Great sound. Easy set up with deep bass. Great sound system for thr money.

The bose system I purchased for my husband 10 years ok was not working properly anymore. I went on the search for a replacement, this would be a great Christmas gift. Tried Bose to expensive. Found the Samsung sound bar and he loves it. It came with the woofer. Now my floors shake. Sound quality great. Easy to install. Worth every penny.

It was honestly a little difficult setting it up with my TV when I first bought it. Connecting it through Bluetooth was not possible so I ended up using the cable that it came with (not the HDMI). It does not include the HMDI cable so if you are connecting it with that, you will need to purchase it separately. Once you connect it, the sound is pretty loud. The bass (subwoofer) isn’t as loud as I’d like for it to be, it goes only up to level 6. The bass sound will only be emphasized with specific movies/shows that have the background deep bass sounds. Otherwise you won’t be able to clearly hear it. For the sound at to be in the living room to watch movies and stuff, it works just fine. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive so it’s in between for what it is worth. You won’t get the full surround system home theater experience if that is what you’re looking for, but it does suffice for your daily viewing. I like how it isn’t as thick and can be hidden under the tv if you have your tv mounted or if it’s standing up, it doesn’t take much space

Love the sound and quality. I used the chord it came with to connect it to the back of the TV. When using the chord I cannot use my TV remote to control the volume on this. If I use an HDMI or Bluetooth I can use the TV remote. Wish there was a way to use one remote using the chord it came with.

Got this for my parents for Christmas. I must say, they love it, the sound quality is great very clear. The subwoofer surprised me with the bass it puts out. Great sound bar. Price is not bad for the quality of the sound it provides. It’s very easy to set up. Included wall mount is good.

Just purchased the sound bar and had it in full action the same evening. Love the sound quality with the woofer added I fill the room with sound. My only disappointment that the sound controls don't integrate with the TV controls. I will keep trying, could be user error.

Great sound bar for the price (on sale $100 off). Bought this for a second small TV room and we're happy with the quality, after fine tuning some settings to my preference. The Dolby Digital/DTS Virtual setting made a noticeable difference and the sub, although small and unassuming, provides enough lows to be relevant while watching movies. This sub does have "Bass Boost" and you can increase the sub volume independently. Samsung provides an optic cable to connect, however we used the TV's bluetooth to easily connect wirelessly. Plug in the power and enjoy. The sound bar came with wall mount hardware. The mounts are easy to install and look ok once mounted on the wall. The remote is the Samsung simple remote, looking just like the TV type and easy to use/navagate.

I am a audio freak and I just decided to grab this out of curiousity just to put downstairs in my living room and I'm blown away by its performance. Very easy to take out of the box and setup. It wont take more than 10-15 minutes max. However the subwoofer is what really surprised me. If it is well placed you can get rich deep bass to compliment the sound bar. Only thing that sucked about installation was the darn battery cover for the remote. Samsung had me pulling hair I didn't have. I eventually figured it out but other than that if you are on fence about getting it I say do it. You won't regret it!

I bought this based on reviews and budget. Paid $179.00, $100 off. Good soundbar but weak subwoofer so I tried for a few days but not happy I was gonna replace with either sony or vizio because bass was way better in store but wanted to stay with samsung, do to having a samsung DVD surround sound that lasted for years but bass was way better, so I decided to go back and get the rear speakers which it much needed. So the HW-A550 soundbar with SWA-9100S rear speakers is a good match with ok bass. Definitely needs a more powerful subwoofer, my old samsung DVD surround shook the walls and I will miss that. Im going to try this for a couple of weeks to see if I get use to it.

Great soundbar for the price. I didn't want to buy a sound system, but the new tv I bought needed it. While thinner tv's sacrifice the speakers, it feels manufacturers have found a way to do value added item, as my previous samsung tv's sound was just fine. For the price the A550 is really good. DTS, adaptive and surround sound feel immersive. The only quality down side is when there load action sequences followed by dialog, have to change the volume to hear them in anything but standard mode. Initially for a about a week didn't hook up the woofer as this is for a spare room set up, and it sounded good as is. Once the wireless woofer was set up, it sounded even better. Loaded up Top Gun to test run, and it made a big difference. Did have to try a couple times for the two to sync together, but never an issue since. One issue that does happen, infrequently, is if happen to select use tv speakers instead, the soundbar sometimes won't reconnect, and will have to turn everyone off/on again. It's happened only a few times, when accidentally push the button on the remote. On a side issue, related to the tv itself, mounted the soundbar to the tv. The given universal brackets only mount in specific spot underneath the casing. Plus the large holes in the brackets means using included plastic washer like wheels screwed into the wall, from which the brackets hang off from, not secured to them, which in earthquake prone California feels could fall off. This can be an issue when on where on a wall it is being placed, or a mount needing screws on the back, not underneath. I had to buy a specific type of mount, and even then good thing I have a large selection of screws and washers to make everything fit right. Given the tv and soundbar are both Samsung, would think they would play nicer together. I also really like the buy online and pick up at the store option. Bestbuy has historically made the inside cashier process a chore. Pulled up, and as I was making room in the car, employee brought up my purchase.

This is my first soundbar and once again I ask myself... why didn't I buy one of these sooner? I bought me a nice 8K Samsung TV a few months ago and was fine with the on-board speakers. Well, I had a bunch of Best Buy rewards points that were going to expire and didn't know what else to blow them on, so I went with this. I chose the Samsung brand to match the TV and I'm glad I did. This bar paired right up with the TV and took over as the master speakers, so using the volume buttons the TV remote works the soundbar too. The sound is amazing and fills the room. The subwoofer connects wirelessly to the bar, so only needs an electrical connection to work. I'll take this over a larger system with speaker wires any day. Highly recommend!

Addition to my LG TV. I connected it with the included digital audio cable. Much better sound and voices are more clear. I like the wireless base that I can hide behind the couch. Good sound bar for under $200.

So far so good one month in. Not a lot of overall confidence in electronic equipment after two years of use...we will see. But setup was easy and sound is good. Hope planned obsolescence does not kick in within two years

Got this on a great sale yesterday and wow what a great value the bass is rich and the clarity is on point would have been a good purchase at $280 but got it for $180 which made this a great purchase.

Ooohhhh boy does this make the sounds! All of em. Makes the deep wub wind and if you’re not careful and hit a static channel you’ll wake your neighbors! 10/10 would recommend. The Bluetooth is pretty sweet to, makes setup super easy, no extra cables between the subwoofer and the speaker bar (Power cable for subwoofer NOT wireless)

Sound quality exceeded my exceptions! The range from the Highs to the Lows is great with out being overwhelming (especially the bass end not taking over constantly).
