    Replaced my HDD with this SSD and never going back. I use it as an external for Native Instruments sound files, and it has no lag like my SSD did. It’s great and no latency in Logic.

    I'm writing about the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished T9 Portable SSD 4TB. I recently purchased two refurbished T9 SSDs from Best Buy. I bought them for BMCC 6K full-frame video recording and connected them to the camera, but neither of them were recognized. The Best Buy staff doesn't know the reason, and they only suggest that it is possible to use it if you buy a genuine product, not a refurbished one, which is not helpful at all. The Best Buy refurbished T9 SSD can only be used for backing up general computer data, so if you have other purposes, I want to let you know not to buy it, so I'm writing about my bad experience here.

    Small, compact, and extremely fast storage. Moving a 14 gig file from my computer to this SSD was less than 20 seconds. For me, especially going from old school external disk drive that I purchased probably about 15 years ago to this solid state drive, is night and day! I should’ve purchased one of these a lot sooner.

    The Geek Squad Certified Refurbished T9 Portable SSD 4TB has worked well so far. I have tried it on a few different computers and it meets my expectations, if not quite as fast as advertised. Certainly no complaints for the size, capacity and price.

    If you are using an external SSD solely with a Mac, do yourself a favor and reformat as APFS. When I first got this I left it as exFAT and it got pretty slow after a lot of files were copied to it. I reformatted as APFS and it has been as speedy as expected.

    The price was right, I bought refurbished, because I knew Best Buy would stand behind it. I had to go deep into Windows settings to get it recognized, but all is well.

    I purchased this and only managed to test it out now. The ssd does not work at all as it cannot be detected by my tablet. I tried to connect to another Samsung T7 ssd using the same cable and it could work so the certified refurbished Samsung T9 that I purchased totally doesn’t work. Can Best Buy advise what could be wrong. Is it the ssd was reformatted such that laptops and tablets can no longer detect it? What can be done to resolve this since it is no longer returnable? Extremely disappointed with this.

    I was suckered by the great price. However I tried it on 3 different pcs and it wouldnt work. I had no problem returning it to my local store and purchased a new model instead
