This is a good tablet, a nice step up for the galaxy line. This tab still has some quirks though. Whats in the box: The tab, S-pen, charger and charging cable. Design: While this tablet looks nice, it does have a cheap feel to it. I honestly thought the glass on the back was a plastic protective cover, after I spent some time trying to peel it off, I realized that it was, in fact, the back glass. It just doesn't have a super solid feel to it. Features: Sound, the sound is great. multiple speakers allow for good sound no matter how you're holding it. S-pen: I like the S-pen. No need to charge the pen, at all. The pen does though, feel a bit cheap and rattles a bit. I don't have much use for the pen. Some of the features are nice, such as hovering over the right hand part of the tab and having a pen specific menu pop up automatically. facial recognition and iris scanning unlock: needs work. A lot of work. This hardly works. I wear glasses, and you have to be very specific if you're wearing them or not. Even so, it works maybe 1/4 of the time. I find myself getting frustrated and tapping on the screen until it lets me type in my code. This alone is very frustrating Screen: gorgeous. colors and brightness are great, very clear and a nice size. Touch responsive is good. Nothing magical, but good. Samsung "DeX" mode: This is one of the main features of this tablet, that I just don't see the use for, even if it worked well. This just seems like a feature they wanted to have, so they patched it together to work. When you are in this mode, it is supposed to act like a desktop, which I just don't get. I'm not going to lug around a bluetooth mouse to use with this. You don't HAVE to use a mouse, but without one whats the point of making all the icons tiny and hard to touch? Also, this thing gets laggy when in this mode. It takes multiple touches to close windows, and even some of the basic android apps pre-installed on the device aren't designed for DeX mode. I've used this mode just a couple times, and couldn't figure out why it even existed. This is one of the main touted features, and it just doesn't deliver. Apps tend to crash a lot. Now, some of this will be able to be fixed with software updates, but as of now, it is just "half baked" Overall: It is nice, but not worth the price. I would recommend another tablet.

Great screen display for movie/show watching - but

If all you want to do is watch movies and tv shows, and want the best display you can buy on a tablet, and don’t mind paying the price premium on this tablet, it is great. But otherwise, this tablet should have been priced lower. Other tablets, looking at you new Microsoft Surface line, offer more for around the same amount of money, if you need it for more than just media consumption. At very least what Samsung should have done with the Galaxy Tab S4 is include the keyboard case cover. At the asking price, and the official keyboard cover very high cost, you would be better suited with a Microsoft Surface, which is a fully functional Windows 10 device. The Galaxy Tab S4, without the official keyboard cover case (which also holds the included s-pen), is really just another android tablet, just with a better aspect ratio for media viewing, and also way better aspect ratio for widescreen content too. Even Samsung including the S-Pen with this tablet is great, but there is no where to put it without buying one of their two official cases, both of which are very expensive. There are less expensive cases from other manufacturers that have a pen holder thankfully. The beautiful display on this tablet, and great 4 speaker sound for a tablet come at a price. While watching media, I found that the battery life did drain alot faster than the iPad I had. It likely had a lot to do with the very high resolution display. That is alot of pixels to push, and 4 speakers to drive, all taking it’s toll on that battery life. I wish Samsung had included a larger capacity battery like the one in the current generation iPad Pros. Luckily the charger in this things charges pretty quickly. Also given Samsungs asking price here, they should have included more RAM. It would have helped with having more applications going at once. All in all, this a great media consumption device, but it is not exactly a laptop replacement.

THE SANSUNG S4 TAB IS A GREAT TABLET WITH A FEW SMALL DRAWBACKS,PRICE BEING ONE OF THEM. I HAVE THE 64GB VERSION WHICH COST A WHOPPING $649 FOR A TABLET FORTUNATELY I FOUND AN OPEN BOX IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR A GREAT PRICE I COULD LIVE WITH. I'M A PHOTOGRAPHY AND WANTED SOMETHING PORTABLE THAT I CAN UPLOAD AND EDIT PICTURES EASILY WHILE TRAVELING OR IN THE FIELD, I TRIED THE MICROSOFT GO WHICH WAS EXTREMELY SLOW AND KEEP GETTING BOGGED DOWN SO I RETURNED IT AND GOT THE SAMSUNG TAB S 4. TO MY SURPRISE IT OUT PREFORMED THE SURFACE GO. ITS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. ITS QUICK AND SNAPPY NO MATTER WHAT I THROW AT IT. AND THE S PEN WORKS EXCELLENTLY FOR MY EDITING PURPOSES. DEX MODE IS ALSO USEFUL IF YOU LIKE THE WINDOWS EXPERIENCE ON YOUR TABLET.. THE NEGATIVES ARE 1) THE PRICE POINT. THE SAMSUNG S 4 TAB IS REAL EXPENSIVE NO MATTER WHICH ONE YOU GET. $750 FOR THE 256GB TABLET. ARE THEY KIDDING .WHEN YOU CAN BUY A 256GB MICRO SD CARD FOR $50. ALSO IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 6 GB OF RAM LIKE THEIR NEWEST ENTRY THE S5E TAB 2) THE BIOMETRIC,AND FACE ID IS NOT RELIABLE . OFTEN I END UP JUST TYPING IN MY PASS CODE 3) THE KEYBOARD CASE IS EXPENSIVE AND IS NOT FEATURE RICH.WHEN USING IN DEX MODE YOU STILL NEED A MOUSE,OR S PEN TO MOVE AROUND THE SCREEN AND OPEN PROGRAMS 4) THE WEIGHT OF THE TAB S 4 IS CONSIDERABLE HEAVER THE TAB S 2,OR 3. WHICH MAKES ONE HANDED USE SOMEWHAT AWKWARD,UNLIKE THE S2,S3 TABS 5 ) I ALSO FOUND THE SCREEN TO BE SOMEWHAT DARK WHEN WATCHING A VIDEO. OVERALL THE SAMSUNG TAB S4 IS A GOOD TABLET BUT FOR THE PRICE POINT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT TABLET LIKE ITS PREDECESSORS IF YOU THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING THE SAMSUNG S 4 TABLET AND YOU DON'T NEED DEX MODE SAVE YOURSELF A FEW BUCKS A GET THE TAB S3 . YOU WON'T REGRET IT

