My watch works as it was designed. Unfortunately, I had higher expectations. First, text messages are not saved on the watch at all. (They were saved on the older model I used to use.) Don't plan on looking up a text message on where or when to meet someone, you will have to use your phone.Only 5 of the 14 stock displays include the date, and the date is in very small type, which makes no sense since most of the display is wasted blank space. I bought a display with larger type that is basic but for me easier to glance at and read right away. I don't like the way you cant go back a screen without pressing a button. I preferred using the touch screen to go back. I worry that I will wear out the back-a-screen button faster than I could ever have worn out a touch screen. Gone is the basic calendar app that would let me see a month calendar. Now it seems I would have to buy a calendar main display, and that is not what I need or want. What I like is the display seems crisper/brighter even at low levels. It has many more types of activities it will track. I was surprised and like the inactivity tracker. The constant visibility of the step tracker and blood pressure monitors are fun. I probably won't use the digital storage space for music on the watch.

I like what this watch can do, but I am having a very hard time setting up the music and running apps - I was under the impression this would sync with my Samsung phone and my current apps would work, but that is not the case, so my Run Double app can not be used. The Music set up has been more detailed than I would have liked. I am not giving up on it because I am willing to take the steps to make it fit to my needs. If you are not technically suave then this is not for you. I am not, but I have people around me that can help. Not sure I like the feel of it on my wrist, would like to explore a different band if that is possible - I do not suggest this type of item if you want to put it on and it be self starting - it is not - Careful selecting your BlueTooth head phones too, I have the Beats and they were rather difficult to set up too. If anyone has any set up pointers for this product please comment - especially on the music part..

This watch is far more accurate than fitbit, prettier, and has many more features. You kind of get more than you pay for, but... it's missing a few types of workout such as rope skipping and push-ups. Also the watch is somewhat inconvenient since some workouts requires you to count with your mouth through bluetooth instead of just sensing your activity. And last, and most importantly, the battery doesnt last as long as the description says (2 to 3 days). I set the watch from minimun to medium settings to only last 1 to 1.5 days. I would give this watch 3.5/5. I certainly recommend this watch, but i suggest Samsung comes up with a big update for this watch

I found that this watch did not function well for me. I have always had trouble with heart-rate monitors which I have used in athletic contexts. While I had hoped that the different and newer technology would not have the same problems, it continued to be so with this product. Still, if I were still trying to compete at a high level (top 100 at the Boston Marathon-level) I would have kept it. A secondary factor is that I had switched from a Samsung phone to an iPhone a little ways back and some of the functionality was lost. For others without my semi-unique physiological aspects this is probably a 4.5 star product.

Inaccurate calorie calculations for exercises and it adds in your BMR for burned calories with no option to turn this function off. You would need to use a separate calorie calculator for just activity to get your regular burnt calories alone. Step calculations off. Can't adjust inactive health nudge times, it's stuck at 50 minutes. If it's not tight on wrist the heart rate is inaccurate as well. And in order to do more advanced stuff you have to download app upon app on your phone instead of the convenience of just one app. However, it's a nice screen, and it's better than most other active trackers at this price range. I got it for swimming and it is on point for tracking laps/lengths swam.

What can I say... The battery life is too short. I've noticed it started recording cycling when I was driving a car at 70 mph. What a joke! And it's suspicious, I'm aware that someone might be tracking me through this device. And by someone I literally mean anyone like a hacker, Russians, North Koreans, Samsung and their affiliates for a price. So probably it's not that bad that I've accidentally put it in the garbage with my trash at some gas station in California.

Pro: It works to record my steps & heart rate & reminds me if I haven't moved for awhile. I can see my messages & know my phone is ringing and the number. Con: Only wear it from about 6 am to 10pm (not at night) & battery is down to 50%. Does not show the same amount of steps on my phone as are on the device. Decides not to count hundreds of steps at times. Never counts stairs & I live in a 2-story house with a basement & hit the stairs more than 20 times a day. Overall: Good for how I use it I guess.

