Very hard to set up and when I got it set up there was a green light that was showing that was not going away had to return it

We had a samsung soundbar that needed replacing . When I read the features of this Samsung A550 I had to get it. I am electronically challenged so I had my son come help me once it arrived.. Well it was so easy to hook up I really didnt need my son to help! My old samsung was not as easy. In addition we usually had the volume up to almost as loud as it would go on the old one. With this A550 we only had the volume to 4 or 5 and we had great sound. Then a soda commercial comes on; one we had seen many times. The sound was amazing! I heard things I didnt know were there! The pop of the can, the sizzle of the carbonation! It was crystal clear! It was like we were right there! We hooked up our phone to the bluetooth! You got to try the Cars! The subwoofer is amazing! Wow does the bass is awesome! We havent yet figured out how to hook this up to Netflix since we have a smart TV. It still comes from the TV speakers even after changing the settings. If anyone knows how to change this, please let me know. I highly recommend this product. Samsung you did yourself proud! I cant wait to watch a movie!

I really like playing music with this sound bar. I tried a few different songs from different genres and they all sounded very good. No matter what area of the living room i stood, the surround sound was clear, equal, and rich. My favorite feature with this sound bar is the Bass Boost. The boost adds smooth knocks to every song i played. Compared to my previous Samsung Soundbar M360, this one is much better. It has a better sleek design and wider subwoofer. The soundbar it self is about 3 inches shorter in length and about1/2 inch wider in width. I expected the remote to be different, not much has changed. Another difference I noticed, is that the LED lights on the A550 doesn't stay on while the device is on and active. Giving it a solid black soundbar through out. The volume on A550 is much louder than M360. Overall very happy with this purchase.

I've always been a fan of Samsung electronics and this sound bar is no exception. I didn't know what I was missing until I installed this product. I love what the subwofer brings to the experience. It really enhances movies and music. It was so easy to connect it to my television and begin using it. Great for enhancing movies, music, or just for watching TV.

Totally changed my home movie experience! The Samsung HW-A550 sound bar and bass brings true sound into our family room. The sound quality and clarity are great no matter what mode you use. Plus it looks very sleek and modern and not bulky. It’s so easy to set up, I just plugged it in and it automatically connects through Bluetooth. Infact that you don't have to fumble with anything or have extra cords hanging is the best.

We have a pretty serious audiophile surround in our great room and I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a basement TV system used by teens. This really fit the bill nicely. Well priced and it sounds fantastic. In fact my wife and I will hear the movies downstairs with the sub rumble just as loud as the one we're watching upstairs. Plus the kids use it for music streaming too and it's just as well equipped to deliver on that front as well.

Very satisfied with this product, for the price it delivers way better sound quality over the tv speakers and the subwoofer definitely kicks in some decent base where needed. I'd purchase this again.

This sound bar is a major bang for its buck! The clarity I get from either watching movies, playing games, or streaming music! I got this unit on sale and it totally blew me away. I am very picky with sound, being that I am an audio engineer. I was thinking this was gonna be a temporary unit until I get a fancy more expensive one. It’s been 2 years and I am sticking to this unit. Still working strong with no issues whatsoever!

For what it is, this is fine. It isn’t powerful enough for even a modest home theater, but it is several steps above the sound from a flat screen tv. Easy set up. Good price. Samsung quality. We are quite satisfied.

Paired this with my new Sony X85J 43" in my office. After realizing I still had the optical cable plugged in and needed to take that out to get the HDMI arc to work, everything was fantastic! Needed to replace my old sound bar as the optical cable would not let me control the volume with the TV remote, but the HDMI ARC setup doed. The bass is very strong on this thing, even setting it at -6, the walls still shake in my room. Will say this is not in a large room, so that may have a bigger impact, but the LG I had prior I could get the bass down to a minimum for watching at night, on this one I will have to switch to TV speakers when people are trying to sleep! Thankfully this dropped to $200 right after I started my search and is well worth that money.

Great alternative if the speakers on your tv are not great like most flat screen tvs are or you just need more. My tv of 7 years.. the speakers were starting to go out, didn't want to buy a new tv due to the picture still being good. Decided to go with this model... reviews were good, it was on sale, and it had a lot of features. So far so good, features and sound is good. i am in certain instances having a hard time hearing dialog because the base maybe too loud or background of the content... i think it just needs an adjustment. the other thing is that this like i guess alot of new electronics you buy now, doesn't include a written instruction as in how to tune or adjust the volume. there are ones online, but i expected and physical paper. so far so good.

If your looking for a sound bar that wont break the bank, sounds really good and can fill a small/medium room this is it. Purchased this for my daughter's birthday and the sound quality is unbelievable for the price. I looked at all the sound bars at Best Buy that were under $300 and I think this one sounded the best with plenty of volume.

The Samsung HW-A550 sound-bar has a great sound when paired with a Samsung TU7000 TV. I connected the sound-bar to the TV using an optical cable. It took some research to find out how to control both the TV and sound-bar from a single remote. More control is available when the sound-bar is connected via an HDMI cable. One recurring issue is that sound-bar loses it pairing with my iPhone and I must re-pair my phone with the sound-bar every time I wish to connect my phone to the sound-bar just to play music.

Pretty good sound....but sometimes Samsung smart TV not so smart ...I have to reload the soundbar from time to time, also Samsung has a problem with a flashing mute icon which locks the volume on the remote which means going into settings to correct the problem. But dollar for dollar I felt it was a pretty good purchase that's why I give 5 stars.

I love it. The sound bar and wireless sub were very easy to setup. I have it connected to our Samsung 55” TV and the sound is awesome. Definitely some good punch from the sub. The only thing I’ll call out is that the only way I could get the TV remote to control the volume was when I used an HDMI cord to connect (vs the optical cord that was provided). Not really an issue, I just didn’t want another remote in the mix.

Really solid soundbar and wireless sub for the price. I bought this to replace an aging Sony soundbar with wireless sub due to the sub being finnicky, the bluetooth getting out of sync, and most importantly- the soundbar treble was cracking and looks like the speakers were blown. For the price, this soundbar works great. I use it via bluetooth with a Samsung TV and it works very well. It's sleek and provides great sound.
