Samsung has done it again. The New Galaxy Tab S6 is everything an android tablet should be and then some.
Unlike Most tablets, this one comes with the Samsung S Pen which opens up many possiblities when using the tablet for work or play.
Drawing, writing, whatever you do, the SPen adds an extra touch to your experience while the tablet itself is way ahead of all of the other tablets I have tried. Great Responsiveness, Awesome Camera, beautiful screen. IT is an exceptional tablet!

This tablet is amazing. I've had it for nearly a month, and I haven't had a chance to use it to its fullest potential yet. However, I have drawn on it and found the S-pen to be precise, smooth, and has a more comfortable feel to it than the thinner version I had on my old tablet (a 2016 Galaxy Tab with S-pen). The sound quality and video are great, as well. I've also done a little reading on it, and the screen quality and larger screen make the reading experience more enjoyable.

I've been using the Galaxy Note 2014 10.1 for over five years. It still works fine but the batter was becoming unreliable. In my line of work, I keep the tablet on and working for at least 5 to 6 hours a day so it was inevitable that the battery would die. I updated to the Galaxy Tab S6 has its replacement. I really like Samsung's tablets and this one is a good one. I love how it is light weight and I am able to connect the stylus magnetically to the side.
The only down side is the battery. Despite being a new tablet, I find myself needing to charge it every 2 to 3 days. With my 2014 when it was new, I could go 5 days before needing to charge it. Still worth the upgrade but I wish the battery was stronger.

Part of a dying breed of really great Android tablets. Runs everything you throw at it exceptionally well and gorgeous screen!
Nice that it brings an S Pen, but the placement behind the screen is a total bummer.

Samsung galaxy tab S6 is the best android tablet at this time. It is now upgraded to Android 10 and One UI 2.1 which syncs well with S10 phone for calls, messages and data transfer ie music notes etc. Amoled display is great for videos and magazines, sound is reasonable with four speakers for a mobile device. Downside need a cable to attach corded headphones to USB C since their is no headphone jack. For those who are android users a good choice.

Expected a high quality screen from Samsung. The screen didn't disappoint. Qualcomm 8xx CPU has been good since 835. The 855 in this tablet is speedy as well. The real surprise is how good the speakers are. I can actually listen to classical music without missing too much detail. The speakers are by far the best I have heard from any tablet or notebook. (My high end HP Specter can't come close in sound. )

I travel a lot and often prefer to work in cafés. Because of this, I have certain requirements: Microsoft Office suite, excellent battery life, multi-window use, file explorer and a good pen for note taking.
This fulfills all of those requirements well. The pen is included as well. I do recommend the purchase of the Samsung keyboard for serious work.
Highly recommended.

I have had a number of Samsung Android tablets and phones over the years. Although my S10 phone has a faster processor, the Tab S6 is plenty fast and has a beautiful screen and plenty of memory. I love the fingerprint sensor on the front screen as it makes logging in very easy. It even allows me to log into my password manager.
I did not purchase the Samsung cover with built-in keyboard as I prefer using the tablet in portrait mode.

Much improved over the Tab S3

I previously owned the Tab S3 and while it was a decent tablet, the battery was horrible and it was starting to slow down. I decided to upgrade and got the S6 when it was released (probably not the best idea since I paid full price) but it did include a giftcard to help offset the high price.
So far I'm pretty happy with it. Its extremely fast, and the battery life is great and dosn't have the crazy drain the S3.
If I only had 1 beef with it, it would be the Pen. I think its a cool idea how it attaches to the back but they really should have made it magnetic through the whole pen and not just 1 side. Its way to easy to accidentally bump and fall off. I guarantee I'm going to lose it at some point.

I purchase this tablet because I wanted something portable but did not want to carry around a laptop. My family loves the apple iPad but I prefer android. At the tone of my purchase, this tablet was on sale. Read the reviews and took a chance on it. The size was prefect fir me and I have been very pleased on the speed and the ease of use. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

I have only had iPads in the past but I recently switched to Samsung (note 10 plus 5g) for my job, which has been great so far. I was a little nervous about switching from my iPad to the tab s6 but so far I love it! It's light weight and thin enough to take with me and the performance is just as good as my iPad. I don't regret my purchase at all. I actually purchased the 5Se for my mom for mothers day.

Great Tablet Upgrade

I upgraded my 5 year old Samsung tablet to the S6. It took a while to reinstall my apps because the old tablet operating system could not be updated to one that could transfer Apps. I have limited technical skills but the process helped me get rid of unused apps. The S6 is faster and the battery last all day, even with constant use. The apps work like they did on my old tablet so i could use it without retraining.

Fun, Zippy, Tablet!

