Coming from the original gears to the gear S2 to the gear S3 to the galaxy watch and then now this, I'd say that each one has been special and unique in their own way, all while incrementally improving on the software and features. This one is special in that it is sleek and light, and the function seems to be the same as the galaxy watch... like a galaxy watch and a galaxy active had a baby. I would almost say that there is a place in your wardrobe for both the galaxy watch and the watch active, but I am just too lazy to charge and maintain two smart watches. I'd actually have the gear S3 frontier and this one. Anyway, if you have a samsung phone, and you want a smart watch, then just get this. It is the best samsung has to offer, and thus the best that android has to offer.

    LOVE THIS WATCH!

I really love this watch! I waited about a year because my Gear S2 hadn't completely died yet and now I don't know why I waited so long. I can get about 3 days of battery life out of the watch and that's with the live wallpaper and bluetooth connection. Pairs well with my Pixel 2. No issues with connectivity. GPS is a dream. Some of the apps could use a bit of sprucing up, but I didn't buy the watch because of the app store. I LOVE the gold color and I'm so happy I went with the stainless steel - I get a lot of compliments. And so glad I opted for the 44mm because it doesn't overpower my wrist and still pairs well with outfits. Only complaint so far is that it doesn't always register my movement 100% accurately all the time. And the wristbands look great, but I wish they would have sent a S/M. The leather has already stretched out a bit and I have to push the watch further back on my arm to keep it snug against my skin. think the M/L really suits men better.

Researched extensively before buying. This was a gift for my wife and I figured if I was gonna spend the money I should make sure it's got ALL the features and then some. So, we went with the LTE version on Verizon and THAT necessitated the 44mm version due to the increased battery draw. But it's totally worth it. The 44mm looks great on my wife (and she is 5'1" and very petite with small wrists) and she loves the fact she can field calls without having to always have her phone on her. On a walk with the kids? No need to lug the phone along. Doing stuff around the house? No need to worry about bringing the phone from each room. It's definitely convenient and she still gets about 2 days of battery out of it without charging. Highly recommended.

Best looking watch on the market. The stainless steel version looks way better than the aluminum one. Screen looks great, shows finger prints very easy but that's to be expected. Coming from the first Galaxy watch, this is the best successor. I got an open box version and sold my old watch which helped with the high price but if you can afford it I definitely recommend. Tmobile offers plans at $5 for the LTE, not bad.

Switched from a Ticwatch E on Wear OS to the Active 2. I wanted something with LTE for work and the Active 2 fit the bill. When paired with my phone the battery life is great, like 3 days easy. When in standalone I can make it through the work day on a single charge but just barely. The service is really bad in the area though so I can understand the quick drain. The watch is snappy and I've had very little frustrations functionality wise. No regrets on the purchase.

This was my first smartwatch purchase ever. Personally, I've never been a fan of any of the smartwatches on the market with the exception of the Apple Watch, and that's not an option for me because I'm a Samsung smartphone user. I'm also not a fan of the more rugged, bulkier watch designs with the complicated rotating bezels and numbers. I prefer a much more streamlined, all-screen watch with minimal bezels. I don't like squarish watch designs, preferring the more traditional round looking timepiece instead. As an aside, I used to play with the older Samsung watches in the store, and while they were nice, I could never really see myself wearing them (too bulky). Well, Samsung really knocked it out of the park with the Watch Active2! The design of this watch is gorgeous! I have the 44mm stainless steel silver model with the black leather band. Considering I haven't worn a watch in a while, it fits and feels great! I also like to go for runs in the park, and the fitness tracking features are indispensable, especially being able to track your run via GPS and see your heart rate in real time. Apparently, an ECG and blood pressure monitoring feature is coming soon after it gets cleared by the FDA. And there are all kinds of other cool things you can do, like text your friends, browse the internet, control music on your phone, use Samsung Pay, etc. There's a software gesture that emulates the rotating bezel (not turned on by default), and it works works well to navigate the watch. My only quibbles are the lack of available apps, some screen sensitivity issues, and the very small internal storage capacity. You get 4 GB of internal storage, even on the stainless steel model, and over 2 GB are in use by system apps before you can even install your own! Sometimes, when swiping down from the top of the watch, the screen doesn't register the input at first. Waiting a few seconds after waking up the watch helps, as does keeping the screen clean. And Samsung really needs to catch up to Apple in the third-party app department. It's getting better, and it's not really a huge deal since most of the built in apps do the job for me, but this is one area where Apple has Samsung beat. Other than that, it's been a really great product for me, and I'm enjoying using it!

Most important to me is the fitness tracking aspects of this watch. Not sure about calorie counts, but heart rate is far more useful to me. I've worn this while exercising and while using an external HR monitor. The Active2 occasionally seems to jump to an inaccurately high HR and gets stuck there. I need to reset the exercise to get it back no track. But that's infrequent and it is otherwise consistent with the external monitor.

Easy to use and in less than 2 weeks showing utility. I will say that linking to our ATT Samsung g205G was an ordeal and it took a knowledgeable AT&T rep about an hour. Would not recommend trying to get it set up with virtual sim for phone service by yourself. Easy to use, the charger has a magnetic base that latches to the phone and charges quickly. So far a full charge lasts 4-5 days which is fine.

