I wear this every day, I usually charge it while I'm sleeping, but now that it connects to my wifi at home the battery lasts forever! I fell asleep with it on once and it tracked my sleep even. I didn't even know it had that feature. You can get so many different faces that I change them all of the time. It tracks calories burned, steps taken, floors, (especially good if you climb a lot of stairs), has numerous workout settings, you can track your water and caffeine intake as well. My boyfriend wishes he would have bought one for himself as well. I have the small/medium-sized Gear fit2, and it fits perfectly and is comfortable. My only complaint is that you can only use the charger that comes with it to charge it. It's not micro usb like most phones. So, unless I want to take the charger everywhere I can only charge it at home, unless I buy an additional charger of course, and can't charge it while wearing it either. But overall, I love it and would recommend it.

Basically, the only bad things about the Gear Fit 2 are the Band and Apps. The band is a little bit hard to get on sometimes. I downloaded the Spotify app on the Gear Fit 2 but it is basically a glorified controller. (The Gear does not have speakers although you can connect Bluetooth headphone wirelessly.) I also downloaded 50 songs on to my gear ( you can download more.) which you can play to Bluetooth headphones. On my Fit 2, one of the buttons would get stuck sometimes but that is probably only mine. This has GPS which works well and wifi. The battery life is not very good but the charger is a cradle and is not a plug. It has a lot more that some other bands, Like Fitbit. If you have an Android phone and were going to get a Fitbit I definitely suggest you get this. One last thing is that you can pick up calls (no mic on the gear so you talk to phone) and respond to texts. Which I love and use a lot. I find the S health app is good too.

This is a great fitness tacker. The only one in this price point that has a GPS/device screen that didn't need your phone to view distances, and is slim enough for my small wrist. Other watches with the same features stood out from my wrist, even as tight as I could wear them, you could see light between my arm and the device on the edges. I needed a GPS because when pushing my son in a stroller a pedometer doesn't count steps. I didn't care about the smart watch notifications, but I must admit they have come in handy to catching more texts in a timely manner. I like that feature. I've also banged my arm hard into solid things and the glass is fine. It had the distinct advantage of also not messing up the step count when using power tools, like some pedometers. The only down side so far is that you will miss your step goal if you are only using the GPS and not moving your arms, there's no way to average steps per mile and add them to your goal count. This is annoying to not make goal when you know you did, especially if you're in a community challenge. Another issue is a minimum of watch faces available so far, though that will obviously change the longer the device has been out. Also, if I use the GPS for an hour+ each day then the battery only lasts 2 days. I typically charge it every night, I don't like sleeping in a watch so this isn't really inconvenient, and it's battery is usually at 40-70% depending on my activity for that day.

The first time I've looked at it online already caught my interest not to mention i also have the first gear fit that i love but the more irresistible part is seeing it actually in front of you, it didn't give me a chance to decide I just grabbed it away. It is slick, slim and beautifully designed and wearing it the first time is an eye catcher and functionality is an ease and intuitive interface aside from extra added features, all in all its a ten for me and this one's gonna be tne mistress of my first one lol...

I recently purchased the gearfit2 after my second Fitbit broke. I wanted something not only sturdy, but also waterproof. With hesitation I purchased the gearfit2. After arriving home I tried on the device and it was huge on my small wrist. In addition, I discovered that it was only able to go 1.5 meters deep- and reviews stated it should not be worn showering... usability...the device was easy to manipulate and displayed a lot of info. Wish it were waterproof and smaller!

The watch is a good fit with the small band. Be careful to snap it on tight because I almost dropped the watch twice. The AMOLED face is a good size. It gives me alerts from my email. I'm not sure if it always gives me alerts to my text messages. May have to reconnect every once in a while. It took going into the store to have a Best Buy salesperson set it up for me to have it work, which also took a bit but they were very patient and I had the time. It has other functions I haven't used yet, such as the music I can store and play on a Bluetooth, or all the health monitors. All in all a futuristic look, lightweight watch that can do what it says if set up correctly. Btw, it does not come with the USB wall adapter from Samsung but it has the dock and cord.

