Easy installation, no screws but i guess that varies depending on you motherboard, i used 1 M2X3 screw. SSD is brand new, 100% lifetime remaining and works as advertised.

Samsung is a reliable, well-regarded brand for high-performing solid state drives, with a great 5 year warranty, and even though this SSD 980 is their "budget" offering, it dramatically outperforms budget offerings from other manufacturers, as you can see from the screenshot of the performance I am getting from this 1TB drive. I've had good results with Best Buy refurbs, as well, if the extra few bucks of savings is meaningful to you. Just always install and test quickly, in case you need to take advantage of Best Buy's return window.

This ssd has worked perfectly over the two years i’ve used it. The only down side is i didnt get a larger drive. 1Tb is not enough nowadays for games and it sucks. otherwise great ssd if need the space especially for the price.

Bought a refurbished one and it was in very good condition, my pc is super fast now

Drive works well, only had 18TB written on it previously.

I was skeptical of the refurbished item but it is amazing and backed by the geek squad, I saved a ton and got a terabyte of storage out of it

I got it for a client's computer and it's a nice drive that works as expected. I will be buying more soon.

Fast and Blasting performance, Samsung Magician in not detecting the ssd in windows 11

1TB SSD for very cost effective option. Only PCIe 3.0 so it maxes out around 2500 MB/s PCIe 4.0 I've seen hit around 4000. Still, I don't really know what you'd be doing that would need that much speed but now you know.

Very few power on hours, 100% life on crystal disk mark. Would recommend.

Worth every penny for storage needs. Lightning fast compared to conventional hard drives and significantly faster than normal sata drives. Highly reliable. Holds its resale value consistently.

I bought this to replace a slow mechanical drive that came originally with the laptop. The storage speeds went from 140 MB/s (sequential read) to 3500 MB/s after the swap. This laptop is used for development in Android Studio which has an intensive startup. The Android Studio startup time went from 6 minutes down to less than 30 seconds with this drive. Windows boot time also started at 6 minutes and is now about 6 seconds! I have no concerns that this is a refurbished product. It performs well, it doesn't look like it was abused and it comes at 1/2 the price of a new drive. I'm very happy with it. I'm considering getting a handful of these to replace the 2.5" SSDs that I have for my kids programming systems.

Great high quality brand name NVME Drive. Built a new pc recently and was pleased to see BestBuy had these in stock, as id forgotten to order a boot drive. Installation was a breeze and this drive fit easily In the motherboard slot and accommodated the motherboards heat sync cover without issue

By the title says it's a Samsung Drive can't go wrong with those in my experience and the price on this refurbished model 1 TB for $40 plus Best Buy gave me a $5 birthday credit just made this even better deal when I got the drive I checked and only been powered on twice and had a few hours on it everything was just like brand new I'm using it in an external enclosure and it's been working great

It's basically a 970 EVO Plus without DRAM been using one as my primary boot disk on my workstation for nearly two years without a hiccup. It's a steal with the Geek Squad refurb.

I had a second M2 slot and could always use more HD space! This was perfect for usage as a storage drive. Speed seems decent but I'm not booting my OS off this drive. I'm storing media files and it seems pretty snappy for that task.
