I've had this now for several months and I really love it. It tracks so much more than my old Fitbits did, with a lot more options. Having the music right on it makes going to the gym so much easier. I don't have to carry an ipod around with me. I use it to time my intervals, and I like the voice updates telling me I'm halfway to goal, or almost there. You can turn them off if you don't like the interruptions. I like having the weather right there, and a lot of metrics easily tracked. I also like that I can see who is calling or texting me, and send a quick pre-programmed response without stopping my workout. When at the gym sometimes I'm too far from the locker for it to work, but a quick walk past the locker room picks up anything missed. Cons would be the battery sucks. All prior reviews saying that are dead on. With heavy usage I only get about a day and a half. However, it charges really fast. I put it on the charger when I take a shower, or am standing at the bathroom sink getting ready in the morning, and it's charged when I'm done. The only other con is it runs with several apps linked, where Fitbit just has 1 app that does everything. I'd rather have it all in one place, but it was a small thing to get used to and not a deal breaker for me. The sleek design is much better than the smart watches that are just huge and square and I have no need for half of what they do. It's winter, so I haven't used mine to swim yet, but I've showered in it no problem. Overall, I recommend as long as you don't mind popping it on the charger once a day you'll be fine. It does much more than my fitbits ever did, and addresses a lot of things I felt they lacked. I'm really happy with it.

So far, this watch has been pretty good. I haven't had any technical issues or anything like that. The 4 start rating is because there are some features that sound nice in theory, but really aren't very beneficial. You can answer calls through the watch, but they actually answered on your phone since the watch doesn't have a speaker or microphone. The emoji replies you can use for texting are very limited so most of the time I end up using my phone to choose an emoji or reply to messages. There is an app on the watch to enter your calorie intake to your myfitness pal profile, but you can only increase by 1 calorie at a time and there is no nutrition information. If you have a 300 calorie meal, you have to push the ^ button 300 times. You would also need to know the exact calories if you want to add them through your watch. This feature would be way more beneficial if you could select from a list of favorites or frequently added meals. Overall, I pretty much use the watch for step and sleep tracking, as well as heart rate. It is nice to get notifications even when my phone is on silent. Occasionally I will play music directly from my watch, but I really need to find a better pair of Bluetooth headphones to take full advantage of that. I also use the timer and stop watch quite a bit. Other than that, I don't use too many of the apps. Many of them perform pretty much duplicate functions so maybe some space could have been freed up for other more impressive functions if those were cut back. It really is a decent watch for the price though!

I have my Fit2 paired with my LGv20. After some trial and error and finally downloading the ALL of the apps required to make it work, I have found the smartwatch very useful. Most smart watches do a pretty good job of tracking and reporting activities. This one has an intuitive sense that identifies inactivity and when I have started or ended a workout. This helps me tremendously because i am not discipline in tracking and recording my own actions. the other initial challenge was it holding a charge. It would not last more than 12 to 14 hours without needing to be recharged. I let it charge for two days and since then have been able to go at least 2 days without having to recharge even though the watch is being used more and running more alerts. Another key factor, I switched from another name brand smartwatch and it left a mark/rash on my wrist where the contacts were. this watch has had no negative reactions to body contact. Only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the lack of clarity on setting up the watch for use. It is geared for samsung phones and leaves other phone types to be discovered through trial and error. I am also not sure why the charging issue was when i first bought the watch and then disappeared even though it said i was 100% charged.

The best thing about this I have found is the communication with my phone. I get notifications and information on the watch and that is handy. The fit portions are spotty. The stairs tracker doesn't seem to work. Several reviews and comments on that online. It does not do real time updates with the steps tracker on a phone. You have to ask for an update constantly. My old fitbit was much better with that. The software is pretty good. It is annoying some apps cannot be removed if you don't care to track things like water, food, calories or caffeine on your watch they are there in your way. While it could be improved a lot, the things I need work pretty well so I have been happy so far. It is comfortable. Battery life is fair but the energy saving mode helps. Apps available are limited. I cannot find any app that will let me control or get data from it on my iPad - that is a big downside. I have not found a way to active a do not disturb/ low energy/low light mode at a given time per day. So that means night time is some button pushing or it isnt worth wearing for the sleep modes.

