Samsung tablet S7 Plus
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, Display, PenThis tablet works awesome!! It is almost identical to my Samsung S20 Ultra in usage and format, except I actually see more items or places to activate things I hadn't seen before. Screen clarity is fresh! Movie downloads are quick and I bought the extended mini card of 250 gigs i think. Anyway, I am very please with it and recently had it on my lap on a road trip to Utah for 10 hours and even more recently for our first flight since covid stuff to Seattle and watched movies on both. Weaknesses I guess would be learning to hold right so as to not separate the magnetized screen from the keyboard. I started folding it backwards behind and that works when no flat surfaces. Thats about it, great product and great pricing. I'm 57 yo. PS. Not sure of the brand but the zip case is slick! PPS. The pen is stored inside the case nicely, but I haven't used as much so far.

Why I'm returning it.
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Keyboard, Pen, SpeedI'm giving it 3 stars because there no headphone jack. I've tried many USB-C and USB to 3.5MM jacks and none of them work on gaming headsets. They work on the little gummy earphones. It's pretty sad. Another bad thing is the Samsung keyboard. It's the worst design ever. The Samsung Tab S4 Samsung Keyboard was way better. The tablet is fast and the pen is just as good as the Apple Pencil. I'm returning it.

After buying an iPad...
|Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Been a long time Apple user. I really like the integration of their devices. Lately Apple's been doing some shady practices which I just can't support. That, on top of the sky high prices made this an easy choice. At first, I tried out an iPad pro, with the extra drive space ( I like to have at least 256GB for storage and media) plus a keyboard, came out to $1,900+ That's a crazy price for a tablet. At the end of the day this thing is for emails, movies, and document work. Sure the iPad has extra power, but the day I'm cutting and rendering a 4k movie on an iPad I need to take a step back and figure out where my life went wrong. The Tab S7+ is not slow by any means. It crunches through tasks without delay. This S7+ with a Samsung Keyboard Case ( I waited until the keyboard was on sale) was less than half of the cost of a iPad pro with Apple keyboard. So the main differences? Screen The iPad is a bit taller and that does help document productivity, but to save over a thousand dollars I guess I'll just have to scroll more. The Samsung wins out for the deep contrast and colors of OLED. The S7+'s 12" screen is a perfect size for portability and practicality. With the factory keyboard attached it's my go to device to take with me when I need something bigger than a phone. Side Note: I also have a Samsung Book S which can use this tablet as a second screen. This should work with any windows laptop and it's very cool. Using this tablet as a second screen with my Book S, which has an always on LTE connection makes this a very competent fully mobile setup. Software Most of what I use is found on the Play Store, MS office suite and a few other apps that come pre-installed on the tab S7 like 'Pen Up' help me edit and sign documents on the go. You can control the window sizing and orientation so some developers who haven't updated their apps for landscape will still work on this natively widescreen orientation tablet. Speaking of which, this tablet has the camera on the top when in landscape orientation. The right way to use it on video calls especially when attached with a keyboard. BTW the camera and audio is among the best on calls. For my use this is 50% a work device and 50% a leisure device. As a work device it's more than competent to work on documents, emails, signing contracts, etc. As a leisure device there is no reason to spend more than this, it's the best it gets for the money. Bonus Here's where Samsung really shines and stands out from the competition. The display and audio are top notch, you may find some that have this or that small advantage but overall the S7+ is the tablet to beat at any price. Included S Pen, having the pen and it being a good pen cannot be over stated. Even if you don't use it often, it's better to have an not need, than need it and not have. The SD Card support, The fact that my laptop can load to an SD Card and then I can pop that card into this tablet is incredible. It gives me one more point of feeling like this can handle whatever my needs will be. Many times I have to transfer files from one device to the other and this makes it a breeze. The Samsung eco system, yes they have one and this tablet can do the wireless file transfers or photo syncs like Apple can. Finally, there's Dex, let's not forget this desktop like OS they built into their devices. I just wish they wouldn't restrict it so much and let me use my laptop in Dex mode, but the Tab S7+ can be switched to use fully in Dex mode. Improvements Samsung has built a great device, but it's not perfect. My gripe isn't so much with the tablet (although the software experience does have some progress to make) it's mostly with the OEM keyboard I have issues. At it's price point the keyboard should be backlit and the trackpad should be much better. Perhaps even more premium materials to go with the metal and glass tablet. At least this is something the market can address. Otherwise this is a solid tablet to use for years to come.

Good for Elderly
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I bought this as a gift to my technology-challenged 80-year-old husband so he could read the morning newspapers when the carrier was late delivering. He selected the 12.4" size tablet as being a comfortable size to hold and see. The graphics quality is excellent. He adapted quickly to the touch screen method of navigation which seems to be less confusing to him than the keyboard/menu system on his laptop. What he doesn't know or care about is the "power" and storage built in so we could travel with it and keep up with e-mail, entertain the grandchildren, and load useful apps that I will "hide" so as to keep the home screen simple for him.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is a remarkable tablet. It covers all the needs for production, creativity and entertainment. The big screen is perfect for watching movies or TV show. The Pen is a joy to use for drawing, painting and many other useful things. Battery Life is great can go a whole day without charging. I've a Ipad user until this tablet and I"m happy I gave this Samsung tablet a chance its well worth the price.

Great Design
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5First time Samsung tablet buyer. Did not disappoint. Great picture and sound quality. Easy to use and great design. The pen is probably the worst part for me; it's light but still doesn't stick as well as it should to the back and side and runs out of battery after a day of use. I understand it can still be used without battery life but it's a little odd that it has to be charged so often.

Great tablet, nice size!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Got it for my husband for Christmas, so only 3 days old. Very vivid colors. Much faster response time than our old tablet. Took me a bit to set it up but got it. My husband is not tech savvy and he can use it easily. One PITA issue - one step requires that a text be sent to verify we are us. That's great if you have a smartphone. Not so great for a landline. No work around. I couldn't get past it. An hour later I gave up & called my brother; asked if I could use his number for the text; that is what we did. Finally got to the next step.

Overall satisfied
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Definitely meets expectations. Steep price compared to a laptop though. Has not replaced my laptop, but portability is what I like better. I tend to use it for media consumption more than email and other tasks. Samsung Dex is not exactly perfect, but I'm optimistic it will improve over time.

Best, most flexible tablet
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5The Samsung S7+ is in my opinion the best tablet you can get. I got this from an older iPad Pro 12”. At first I didn’t like the aspect ratio but it has grown on me. I find the Android os to be much more capable and user friendly. With the tablet cover, DeX mode is unmatched by anything that Apple can offer in its large iPad Pro. This is a legit laptop substitute (stand in... not replacement).

Terrible screen, amazing pen
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality3 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I bought this tablet over a surface pro and other tablets for one reason: the amazing reputation of a samsung OLED screen. My past samsung devices have had such bright, vibrant screens and I was so excited to have a tablet just like them. And at 120hz! Hooray! But I was wrong. This screen is soooo washed out. Watching youtube videos is almost sickening the quality is so bad. Plus it has a weird green tint, which is especially visible in dark mode! After some research, this is aparently a huge problem on the new 120hz panels both on tablets and phones. I couldn't be more disappointment. My 2nd generation tab has a better screen! The only reason I'm keeping this is tablet is because of the pen. With the new improved response time and a 120hz screen... wow its is amazing for notes, journaling, and art. For that stuff, there is no replacement. Finally, the case and keyboard that came bundled are VERY HEAVY and make this all together about as heavy as my 5 year old laptop, which makes holding it up in your hands very difficult.
