I have only owned this for around two weeks, but so far so good. I have had good experiences with Samsung products.

Arrived quickly. Came with everything, but instructions. It was easy to figure out and setup. It doesn't have a power indicator light, which would be nice. I haven't watched a movie or Netflix with it. I only tested the Netflix connection for a few minutes. Seems like it will get the job done. Hopefully it lasts for awhile, but given the price I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't.

Although this was advertised as Geek Certified Refurbished, it shipped without either the instruction manual nor the batteries. The DVD player itself is in perfect condition, and after a few weeks I notice no problems. The subtraction of one star is I pay extra for the Geek Certified designation, and the company did not live up to the terms of its offer.

Read a lot of reviews that said they got lemons or that after a few months things stopped working particularly w internet access or streaming Netflix. I have not had any issues and I have had for almost two months now everything has worked great! It’s nice to not have to use our older model Roku anymore though I ll keep it on hand just in case. Love that I can play videos from my flash drive as my TV does not have that ability and the convenience of having the USB in front. I was also excited for the upscaling of DVDs but on my 1080 30” HDTV I don’t notice much of a difference which is prob more an indictment of my TV or my lack of a refined visual pallet. Only two slight qualms: the remote is clumsy especially navigating the cursors. But I have on my universal now anyway. And to echo what a lot of posters said it is a bit annoying that w/out a on/off light u can’t tell if it is on or off, which would make it a great bedroom player but since it’s in our living room I just make sure to shut it off first before the tv. Neither one of these things is enough to knock it down even a half star for me though. If it keeps up this reliable performance for a few more years I will be very happy w it.

I purchased this unit knowing that it was a geek squad refurbished. I don't know exactly what that means, but what I do know is that should anything go wrong with the unit I can drop it off at my local BB for servicing. NO, the unit doesn't have and LED light to notify you whether its on or not. Is it annoying? A little. Did it sway me away from this great deal, nope! Great picture and fast load times compensate for the lack of a single LED light. Thanks to Best Buy for making these available at a stellar price!

I had been looking for an inexpensive Blu-ray player to put in our bedroom. Granted this item is refurbished and not new, but to be able to find an Internet compatible name brand unit for under $40 was fantastic! If this item were normal price (over $80) then I'd drop it at least two stars as it would be a very "Meh" purchase for that amount of money. The device came in the original Samsung box with the remote and power cord. I had it hooked up and running within minutes. Others have written about it not really being 3-D compatible. I can't really comment on that because I don't have a 3-D capable TV, but this device works perfect for being able to play Blu-ray/DVD's on our bedroom TV again (the little cheap no-name DVD player we used to have hooked up in there crapped out on us several months ago. One disappointing thing for me was that this device runs on the Opera TV Store for apps. While they had some of the major ones already on the device (YouTube, Netflix, etc..), I couldn't find the MLB app. I use that on my phone and other devices in the house to watch my out-of-market Cubs games via my premium subscription. It's not a huge deal as I can always just use my phone to cast it if need be, just disappointing that a major app like that isn't on there.

The product was easy to set up and I was able to play regular DVD's and Blue Ray immediately. I also like that it has smart capabilities and I can get the apps for movies and tv shows. I am pleased with the product.

The Samsung BD-J5700/ZA is an excellent Blu-ray player. It has streaming Wi-Fi capability and is priced fairly. The Best Buy web site is easy to navigate and the transaction was error free. The delivery of the product was extremely fast.

Don’t bother buying this new or buying a more expensive player - this does the job of playing blurays without fuss. The only con in my mind is the lack of an led to indicate power status - so you can’t really tell if it’s powered on without glancing at your tv.

It offers a variety of entertainment option (wifi, smart TV channels etc.) It would have been better if it has power light indicator: without it, it's hard to tell if it's on or not.

I just wanted a blu-ray player to put on movies for the kids to watch. I didn't realize it had Netflix and YouTube. Now they are able to watch Netflix too. Sometimes it loads a little slow, that's why I didn't give 5 stars, but for the price and everything it has I can't really complain.

I was happy with the price, happy with most of the reviews. I didn't like that no buttons or face plate lit up so I could tell if the unit was on or not until my tv was on. It was easy to set up and great for watching DVD, bluray and Netflix....but right in the middle of the show yesterday it started flashing off and on. It would not stop and I had no control over it with the remote. I un plugged and back in again and the same thing.....had to take it back after just a month and a half of very little use. Went with a Sony this time and a new one, not refurbished.

This is a great product that allows me to continue using my old hardware but have access to online streaming. I love it . I really hate retiring electronics too soon. I guess that makes me too frugal or maybe it shows that I am just conscientious enough to be mindful of unnecessary waste. Who knows! LOL. I am satisfied with the product. Samsung is easy to use and reliable.

Got this unit refurbished from Geek Squad. Shipped free and arrived before estimated arrival date. Unit looks brand new and works as advertised. Easy to hook up with a excellent picture. I think it even makes my regular DVDs show a better picture than before. Still havn't tried out the wireless feature but Bluray and DVD play is excellent.

An adequate BluRay player. It does what I want it to. There is no power indicator light so hard to tell if it's on or off. Also because it is a refurbished unit, it did not come with an owners manual. Worth the money. and takes up little space.

Wifi works good, plays DVD's great and has a great picture.

Item came with someone else's account info on it so I did a factory reset. It runs well generally. I have had it lock up on me a handful of times.

This player is perfect for the kids playroom! In addition to the size, I love that it plays any kind of dvd or cd and blue ray

Nice picture and easy to set up! The only drawback is that there is nothing on the front of the unit to indicate it's on or off.
