By design, the purpose of the subwoofer is to reproduces low frequency sounds and not musical tones. It adds rich tones and deepens sound effects, like the rumbles of an explosion or the depth in bass guitars and drums.
There are three adjustments that can be made for bass and subwoofer: 1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
3) Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select BASS BOOST mode. This will provide you with a larger emphasis on bass sound.

Very good sound easy to use and setup it can get very loud with a lot of bass but the sound it still clear so if you stay in a apartment be mindful of your neighbors because you may get a knock on the door asking you to turn it down

Hi!
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung A550 soundbar and sharing your experience regarding the setup, and difficulties getting the subwoofer to pair.
If autoconnection fails during setup, you can manually connect the subwoofer.
Before performing the manual connection procedure below: • Check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly. • Make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.
1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. • The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. 2. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. • The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. • The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. 3. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.
Please note: • Do not connect the power cord of this product or your TV to a wall outlet until all connections between components are complete. • Before moving or installing this product, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power cord. • If the main unit is powered off, the wireless subwoofer will go into stand-by mode and the STANDBY LED on the rear of the sub-woofer will turn red after blinking in blue several times. • If you use a device that uses the same frequency (5.8GHz) as the Soundbar near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption. • The maximum transmission distance of the main unit’s wireless signal is about 32.8 ft but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all because the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal. • Wireless receiving antennas are built into the wireless subwoofer. Keep the unit away from water and moisture. • For optimal listening performance, make sure that the area around the wireless subwoofer and the Wireless Receiver Module (sold separately) is clear of any obstructions.

Very good quality and easy to set up. Sound quality is excellent. However the soundbar shuts off every 6 minutes for 1 minute, then turns back on. I have been back and forth with Samsung support for several weeks and no solution. I am using it with a Samsung TV but for some reason it's just not compatible. If it doesn't work the value and quality reviews have to be low. I can change them if Samsung sends a firmware update that solves the problem.

Very disappointed. Owned for less than a year and now it’s having connection issues. It unsynchronizes the audio and then goes mute. The only way to fix both issues is to completely disconnect everything and plug it in again. Definitely returning because I don’t feel like doing this a few times a day. Too bad because it actually sounded amazing up until this point.

So far unit works good with my Samsung TV. I did not like the 24V power supply on the unit due to the fact that the wiring could create a problem if you had to draw the line somewhere in order to hide it.

just purchased this Samsung soundbar. Works great with my Firestick. Blue tooth easy connection also works with an HDMI cable.