To begin, my previous experience with an Android product, started off good, but didn’t end well. That was several years ago. The Android operating system has improved since then, through multiple versions, so I was willing to give it another try. That said, I was really rather excited to get this Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab.
Now, when comparing this tablet to the “well-known brand of electronic devices” I use every day, there are noticeable differences. My current tablet uses a ‘Pencil’ stylus with which to make notes, sketch, draw, sign digital documents, etc. on the tablet’s screen.*(see note) It’s proven to be a handy accessory. This Galaxy Tab comes with an S-Pen, which basically allows you to do the same types of things. I really like that. If I were an artist, I’d make even more use of the pen, but alas, I am merely a writer. Still, being able to take personal notes, share marked-up documents, and even sign a virtual autograph, is super cool! For people needing to use something like what this device has to offer for work, or creative endeavors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will perform more than adequately. Oh, and I did try out some of the ‘adult coloring pages’ preloaded into the PENUP app. So fun! They even had an ostrich - my favorite animal!
*As with my “other favored tablet and Pencil” I found myself hesitant to use the S-Pen with the Galaxy Tab, simply because I’m predisposed to think writing on a glass screen with a ‘blunt instrument’ may damage its surface. But then I must remind myself, it’s made for that. Heh.
Plus, you can customize the S-Pen in settings to assign the side button to do a variety of actions or AirCommands. I’ve got mine assigned to act as a remote control to take pictures. Spare/replacement S-Pen tips are included, along with a special tool for removal of the old one.
Position of the S-Pen on the back of the tablet, while seeming to be secure, does prevent the Galaxy Tab from laying flat on a surface. It is convenient, however, that when placed there, that is how the S-Pen recharges itself. And it is magnetized, so it should stay put, and therefore be handy to use when desired.
The S6 uses the latest (available as of now) Android 9.0 operating system. Coupled with an ... did I read this right? ... Octa-core processor ...? Wow. Navigating through my active apps and using the Google browser, was smooth, without any noticeable delay, except the usual wait for a webpage to open, which was considerably less, considerably, than the tablet I currently use. Responsive, and yes, I would go so far as to call it ‘lightning fast.’ I could most certainly tell the difference between my experience with this tablet, and one bogged down by too many open tabs constantly refreshing in the background, struggling to work using an older processing chip. Yeah.
A notable feature I’d like to mention, is that this Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab has several options you can customize to provide a more secure experience for your tablet. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner, PIN number, and facial recognition; all on-par with features you find available for other electronic devices.
The Galaxy S6 Tab’s 2560x1600 resolution brings images ‘alive’ in crisp, clear, vivid color. In a word, the graphic quality is beautiful. Plus, the 8mp front camera, and 16mp+8mp autofocus rear camera, make the most of what this tablet is visually capable of.
I watch a lot of YouTube and Netflix videos. That type of content consumes a lot of power. On average, I only get a half day of actual battery life on a full charge with my current tablet. Recharging takes about as long as it probably should, but this Galaxy Tab recharges much, much faster! Plus, on a full charge, this Android tablet still has enough power for a full day’s worth of use, even watching my usual amount of video content.
With the ever-increasing offerings available in the Google Play store, Android devices are becoming more competitive. And just as with “that other well-known brand”, cloud storage allows users to have connectively between all their Android devices.
A feature this Tab S6 has over my beloved tablet is the ability to increase your onboard storage capacity via a microSD slot (card not included - but they are readily available and relatively inexpensive these days). This feature alone, earns the Samsung Galaxy tablet extra points.
I do intend to acquire the bluetooth keyboard/protective case combo with built-in trackpad which is recommended by Samsung (and sold separately), so I can use this as more of a laptop, with this being one of the selling points of this particular tablet.
The fact that this tablet is slim and lightweight, matters little to me. I’m more concerned about how the device performs, its features, and value relative to its cost. Essentially, is the tablet worth considering? Yes.
Do I recommend this Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab? Most definitely! Yes, yes, yes! Its price is less than the comparable version of that “other tablet”, and having the ability to increase the device’s built-in storage capacity, the addition of the S-Pen, not to mention the tablet’s sleek, clean profile, along with its overall great performance, make it a true contender among the variety of choices out there for ‘laptop alternative’ tablets. Buy this S6 Tab, you won’t be sorry.

The screen is beautiful. Speedy. Can install extra memory. The only thing I view as a negative is the pen goes on the back of the tablet. It is held by magnet and is charged there as well. Not very many covers accommodate that location. It is a very nice tablet and does have a good battery life too

I haven't updated my tablet since the galaxy tab S2. This one is so fast, and clear and so great to have! I use it for some of my planning, crafting and general entertainment (light gaming, and lots of streaming). The battery like is pretty great as well. Loving having a stylus for when I'm altering some of my crafting patterns! Great buy and I'm so glad I got this one!
