Watching action movies is a totally new experience at home now...LOVE IT! Wireless set up was very easy with my Samsung Flat Screen TV

Nightmare purchase

I purchased an open box online that was supposed to be in perfect condition. I got a speaker with the sound bar and remote control missing. I complained on the same day it arrived!I have been trying to return with no luck. I went in person to the SF store and they refused to take it. This is a nightmare. I really don't want to get stuck with this. I will never buy an open box again. Bestbuy please do the right thing. It has been 3 weeks.

Tried 2 different ways- hdmi arc and optical- both were a let down. The subwoofer is a joke. Im shocked because ove never had issuesbwith Samsung products.

I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the initial performance of the HW-A550 soundbar out of the box. For the best experience, we recommend using HDMI ARC or the included digital optical audio cable. From there, you can use the wide range of built in settings to further tune the sound to your liking.
You can try quickly adjusting audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, or DTS VIRTUAL:X.
You can also press the Sound Control button on the remote (looks like a gear) to adjust TREBLE and BASS. Press and hold the Sound Control button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each of seven frequency bands. (Set sound mode to standard)
Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.