We purchased this watch from best buy as it was on sale and cheaper that getting it from a wireless carrier. We got this watch unlocked as we are considering changing carriers in few months. Waiting for the 2020 upgrade software that will then have the EKG and man down features. If you dont plan on activativing a line on this type of watch. Get the next model down and still have all the same features and save allot of money.

We got this for my husband for father's day 2020 and he has loved it so far. He has had no problems with it and says the battery life could last days on a single charge. He was also able to easily add it to our AT&T phone plan for $10 a month. I also purchased the Samsung silicone band and he says it is way more comfortable than the leather one that comes with the watch. 10/10 would recommend.

At first I was very skeptical about buying this watch as an unlocked version because I saw all those complaints and issues everyone else was having getting the cellular to work but I had to try it for myself and at first it was a bit of a confusing process but is pretty simple and works flawlessly. I've ran multiple tests turn my phone completely off and set it to airplane mode to make sure that my number would still ring on the watch I was able to successfully make and receive a call. Design wise I like this watch over the other Samsung models because it's slim and bold design plus almost all custom watch bands look better on this watch compared to the Galaxy Watch 3. Because so many people struggled with pairing this to AT&T I want to give everyone the proper instructions, this will work for the Galaxy Watch 3 also. 1. (Get you an eSim first), this can be purchased at AT&T, it's on a blue credit card sized plastic card with a QR Code and a few barcodes. Go into the Wearables app and choose the option that says add cellular plan, it will ask you for a code and this is when you use your phone's camera to scan that QR code. (Remember the goal is to add that ICCID from that blue sim card to the watch so your watch should have an IMEI, EID and should now have a ICCID after scanning the QR Code and adding the data plan) 2. (Add new line to your account) You may be directed to the ATT app or Website but this watch will have to have its own line with a random phone number on your account so now that this is done it has cellular and is now considered a "Standalone Watch" meaning you can call from the watch independently using that random number AT&T assigned to it. Either way your watch should now show LTE or 4G and show signal bars now your half way done. 3. Now that the watch is on your account and has a cellular connection you'll want it to share the same phone number as your phone and in order to do this go into the settings on the actual watch itself and go to "Connections" scroll down and you'll see a new option that says AT&T NumberSync".. Now remember this option will not show up until the watch knows it's affiliated with AT&T..... You'll chose the option to setup Number sync and your phone will open a link asking for a code and that code will be generated on your watch. Enter the code and boom it's done!

    Love My Active2 Watch!

I love, love this watch. I originally purchased the 45mm Watch 3. It was too heavy and too big. I did not like the way the bezel moved. Was not smooth. My sister had the Active 2 so I compared the two and decided to exchange the Watch 3 for the Active2 LTE 44 mm. It is not as heavy and is smaller on the arm than the Watch 3. Battery seems to last longer and I love the digital bezel. That takes away the clunkiness of the the Watch 3. Plus, after having the Watch 3, I could compare to see if it had more than the Active2 in the way of apps. It did not after the November update. They have the same. I am so happy I exchanged the Watch 3 for this Active2. Have had it 3 weeks now and still love it. Great to be able to talk if I leave my phone home. Works great in the car also. Everyone says they can hear me and it is very clear hearing them with my hand on the steering wheel. Have nothing bad to say about it. Great watch!

I am still learning about this watch, but I am very satisfied with it. I got the Stand Alone, so I could use it without my phone. I think the 44mm makes it easier to read messages since it it bigger. I have small wrists but it doesn't look too big on my wrist. The watch band that comes with it is way to big for my wrist. I would have to put extra holes in the watch band. My only complaint is Best Buy could not give me a number to go with the Stand Alone function, and I had to go to Verizon to get it hooked up to use it without my phone. And, yes you have to pay an extra $10.00 a month to Verizon for this service.

I upgraded from the galaxy watch 42mm which had a very poor battery life. While the battery life is much better, standalone option sucks the battery life out of this watch as well. On bluetooth, the battery is much better in this watch and makes it a good upgrade. I love the touch bezel much better than the physical one on the old watch. Alot of the same options on this watch but definitely a nice watch. I have been a Samsung user for 15 years now and will continue to choose their products over Apple in the future! Just purchased a Samsumg dishwasher over other brands because of the durability and reliability of almost all their products I have owned. My wife also enjoyed the upgrade because of the watch that I previously owned belongs to her now.

Received as a gift for my birthday. I have researched several smart watches and am sooo happy to have been gifted this. Set up was a breeze that you will do initially from your phone. You can even add pictures and it has speaker phone. The fitness tracking is great and when placing calls you are crystal clear. Most dont even know I am speaking thru the watch. This is can track and remind you of everything. Even apps not directly added on the watch itself. Texting takes some getting used to but you can use speech recognition. The little charger is nifty. I just wish the cord was a little longer.

This watch fixes all the complaints I had about the original galaxy watch active. First the bezels are much smaller this time around and they're touch sensitive! The original had massive bezels that weren't. You can make phone calls now! I got the LTE version just because of that fact! The 44mm size is an option! I ended up returning my original galaxy watch because of the reasons stated above (large bezels, no calls) but also because it genuinely looked like a toy on my wrist with how small it fit on me. This new one looks so much better and the leather band that comes with the LTE model gives it a real elegant touch. Very happy with the purchase!
