This watch works great for what it currently does. It's smooth, it's relatively nice looking (more in the modern tech sense, not so much in the classical watch sense). The price is a little steep for what it does, but not any more than a few other smartwatches out there. I strangely felt that the screen was bit too small for me, but the quality, sharpness and contrast were top notch. The rotary dial navigation is awesome. If you're tied to Samsung's S Health and other services, you'd likely be pretty happy. But as nice as that all is, if you're more tied to Google's services such as Google Now, Maps, etc. it will frustrate you. Coming from a Moto360, I just felt that I was missing too many things. If Samsung and Google can somehow get together and either make the Gear S2 more Google friendly or have Android Wear pick up some of the Gear S2s UI and navigation, we'd have something pretty sweet. So despite giving this watch a 4 star, I'm returning it and going back to my Moto 360. I've grown use the real classical look of the Moto. I think for someone that's getting into the smartwatch thing for the first time, this would make a great device. But if you've used Android Wear and expect many of it's features, you're going to be disappointed.

Battery died fast. I charge it every other day....

The watch fell off my wrist 2 times. Tried using the large band and making sure it was secured. Eventually it disappeared. If I had a choice I would give this item a zero rating.

I did not like this item. It would not send a sound with notification. All it would do is send a very small vibration that you could hardly feel. I returned it with it. A weel.

It's an OK watch but I returned it because I was misinformed by the salesman at best buy about the features. I was told it would track sleep but it didn't so I returned it.

I thought this watch was great, until I tried to make a call, it DOES NOT make calls. I returned it. I am not spending $300 for something thats basically useless to me.

I bought this product to replace an old Gear S2 that I had. I read all the reviews before purchase. And I was told that I will be able to answer the phone with the new watch, but of course it never happened.

I have been looking for some time to purchase my first smartwatch. I settled on the Gear S2 because it was a nice looking and I was able to get a very good deal - $70 off. I will admit I am an Android user so was looking to get an Android Wear smartwatch when I set out, but in the end they were much more expensive. However, now that I have my S2, I will definatly move back to an Android Wear smartwatch with my next upgrade. I should have held off because I imagine a new round will be coming out soon. The smartwatch is limited terribly by apps and the apps it does have lack in quality and usability. The dial feature is fancy and the watch feels and looks very good. Samsung should have gone with Android Wear (though that OS probably won't work with the rotating face dial). In the end, if you can get a good deal like I got $244, you should consider the S2. Otherwise, stick with an Android Wear phone.

This really is a Smart Watch. Seems to work as advertised. It can be a little buggy sometimes though and seems to lack some useful features. The watch face has a high degree of customization options out of the box, and you can purchase additional watch faces from the Samsung App Store. The rotating bezel is great for making sure you are picking the right app or icon on the screen and navigating through the interface. One point to keep in mind is that this is NOT an Android based Smart Watch. It runs on Tizen, which is Samsung's proprietary OS. This means you can't run Android Apps on the watch, you can only run what Samsung offers in their store. App selection for the watch is very limited. This alone is the reason why I won't give the watch 5 stars. This watch is Bluetooth/WiFi only. Out of the box it's configured to store your phone's WiFi settings and networks and then connect to the phone over WiFi (when on the same WiFi network) if the Bluetooth connection fails, but it seems some wireless encryption methods aren't supported by the watch. In my case, I can't remotely connect my watch over WiFi at work because of this. (PEAP specifically)

this smart watch is the next big thing and a great competetor with the apple watch. If you are looking for a smart watch the samsung gear s2 is my choice hands down. this product is a great gift to any one who loves tec or if you love them. the price might seem expensive but every penny whas worth it. Best smart watch ever!!

Samsung did a great job with this watch. There def on a role with thenote edge, s6 edge and now the gear s2. They are reinventing everything and not getting the recognition. anyway the bezel is amazing by far the best feature. im loving the interface with everything round. also i upgraded from the gear 2 and all my apps and watches i purchased from the app store are on my s2 now!! im loving this watch! oh the only thing i dont like is that i cant no longer make phone calls which is a huge dissapointmejt!

