The app is very different. Love it other than the battery life. I barely get a full day. I compared the 7 and the ultra, and really, the only difference was the battery. The ultra was hundreds more for a bigger battery, so i thought it couldn't be that bad. My watch 3 lasted 2 to 3 days, so the new updated watch should last the same. Nope!

I bump it on stuff all the time. The band is the same...often hooking it on something.

One of my favorite features is the water lock. It is water resistant so it can be worn in the shower or a pool. It tracks fintness and health decently. You can even set reminders to take daily medications. My only real complaint would be the battery life. It usually needs to be charged every other day. Unlike my previous smart watch, witch would ususally last a week give or take a day.
