Wonderful design (slim bezels really help maximize the screen space) and powerful tablet that will run great for years. Stylus writes incredibly smoothly in native S-Note app (better than the Surface 3 I transitioned from), but more limited use in OneNote.

Upgraded from the very similar Tab S3. The Tab S4 is snappy, and responsive. I was able to purchase at a great price from Best Buy on clearance. The screen and pen are fantastic for my needs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

This tablet was to replace an aging Samsung Tab2 and so far it is blowing my old tablet away in all aspects. The S4 is faster, larger screen, quicker charging, longer lasting battery. Well worth the price.

The Tab S4 is the first android tablet that has features and power to be used for serous work, along with awesome clarity on the screen even for HD streaming. The sound is excellent for speakers included, but you will want some type of headphones. It finally frees me from taking my laptop everywhere I go. I would have rated it 5 stars except for he lack of good covers. The buyer should be aware there will be a learning curve due to new and more advanced features. PRO: processing power Low cost expandable memory Runs Microsoft and Google apps with no noticable difference from my laptop. Long battery life and power saving options. Excellent graphics Editing of photos can be done without transferring them to a more powerful machine. DX mode is excellent for productivity. Comes with a pen in the box. Look good in tablet or DX modes. I have not experienced the problems others have reported. Con: No cover or pen holder comes with the machine. Keyboard powered by the tablet (Samsung OEM) OEM cover and keyboard cover are cheaply made. Cost

This was good when it came out. Now you have a better option(S6). SD 835 is competent and this tablet is adequate for note taking and media consumptions. I mainly use this for online lecture using One Note app for a math course. The included spen works fine with all the writing apps and the pen input lag is negligible. Also the battery lasts about a week after a single full charge( I use it for note taking only). But the down side of a big battery is this is tad too heavy to use for a media consumption while you hold it with two hands. And this is the last tab s line that has a headphone jack. Anyway, if you can get this cheaply, it is very good for a school work. I do not game so I cannot say anything about that. Also the oled screen is very nice to look at.

This is, in my opinion, the best tablet you can get right now. While I've never owned an iPad, I have several friends who do and I've helped them in navigating and "fixing" issues they have with their iPads. So, I am very familiar with them. That being said, I have a hard time imagining why someone would prefer iPad over a Tab s4. This tab is as fast as they come and unlike iPad, you're able to add memory to it (microSD). I got a great deal with the keyboard cover, and with it, this tab is basically a laptop. The SamsungDex platform is just like having a PC. The graphics are amazing! This really is the standard for tablets today. Yes, the price is higher, but as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." I got a killer deal when it was one of the Deals of the Day. If you are in need of a top-of-the-line tablet, you can't do better than this!

The display is awesome on this device. Performance is top notch. The S Pen functions supremely. The only drawback is the all glass build. While beautiful it requires a case. Otherwise I recommend this tablet for productivity and fun.

I have always been an android guy but I tried a couple of iPads and while they are really good, after a while I felt a little homesick for Samsung. I purchase this and it is my go to tablet for the most part. Keep in mind I do have the iPad pro models 2019 but I find android is my is preferred os. The last tab model I purchased was tab s2 and at the time and still now a fairly decent tablet but I wanted to get the latest and greatest android tablet so henceforth, the s4 is mine. I purchased the tablet with a student discount and an elite plus perk which brought it down to 430.00 It was a bargain with no regrets whatsoever. Very speedy and the best part, the stylus was included. Speaker sound great and the display is gorgeous.

This is an awesome tablet!!! It is has a very fast processor and a beautiful display. The S-pen is a great addition. In my opinion, it's the beat tablet you could buy.

This Tablet is fantastic! It works a little better then the IPad Pro 9.7 256GB I use. They games are more colorful and run smooth without any lag! Super fast!

My positives include the quad speakers, 4GB ram, all black look (if you bought the black tab), S-Pen, camera flash, huge battery! Compared to the S2 or even S3, the Tab S4 was a no brainer... in comparison to its newer sibling (Tab S6), the shortcomings become annoying: the glass rear in addition to being a fingerprint magnet makes it heavier in my opinion. The S-Pen lacks storage right out the box. Otterbox has a defender that offers a secure storage location but the case adds a little bulk and the inbuilt screen protector wouldn't stay flush on the screen. The facial recognition is a little finicky... the lack of a fingerprint reader too gradually became a reason I switched sides. If history is anything to go by, grab it if you're able to snag one up for cheap! Icouldn't justify the price point, being that close to a more specced out model.

I love this tablet! The screen is bright and clear, great battery life, very quick and responsive, the stylus that is included is a great addition.

Finally bought this new Samsung tablet and very happy with performance. Tablet is quick, screen is typical Samsung perfection. Pen works well.

Bought it for my daughter. She loves it. It's pretty fast and have space for all her apps. The pen is a plus as she loves to draw.

I have been using this for about 3 months now and would have to say that it is much better than the previous tablet that I have used (Samsung Tab A 10.1 with s pen). Software is better, the pen (which is included) writes good, quality on video is great and sound amazing with dolby atmos. The only concerns is that battery life is not as long (probably due to a higher screen resolution) and accident clicks on the s pen button opens up the spen menu which cannot be disabled. Recommend to get this tablet on sale.

Purchased this tablet to replace a Galaxy Tab S2 and a 2017/2018 (previous generation) iPad. Battery life (11-12 hours) is about twice that of Tab S2 and slightly better than the iPad. The Tab S4 is substantially faster and more responsive than the Tab S4 and iPad. I have not tried all the features or the pen, but what I have tried has worked perfectly. I purchased a relatively inexpensive case which holds the pen securely.

it's extremely easy to use great that has a great batteries the display's good and it's easy to connect with your other devices.

This tablet has been a joy to use. The only thing that holds it back is the lack of finger print reader. The iris scanner I find very hard to use in anything other than portrait. It is fast when it works, but lining up you eyes is a pain almost everytime. The stylus wasn't a selling point for me, but helps when I'm bored and want to doddle. I had a Tab S2 before this and it's much faster. I wish tablet manufactures would stop putting one and two year old CPU's in their tablets. I would pay the little extra to get current flagship performance. This tablet comes with a Snapdragon 835 from 2017. That's just dates the tablet from inception!! Even with that gripe, it is still responsive and plays every game and movie I want flawlessly. It's still a good buy.

Replaced my old Samsung tablet which was very slow to open and load content. This is fast, opens in less than 30 seconds and loads content quickly with no buffering when watching TV shows, movies. The visuals are excellent for movies, and the sound for a tablet good as well. I don't use it for work, so can't address some of the other applications. Bought it on sale and am very satisfied with the improvements. Battery life is good as well- no worries on long flights if I don't have a charging port available.

The display is excellent and the size is perfect for most uses. Two idiosyncrasies are annoying: First, the screen sometimes does not respond to finger taps. Can't find a pattern, but it's annoying. Response with the included pen is, however, nearly perfect once you get the hang of it. Second, if you are using the screen in the landscape position and put it down flat (e. g., on a table) the screen goes dark (but no data is lost). It does not do this in the portrait mode. No idea why. Still, I'd buy it again for its speed and display. If you have a recent Android phone, this will feel comfortably familiar.
