I bought this a portable photo drive for my wife. I put it in an enclosure and now she can use it on the desktop for editing or her laptop or even TV for viewing. It is way faster than a spinning disk drive, not that there is anything wrong with them. They last a long time. I wish I had bought two of these cause the amount of photos we take (10 month old) this is filling up fast. Being refurbished made this very affordable and only wish I bought two when they were in stock. I added a photo of the speeds and it suites our needs very well. This is highly recommended if you need capacity with speed.

After decades of spinning drives, decided to give an external Ssd a try. Apple charges $1000 for a 2TB upgrade on flash memory for Mac mini! So I put this drive in a clear sata to usb-c drive case. I believe the boot up is as fast as the internal flash memory in the Mac mini. Abundant storage and It speeds up the time machine backup too. Only concern is reliability. Time will tell, but for now ecstatic. Best Buy’s liberal holiday return policy allowed me to try a couple of different choices.

I use this solely as game storage at the moment and it works great. I have an M.2 as my boot drive so I don't know how well it works for storing any OS on it but if you're looking purely for game storage then this is a great buy. I used CrystalDiskInfo to see power on hours for the drive and there was barely any, practically brand new. It's a luck of the draw with these refurbished drives, but for the most part I think they're low risk, high reward.

Using it as a boot drive couldnt ask for anything better

It was an upgrade for my old hard drive that failed to function. I was glad that I bought it. My computer is now booting faster and running my software with no problems at all.

Got it on sale! Very fast ssd and enough space for lots of games. Now i dont have to delete some of my older games.

The Samsung 860 QVO 2TB SSD is a great product and works great giving me the extended storage space at fast speeds that I need in my MacBook Pro!

I was a little apprehensive about getting a used SSD, not knowing where it came from nor what kind of use it may have been subject to... but the price was just too good not to roll the dice! I would probably not have gotten one this size for at least another year. And lets face it, to have the kind of performance we all want out of our PC's we need to use pretty much all SSD storage and eliminate the old relic 3.5" HDD's. But to do this you need one that's a decent size so your not always having to delete one thing to add another, and 2 TB in my opinion is the lowest size I would go for my main storage. There was no problems with it initially when I added it to a system for it's SATA drive, having a M.2 already for the boot drive. However when I took it out of that PC and went to use it on another build for it's main HD (Boot, OS, Files) it wouldn't allow windows to install on it, giving the error that no partitions could be made, which kind of has me worried.

Know the downsides, but if you're interested in speeding up your computer and/or having it run with only cooling noises, this is a fantastic option.

Despite being a refurb, this has been a fantastic drive. It's the perfect game storage drive for my media/gaming living room PC. No issues, blemishes, anything of the sort. If the packaging was a bit different, I'd assume it was brand new.
