. No technical issues. Good size and easy to travel with. Intuitive and easy to use. Great battery life. I use it for note taking and reading PDFs or web articles. Pen and touch are good and make using this tablet preferable to my laptop (which is for more intensive use purposes). For general, on the go and fun stuff (internet, reading, drawing, etc.) Its a necessity for me. Highly recommended

Exceeded my expectations. Esy to set up, picture is great, love the screen size, light weight, and love that it comes with a pen.

The tablet is fast and very responsive. The image quality is superb. Battery life is good for a tablet of this size. The reason for 4 not 5 stars is price, keyboard sold separately, plus 4g of ram is kinda low for a high end tablet