Love it! The only problem I have with it is that it's supposed to be usable in water. I had one previous to this. After a few months I decided to try it out lap swimming. I carefully set the water lock. After that it stopped working. Returned it to Samsung per their instructions and was advised that they could not fix it due to water damage and would not replace it even though it was less than a year old. They told me it was water RESISTANT not WATER PROOF. I bought another only because I like it so much. I will NOT be taking it in the pool. This time I bought the extra repair/replacement plan from Best Buy. I've recommended it to friends but advised them about NOT swimming with it. Also advised the folks at Best Buy so they can tell customers who are interested in this. If I had purchased the Best Buy repair/replacement plan the first time, Best Buy would have replaced it.

Originally I bought the FitBit Charge 3, but after just one week of having it, decided I wanted something with more features and a better interface. I looked at the latest high-end smart watches from Apple, Samsung, etc. but the price points were beyond what I wanted to spend. The Gear Fit2 Pro is a very good balance between those two ends of the spectrum. It tracks a variety of activities, has smart watch aspects, like getting text and email alerts that you can answer from the watch, and also has a wide range of apps, including weather. The comfort is close to the FitBit Charge 3 (which is the most comfortable fitness tracker I've ever had) and has similar aesthetics. The more I wear it, the happier I am I didn't get a bulky, expensive smart watch instead. One drawback is that it pretty much has to be charged every day, but then, so does my phone, so it's a minor inconvenience.

Good: They have replaced the "poke the thing thru the hole" clasp with a standard buckle style. I no longer worry about the watch falling off without me noticing. This happened all the time with the old style "clasp." You can now see at least a week's worth of work-out data. This unit seems to be more sensitive to steps and stairs and my counts are more comparable to the people I pace with. Not so good: When they told me "red" watchband, I wasn't expecting it to be black...which I didn't want. But the only choices were red and black. They should be honest and say black and black with red trim or something to more specifically describe the color. I don't like the Samsumg Phone app that works with this watch. It is not as user friendly as with the old watch.

I am an Iphone user and I was reluctant since this was not an Apple watch and perhaps I was not aware as to how it would adapt to iOS. But it did, and it did well. Apart from the fact that you cannot answer calls or reply to iMessages, it is a great alternative to apple watch in both, fitness tracking and receiving notifications. All notifications from popular apps like Facebook, Whatsapp, Snapchat, Instagram etc work fine and you get the entire messages. The best part about the watch is it is very light and does not feel a burden on your wrist even after the end of the day. The only drawback I would point out is the battery if you have GPS/Always-On display. it will last you only about a day and half at max if you have all of these features on. I would recommend turning off GPS to prolong the battery,

This watch was awesome but became an issue when I became more active. At first while I was training it would freeze or it would not register my miles while I ran. I would run 5 miles but realize the watch froze at the third mile so it only register for three. I would have to constantly look at the watch to make sure it would freeze which would throw me off. The watch had been through a lot, swimming running, training and sweating. I had to return the watch on 3 different occassions. The third time I exchanged the pro for the Gear Sport. I would recommend for people that are transitioning into become more fit but if you are already fit, you will become pretty frustrated with this watch.

I bought this for my wife to count laps. She is not tech savvy and usually if it's electronic she can mess it up. So far she has done pretty well with the watch. She hasn't figured out everything yet because she hasn't used it that much. One thing, the Swim App is worthless for counting laps, but the swim feature under exercises works pretty well. The Swim App wouldn't connect with our older smart phone even though it is a Samsung phone. For my wife it will be fine. She liked the size with the small band. For a lady that likes her jewelry, it's not quite as feminine as we would have liked, but it does have a pink watch face you can change to.

