Even BETTER in 4K.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a must-have item if you have the Gear VR headset. The previous camera had a slight seam when lacing 360 pictures. Light, compact, and with a tripod mount, it is ready for an extend o to take breath-taking shots.

Best 360 camera, not for 4k
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera is great for 360 photos. 4k video after 30-45 mins makes it over heat. The 4k video doesn't look 4k after the video is stitched together.

Interesting gadget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Requires the use of a Samsung smart phone. Good for capturing a 360 degree field of view, but not quite a sharp image quality as expected.

Great Entry Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking to get into 360 photos and videos. Then its a good entry camera. However, the quality isn't the best for professional level work.

Samsung 360 4K VR Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice camera. One problem that I have with it is that it's hard to get the App on the phone and the camera to sync up. Still like the camera.

Study before buying to ensure you're happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is somewhat of a niche product. You have to want 360 video or photos. People with Samsung S8 through maybe S6 love it, other phones or the Apple ecosytem may be problematic. A plus for Gear VR owners. A good PC for editing also needed. If you study this in advance and it sounds good despite documented limitations, it's hard to beat at this price point. Go in with your eyes open and I think you'll love it. Cons: 1. Mine has overheated twice, both times in 90+ degree weather after about an hour of recording. I recommend not watching your video record on the phone via Bluetooth to possibly keep the cam cooler. With the phone not connected, I'd be comfortable with getting an hour or more of continuous recording over 90 degrees in the sun. Can work around this. 2. The two large curved lens protector surfaces are potentially very vulnerable to scratches and chips. These should be an easily replaced cheap part in my opinion. Multiple people report damaging them in reviews of this and the prior model. Be extra careful with these! Pros: 1. For the money and within the Samsung ecosystem, this is a LOT of functionality. Cheaper than any other camcorder or camera I've ever bought. It has specific technical limits since its main function is 360 recording: no optical zoom, 4K video means 4K for all 360 degrees so it's more like HD for any given half-circle you're looking at, etc. 2. Some people suggest that the small screens like phones are where the video and pictures will look their best and most detailed. Probably true. But a little fuzziness on large screens or on the Gear VR is OK with me at this price and while I'm experimenting with 360 for the first time. 3. Transfer a recording from cam to phone and stitching occurs in the process. You can then upload straight to YouTube or move the files to your PC for further editing. 4. Corel's latest VideoStudio (X10) adds an interesting twist. You can play back your 360 video and move the viewing point around while doing so. This lets you emphasize the parts of the 360 view that tell the story you want as opposed to just using the whole 360 view as filmed. Once you define what the user will see, you convert the film to a flat HD video. Example: put cam on the sideline of a soccer game. It catches the whole game by definition in wide-angle. Edit it and follow the ball as appropriate to tell the story you want to tell. Then convert this to a flat film. It looks like someone was physically on the sideline during the game moving the cam around with the action. You lose the 180 degrees behind you but that doesn't really matter in this context. Of course, what I'd most like to do is plop the cam on a tripod in the middle of the field and keep it in 360 for playback!

A Very good beginner 360 cam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this was my 1st 360 cam, exceeded my expectations, took it for trekking near a water fall, very durable banged the glass cover a couple of time but it left no scratches or craks, live streaming working perfectly.

Great features in a small package!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now that it is iOS compatible I was more inclined to purchase one. It works exactly as advertised and works really well at that! iOS compatibility is great and the 360 videos are seamless for a normal user like me.
