It is a decent watch and the speaker is loud enough for the phone calls but it has some glitches (or I just don't know how to make it work correctly). For instance, even though the setting is set to answer on my phone, every other call starts ringing on my watch until I change it to the phone. It's very annoying. Also, my car has bluetooth for both music and calls prior to getting this watch. Now I cannot make or answer calls in my car with my watch connected to my phone. Lastly, playing music on the watch is a pain. I should say, adding music to the watch so that you can play it is a pain. It would be awesome if you could just download your whole Spotify playlist to the watch. I had a Pebble Time which was a black and white version smart watch....in the sense that you could receive emails and texts, do your steps, and control Pandora from it. It was $99 and had a glitchy screen now and then but it was much easier to read your texts and emails without unknowingly deleting them. I would recommend a ton of improvements before I'd recommend someone buying this for this price.

The Samsung Gear S2 is exactly what I was looking for as my first smartwatch. It has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to set up and is not complicated to use. I enjoy receiving notifications or taking phone calls when my phone is not handy. It is also nice to see the steps you take throughout the day. Watch faces are easy to select.

Cons, it's a tad bulky, and I had to get a different sport band for it since it only came with a leather band. Pros, it has a lot of features. Most importantly, it's water resistant and you can wear it doing laps (where it will also automatically record an exercise)

Watch pairs seamlessly and works great. Music apps are limited but the ones it has work fine. Surprised by how many app notifications will work with this. Just about everything. Battery life is 2 days on normal usage.

I love the watch. The problem is with the Verizon monthly charges.charges. Gets to be quite expensive after the rest of verizons data and use charges. The vibration on the wrist is not as strong as I would like. .

I love this smart watch. I ordered a metal band to give it more of a stylish look. I now get all of my notifications on my watch, take and receive calls, and I constantly get compliments on it.

I upgraded to this watch from the Gear S, which I absolutely loved. After looking at the S3 I decided to purchase this model, even though the price was the same. I chose this S2 because it can be activated with Verizon (although I have not yet activated it); the S3 was not able to activated with Verizon at the time of my purchase. I love this watch! My job requires me to do a fair amount of public speaking, and naturally I cannot gracefully monitor my phone while speaking, yet I occasionally get emails or texts related to either my topic or my audience that are important to the talk. The watch allows me to see emails and messages that come in while not taking out my phone during a talk. This way I can determine which messages need immediate attention and which can wait. I also like the ability to take calls using the watch, like when I'm folding laundry upstairs and my phone is charging downstairs. Then there is the ability to listen to music using a Bluetooth headset while I'm out walking without my phone. This will be even nicer when I activate with Verizon and can handle calls when I leave the phone at home. I don't like carrying a purse, so it will be great to not worry about having my phone fall out of my pocket (I have a large phone). Wish I could have gotten the S3, but I have no real complaints about this one. Battery life has been good, just wish it was more consistent when logging my steps.

The Gear 2 takes awhile to learn and navigate on using all the features, but once you use everything and practice all the controls, it is a watch you want to wear everyday. I have the call transfer subscription so that I leave my phone at home and receive calls. I can answer them and make calls. The speaker sound is excellent. I tried wireless earbuds but didn't get anywhere near the sound quality directly from the watch. It could be that I need higher quality earbuds. In any case, the Gear 2 watch is a great product and fun to wear.

Great Watch - No elevation from some reason

I had a Fitbit which I loved but wanted more access to me watch such as alerts. This stand alone ability comes to be quite useful in several situations. Forgetting your phone, going for a run/walk when you don't want to carry your phone but still need to be accessible. Battery life isn't great but it gets through the day. It has an altimeter but still doesn't measure elevation throughout the day which I wish it did. Only feature I really lost from the fitbit.

read all reviews, most praised it so I went and bought one, easy to set up and use, lots of customizations to make it yours, has problem keeping remotely connected to phone when cell phone service is limited but Bluetooth helps with that, as long as you turn off Bluetooth when service is ok watch battery will last for the day, constant use of the watch runs the battery down tremendously

While I was in a local store, I was looking into purchasing an Adroid Smart Watch to work with my Apple iPhone. When going by the Verizon stand, they had a Samsung S2 Classic that said it worked with iOS. After doing some extensive research I found that there is a way to connect my iPhone to the Samsung S2 Classic. At that point, I purchased the Watch and was able to connect it to my phone (with a lot of work and frustration). However, once my phone and watch began talking, both have worked well together. While I wish that they would communicate a lot better, I love the look feel and ability the S2 Classic gives me. In my opinion, while it doesn't do everything the Apple Watch does with my phone, it does what I need it to without complaint.

Actually bought this watch over a year ago. It is amazing I love being able to use it to answer calls while I'm driving and now I don't have to dig my pocket for my phone. It is also great in meetings so I can just glance at it to see who's texting. Can use it to text back the old-fashioned way as well, without taking out me cellphone. Battery life still holds up for an entire day even after a year

The watch works great and connects flawlessly to my Galaxy Samsung S7. Very convenient to use for making phone calls when my phone is in my pocket. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the battery life only lasts 1 day. Sometimes the heart monitor is a little picky for detecting a heartbeat.

This is a good watch to own. My only issue is the vibrating function wasn't that good. A lot of times I didn't even know I had a notification. I had to keep the ringer on low which is hard to do when you work in an office setting. I ended up returning the watch for the gear s3.

The Gear S2 has an eye-catching design, a clever rotating bezel that's actually useful, beautiful display, solid health tracking and slightly better battery life than other high-end smartwatches. Plus, it works with a variety of Android phones.

Overall its a great add on to my s6. The fact that I can leave my phone at home and still be able to receive calls anywhere is great. Only problem is that its not water proof, and not compatable with most apps I use. but overall very happy with it.