I was impressed that face screen text was easy to read, even without reading glasses. Watch has many different screen faces to choose from. Watch was easy to link with IPhone even without the instructions which were initially difficult to locate. I am still discovering more features this watch has. GPS exercise tracking works very well. Watch gives you a lot of feedback regarding your exercise. I was initially disappointed with the Samsung Health app as it would crash after 60-90 seconds. Latest update has fixed this problem and now app works well on my IPhone. Small size watch band fits my small wrist well. Battery is lasting about 2.5 days with use of GPS tracking and notification and message alerts turned on.

Overall I am pleased with my Samsung GearFit2Pro. It does what I wanted plus some other incidental things that I do not use. For example, the sleep tracking function. The reason I do not use that function points to the watch's major weakness: it has a short power/battery life. I usually have to recharge it at least twice a day, perhaps because I am active. But that is an irritant. The other issue I have with it is that it does not accurately record my pulse rate. I've checked it against several medical devices and the Samsung has been quite a bit off.

I bought this for my wife over Christmas. She really likes it and really only one main complaint. The heart rate sensor isn't accurate at all. We checked it against a medical grade heart rate monitor and it was off by about 20 bpm. The battery life is pretty bad too. It only lasts 1-2 days depending on use. Other than that. she loves that it has internal storage for music, allowing her to exercise without bringing her phone along. Also, it isn't really big on her wrist like most smartwatch/fitness watches are. Overall, good features for the price.

My first Gear Fit was great, lasting just shy of 2 years. Would still have it if the "wireless contacts" had not corroded to the point that they would not make contact. It is not charged by a wire connect, but it still relies on metal contacts to charge. Not the usual definition Of "wireless". But i do like the size, colors, features, price (on sale), and it was reliable and rugged... Until it wasn't. It has also gotten a very good review from my trainer. Bought the protection so i will continue to enjot it for a long time.

This watch fits great on my small wrist and is the second edition I have had. I like the band on this watch over its previous version because it is more watch like. The only reason this watch isn't perfect is because 5% of the time, it crashes during a workout and then I don't get credit for it. Once I restart it it works fine, but during an exercise class recently it wasn't picking up on the exercise and I couldn't get it to restart due to the high intensity of the class.

Love the tracker! Does it's job very well. Great smart watch features, really nice to read and reply to text messages, get the weather, listen to music, etc. The issue, coming from 5 years of Fitbit products, is the Apps. F itbit has one app that does it all, and quite well. Samsung needs several apps that try to talk to each other, and the tracker, to do the same thing. Lots of lag, need to disconnect and reconnect every now and then. Not a compatibility issue, as I am using a Samsung S8+ for my phone. If Samsung can fix this problem, they have a 5+ star system!!!!

The small was too big for my wrist and didn't always read my heart rate accurately. We bought a large band and my husband now uses it. The apps are great but the battery life is awful. If you have a small wrist, definitely wouldn't recommend. Also have to charge every few days so that is annoying. Other than that I did like the band and the exercise options it gives such as lunges and squats pretty good accuracy while performing each rep

Really like the fit with the curve over other trackers. Nice choices of screen. Only downside I found after having a Fitbit charge 2 is your exercise tracking. Doesn't have weights and other routine without getting an app and adding it manually. Other than that I got used to it after a week or so . Definitely would purchase a screen protector. My Fitbit was horrible scratched within weeks then cracked in just over a year.

I was looking to upgrade from my ancient Fitbit Zip, and thought it would be convenient if it also functioned as a watch, so I bought this smartwatch. It works pretty well, except that it seems that my step counts are a lot lower (2,000-3,000 less) than with my Fitbit. I'm not sure if the Fitbit was super sensitive or if the Samsung isn't sensitive enough. Well, I guess this is better though, cuz I work harder to meet my daily goal. The other functions are great.

Finally got the right one that really works with my cell phone. It is easy to understand and helps motivate me to move my body. I have started working out more since I started wearing the watch but not pushing myself too hard. I'm not an athletic person looking for 100% accuracy in the amount of steps I take or compared it with another product I wear. I was looking for a product that worked. The Samsung Gear Fit2 has met all of my expectations. I have not had a chance to test it in the water yet; but, I'm looking forward to it.