Hands down one of the nest tablets on the market. Fast and great sound. The OLED screen is amazing during the day but.. but at night you can see a lot of screen banding. Lines or shadows in grey or dark scene and even bright whites. I exchange for a new one thinking I had a defective one but the new had the same problem. Samsung should do more quality control instead of just rushing these out. It may not bother the average person but I notice it and thought I could live with it but for a 700$ tablet you shouldn’t have to worry about that. My Samsung galaxy tab s2 had the same issue but worse and I even told Samsung about it and they had me send it in. They said everything was ok and that’s how the screen is made. it’s like having a big shadow in middle of the screen and makes it very distracting while watching movies.. even the bestbuy return guy said he could see it. Bummer I really liked this tablet but they really need to check the screen uniformity on their OLED panels..battery life and sound are amazing and the widescreen made it perfect for movies. I just returned it and got the new iPad Pro! It’s a lot faster but still wish apple would switch to OLED like their phones.. I know they would do a better job at quality control and make sure every screen is superb.. if screen banding don’t bother you then this tablet is for you.

I upgraded from the S2 8". This tablet is pretty decent from what I'm used to. The processors are pretty fast with little to no lag but the chip set installed is the same as the Galaxy S8 and the S8 plus. I got the 64Gb of internal memory version and expandable up to 400 Gb externally. I like the multiple app feature as well as the stereo external speakers. I'm not much for using the S pen, which is included. Its a cool feature but I really don't care for it. USB-C is the connection and supports quick charge. The battery is definitely bigger with 7,300mAh capacity but the tablet itself is bigger. To be honest, I didn't really find that much of a difference from my previous tablet other than what I have just mentioned. Everything looks the pretty much the same. I thought after 2 generations, this tablet would have a lot more features other than performance. To me, the price for this tablet isn't justified.

The Tab S3 is a great tablet, but I thought the changes made to the S4 would be worth the loss of the fingerprint scanner and the S3's screen size and shape. I was wrong, I'm afraid. I lost so much efficiency by trying to use the iris scan and the face scan. It has been painful. Annotating documents is now less desirable too due to the long screen. If you can afford this as a media consumption device, then it's very nice, but for me, it's going back. Back to the S3 with a new appreciation.

It's a tablet so it's basically a massive smart phone. I chose this tablet because I am able to use google chrome but I'm not a fan of its functionality. A lot of the apps are faulty some can't be used on a keyboard mode. The battery is also not great and the charger doesn't work very well the tablet died on me multiple times.

We bought this tablet to replace an ipad Air 2 but were very disappointed. It was very laggy with game play especially Fortnite. The ipad at 2 years old and half the price was superior in game play. The pros are that graphics on the Samsung were amazing so its enjoyable to watching videos and YouTube on. The other nice feature is having Microsoft Word for school work.

As stated above, I had to purchase a cover for the Samsung Galaxy S4 for over $70.00 dollars and the product is no where as nice or usable as the cover that came with the Galaxy S tablet. Also, the new Galaxy S4 product is not as usable friendly as my old Galaxy S tablet and I had to pay over $300.00 more for the product I just purchased from Best Buy.

I purchased Galaxy Tab S4 10.3 to replace my slow again Tab E 9.6. While this S4 is really fast, itseems to have connectivity problems. Also many of my apps freeze, or need to restart. Had it about a month now, some of these issues I thought would work themselves out, but now its getting frustrating

The screen is fantastic, but not better than my S3. It takes twice as long to boot than my S3. The speakers are about the same as my S3. Love the pen and expandable storage, but again, nothing new. DeX is worthless on this first attempt, and chews up resources.