Had a Polar A360 which charge lasted 5 days, this doesn't even last a day if you have it on the full power. Even if you have it on the save power, it still needs to be recharged often. Also, if you have it on the save power, I cannot read the time during the night as the print is so small. I really wish that Best Buy would have kept the Polar A360. It does do a great job tracking steps and I like the swimming app which was the main reason that I purchased this watch to replace the Polar A360.

I wore this for the summer with my lifeguarding duties and only had issues with trying to keep the battery alive when I had to up the brightness to see it. But recently the edges of where the band meets the watch face have begun to separate. This makes it catch everything, especially because I have long hair. I do not know if it is the one I got or something else but in the beginning, it was amazing. I swim with it and use it to track steps and heart rate.

This watch is great for someone who wants the basics. It keeps track of steps though not necessarily accurate. It has changeable faces on it. Has a pulse monitor. Bluetooth connection to receive messages is sometimes there. Sometimes not. Bands to change out the band are non existent unless you buy cheap bands from your preferred online retailer in which case they end up being junk.wish Samsung would better support their tech with add ins like face protectors and bands.

Loved it for the first 6 months.

My husband gave me this tracker for Christmas and I wore it about 23 hours a day for 6 months. I used it primarily to track steps and sleep. Then I stuck my hand in my fish tank to grab something from the bottom and soon discovered that it isn't really water resistant, The screen failed several hours later. I sent it to Samsung for repair and they sent it back with a note that they wouldn't fix it due to water damage.

Does not accurately count steps or flights of stairs. Limited number of exercise options for automatic detection. Hard to see in bright sunlight. Music app tough to use as you have to pair it with bluetooth headphones. No Facebook app. No internet access. No capability to answer incoming calls. No way to type responses to messages (only preloaded responses available). Not the best, but not the worst.

In theory this seemed like a good purchase since it was waterproof and looked good, but it didn’t last long. I should have protected it with an additional case, but didn’t want it to get bulky. The screen shattered with very little impact and the time stopped working. Now it’s just collecting dust. Time to spend the money on real wearable tech and get the Apple watch.

With a GPS built inside, I would expect the step country/tracking to be a bit better. It's consistently lower than other trackers I've used. It a decent device for other aspects but hard to recommend. Specifically, if you're utilizing S Health, the software doesn't combine phone + watch steps. It simply divides them into two separate devices tracking independently.

I am still not sure about this product. I got on sale for $149. I wanted something for running with standalone GPS and ability to listen to music offline. I later found out I would need a Spotify premium subscription which I did not currently have. I'm not sure I would ever wear this watch on a regular basis.

Good for tracking steps, calories, etc. Will see how this one does swimming - last one died and Samsung said it had water damage and would not fix/replace (but Best Buy replaced). Supposed to be waterproof, so we'll see how it does this summer. When this one dies, will invest in something different.

I bought this for my wife as an upgrade for the Fit 1. It's nice with a couple more features. Spend the extra cash and go for the sleeker Frontier series. Same basic features with the ability to use your watch as a phone. Convenient when you can't find your phone.

I wear this every day and sometimes it doesn't calculate all my steps. If you are grocery shopping or walking without moving your arms, the watch won't calculate your steps. I thought for the price the watch would be better at the counter. Also, I have had to reset my watch a few times during runs and workouts because it has frozen.

Since I've recently switched to a Samsung phone, I thought I would give the watch a try. Unfortunately, I was less than impressed. The GPS took a really long time to connect, and was rarely accurate. I was hoping it would compare to the Garmin's I have had in the past, but it wasn't even close. Ended up returning it within a month.

I have always had a Fitbit, but got this watch with my new phone. Aside from having to charge it ever 2 days (my Fitbit lasted about a week between charges) I really like the watch and would recommend it for someone looking for a new fitness watch.