The watch itself is pretty nice - nice interface, good brightness for direct sunlight, and battery life exceeding 24 hours with moderate usage (not including GPS, which I've not used frequently enough to speak about). I like the ability to create your own face for the watch with software freely available from Samsung. The 'stairs' feature is wildly inaccurate - I think Samsung used a simple barometer to measure stairs, and it's something that isn't reliable Sometimes it will register one or several flights of stairs that I didn't really walk. I haven't really tested the water-resistant properties - it's done fine, as most everything would, in light rain, and I haven't worn it while showering.
And with all of the nice things the watch can do, mine is uncharged and gathering dust on my table. Samsung (presumably) decided that some corners should be cut to keep the manufacturing cost down - in the case of the Fit 2, the most obvious cut corner is the strap. The piece Samsung chose to connect the strap is a push-through like Fitbit only uses for its $99 (and less) models. Except Samsung's is worse, because I had a cheap Fitbit that is usable after 18 months, but my Samsung Fit2 strap had the piece fall off (and lost) in less than a month. It wasn't due to an impact and there's no damage to the strap or indication how the piece came out.
Worst of all is Samsung's support - to date, I've tried the 'Contact' from the Fit2, email, phone, and online chat. Each time my query seems to get routed to someone who can't seem to grasp the problem I'm describing. I'm not sure if its a fluency issue, or if there's a name for the missing piece that I'm not aware of, but every attempt to get help ends with Samsung claiming that the part is not covered under the warranty and that I'll have to pay to have it replaced. I read the warranty, and I can tell you that it doesn't mention anything about a part or piece being excluded from the warranty, which is supposed to last for 1 year. Additionally, even the email support, to whom I sent a picture of the missing piece with the otherwise undamaged strap, said that it was not covered under warranty, which indicates that they're not asserting 'negligent/abnormal use' (and I've definitely not been negligent or used it abnormally). The only thing I can think is that Samsung considers it 'Normal wear and tear' for an absolutely necessary piece of the Fit2 to fall off in less than 30 days.
In summary, I do not recommend this product. I bought it expecting it to meet certain requirements, notably that it should be usable for more than a few weeks. I understand that occasionally defects happen and I'm tolerant of working with a manufacturer to make it right, but I can't imagine why a company embroiled in a PR disaster like the Note 7 and exploding washing machines would set such a low quality bar for its other product lines, not to mention its Help(less) Desks.

I killed my fit bit and stopped in to see if the had anything better, still small banded, and water proof. And this was it. It was even on sale. I like it can accidentally go in the shower, I can reply with short text, it syncs with my phone, and you can download faces, themes, and even games.

Great fitness device tracks heart rate, steps, and has alerts for phone calls/texts and whatever app you want to be alerted about. Custom/downloadable Watch faces. Battery lasts 3-4 days, depending on what type of watch face you use. I love it!

This wearable maybe useful as a page holder, but the book may get offended. I bought this for my wife in July. It has been returned to Samsung 5 times already due to bad software. After being on the charger all day, it says my wife has walked up 78 flights of stairs and has burned 1250 calories. WE don't have stairs and if we did, my wife would not walk up that many flights

This watch will not stay on your wrist. The 2nd day of owning it. It fell off my waist and cracked. It is not worth the money. Beside the issues with the strap and the screen is fragile . It is a nice watch.

I do really enjoy this gear fit 2! I love being able to respond quickly to text messages from my wrist. I feel it's pretty user friendly and easy to figure out. It does track really well and I love the heart rate feature for working out. There is also a workout timer which is an added bonus. Here is why I did not give it 5 stars. Only complaints are the band pops off some for me carrying my 2 year old daughter and the battery runs out really quickly if you have it connected to your phone all the time. I switch to power saving mode mostly to be able to wear it longer. If the battery were able to last longer while connected to my phone I would definitely give it 5 stars! I do like this better than my fitbit flex!
