I wouldn't buy it if you're doing large transfers and GB of data. It also isn't readable in all slots obviously problematic if using laptop. There's reviews out there if you search 990 pro nvme not reading. Better options that will save on the wallet. Average 3.5-4k speeds rarely hits about 5k. Waste of time and money for me at this point. The pro health is suppose to make it gen 5 speeds it doesn't. If spending that amount look more at T700 gen 4/5 compatibility faster consistent speeds and better deals costing less. Unfortunate that by time I was able to get it in a drive that works luckily have 2 and get everything goin and tested 15 day mark hit and stuck with it...

Gold standard when it comes to ssd. Also, essentially brand new.

Very fast read and write speeds. Tested to make sure the advertised speed was accurate and it was a hit faster.

The refurbished SSD wasnt working with my system, it kept crashing and not being recognized by my laptop. I returned it after a couple of days and bought the 990 Pro 4tb version new in box and haven't had any issues. Getting around 7800mbps read/write speed. This was the first time a refurbished product let me down.

Works exactly as advertised and was very easy to install.

So far it's been working well, I haven't had any problems using it as an external storage drive. Great price also.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Best Buy. I sent in a prebuilt PC I bought from them to get repaired. Instead of fixing it, they told me to just pick a different one from their website—which would’ve been fine if they had returned everything I originally sent in. I had installed my own 2TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD in that PC—an expensive upgrade I paid for separately. When I followed up about it, they said they wouldn’t be returning it. No reason. Just gone. I reached out to corporate for help, and all they did was tell me to contact the store—which is exactly where I started. I’ve been stuck in a loop with no resolution. It feels like they just don’t care. This whole experience has been frustrating and costly. I expected way better from Best Buy.

I was going to buy the 2TB 990 Pro when there was a good discount on it a few months ago. At that point I noticed I could save a little more with a refurb (and reviews seemed favorable). I receieved what I thought was my 2TB SSD as it was labeled on the box, but after hooking the drive up to my computer (using an external enclosure, thankfully) I discover it's only 1TB! I returned the SSD in store (as recommended) hoping for a simple exchange but all I was offered was a refund or to pay the difference for a new 2TB 990 Pro no longer at the discounted price. I took the refund with the thought I wont be buying a refurb for such a device again, though I'm still waiting for the drive to drop decently in price again.

Best decision I have made. 1tb would have been great but 2was better. Glad I picked refurbished looked brand new.

Bought this samsung 990 pro 2tb to replace the drive that came with my Alienware X14 R2. Was super easy to transfer my data to this new drive and i couldnt be happier. I use the Samsung SSD's in all my computers. As a digital designer it is essential that i have the best drives and you cant gp wrong with these.