I sold my LG G Watch R after buying this past weekend. I like that the band that comes with the watch actually fits a big guy. There are plenty of us in this country, sad as that is. I started to wait for the classic and maybe the Verizon version, but like the way this watch looks vs the classic and did not want to sacrifice battery life with cell connectivity. I am using with a Note 4. I have had no issues at this early date (3 days), battery life is about the same as my LG. One of the selling points that pushed this watch over the edge and the LG out the door ($150 on CL) was the bright sun ability to actually see contents of screen. This is a huge plus considering the LG (highest brightness) sucked in this regard. All features work so far until the first firmware upgrade I'm sure. The remote connection actually works as I have tested it numerous times this past weekend between sports games. My wife, who doesn't wear a watch of any kind, actually is thinking of getting one (white). Another plus which I did not catch in the pre-release reviews is the water rating which as I understand it can be submerged for up to 30 min up to 5' of water or so. Pretty nice! I find it hard to believe but everything seems to be working so far. I do wish my Note 4 and Verizon supported Samsung Pay but oh well. The watch is very intuitive. Like some reviewers, I could not believe that BB was not selling warranty. SquareTrade to the rescue which I use for most of my phones. $34.99 for two years including accidents, $39 deductible. This was for wearable's up to $299. I have never had a problem with SQ on claims. They are a very good company. Bottom line, I think Samsung has hit a HR with this watch. I will update if any issues arise.

I have had this product for 3 weeks and I love it. Battery life is great, my first few days I used it and demonstrated it quite a bit and would still get a good 20 hours out of it. Now with normal use I get through 2 full days. App support is constantly growing and the developers are great. Design is phenomenal. For how limited the OS is, Samsung really makes the best out of it. Tizen really feels more elegant to me than android wear. There are definitely still software kinks to work out, but I am very impressed so far and it comes at a very reasonable price. Can't wait for the 3G Version!

After using it one weekend while bathing my dog the phone stopped working and kept rebooting, found out it's a general issue with the model, I returned it

I love this watch. Its very beautiful and minimalistic. The sleek metal curves give it an understated yet futuristic look. The watch faces are fully customizable and intuitive. The rotating bezel makes it so easy to navigate the watch, and I must say its quite addictive; I find myself rotating the bezel throughout the day, just to feel that satisfying "click." There are tons of cool features and with time and updates we will get many more. Highly recommend.

Watch was cool but just sucked the life out of my phone battery. Always left me looking for a place to charge my phone.

I tried the LG smartwatch, the Asus smartwatch, and two Garmin watches and this Samsung watch is by far the best. I have the Gear S2 sport. I found that Samsung gear app is much easier to use than android wear. I found that Android wear was confusing and hard to operate. I never felt like i understood the app and I felt like i was always searching for what i wanted to do. The Samsung gear app is much more simple. It seems everything that I'm looking for is where i would expect it to be. It paired right up to my LG G4 no problems and connects every time I turn it on. The battery is fairly good. It will easily make an entire day even with heavy use. But to make two days without charging would be a stretch. The only problem i have had is sometimes when I'm walking the watch will vibrate and it says I am riding a bicycle. Its only done it a few times but its not a big deal to me. Overall I really enjoy this watch. Its comfortable on my wrist and I can wear it all day without even noticing. Obviously everyone is different as some may find it uncomfortable. But to me this is the best watch on the market. It is a little more money than some of the other watches but i feel its worth every penny of it.

I watched lots of youtube videos prior to purchase so I knew what I was getting. I bought two. The on surprise was how automatically it connects to WiFi when the link to the phone is broken. It must get the WiFi password from the phone and remembers it after the link is broken. This is key because the watch and phone can continue to communicate as long as they are on the same Wifi Network. Setup was super easy and pairing was effortless. battery life was at 50% after 24 hours. However, this is on the weekend when my email alerts are sparse. I get 100 emails per day on the weekday so we'll see how long this battery lasts then. One comment about alerts. My email alerts weren't coming through for some reason. To solve the problem, I disabled the feature in the Samsung Gear app at Notifications-->Limit notifications. Apparently, this feature, when on, prevents alerts to your watch if your phone is on. It's a reasonable feature since you don't really need alerts to your watch if you're looking at the phone. All other details were as described in youtube videos.

Great for what it's made for. Wish it had a speaker. I get about four and a half days out of one charge if I'm not playing on it. Always using it to find my cell phone.
