Out of the box all you need to get started is the sub woofer and the sound bar. Each has its own power cord. If you are using bluetooth then that is all you need. The sound quality is amazing. The remote is small and in line with every other samsung remote I have, nothing to write home about. The only con is that the eq adjustments are pretty limited on the device itself. You should be able to adjust all of that in depth through your tv though

This soundbar works exactly as intended. I love that it connects with my Samsung tv wirelessly and I can use a tv remote and the soundbar would turn on simultaneously. The quality of sound is great, you can definitely see a huge improvement from the standard tv speakers. I Had it for a month and it’s the best purchase ever. I had a different soundbar before ( Bose with built in subwoofer) and had to sell it because it was just bad. The sound was bad and I had to use a second remote and connect that thing to tv every time. This soundbar automatically connects and works great every time. If you have a Samsung tv this is a must. Also, my tv is 55” and the soundbar fits perfectly in front of it right between the tv supports and it doesn’t block the screen. More expensive models were longer and would have not worked out for me.

This was my first sound bar and for the price this thing is amazing. Good deep bass if you like that sound in your movies. The bar it’s self has fantastic sounds good at throwing and making a good surround sound feel combined with the subwoofer. I really like theirs a night time mode so when your trying to go to bed and don’t need all the sounds. Was so good bought a second one for the living room

I love my sound bar and subwoofer. The soundbar itself cranks out really clear sound. The remote function is great as well- very responsive. You have two options to toggle the mute function as well by obviously pressing the mute button or clicking the volume button. When I connect my phone to the sound bar via bluetooth I can control the volume from my phone as well. The subwoofer CRANKS so be mindful of that if you live in an apartment or condo. This sound system is also good for parties because the volume gets loud and mixes well. Watching movies is nice too because you can hear/feel the base and mid range audio clearly.

The soundbar is exactly what you need for your tv, aux and blue tooth needs. The sound is great with treble, bass and sub controls, including different sound modes. Great for a decent sized bedroom and sounds even better in a larger living room. The surround sound comes at you from all angles with the base from the sub coming through with the sounds you can feel, literally. Great Purchase!!

Great soundbar. We had great help picking out this soundbar. Very happy with it. We had family like it so much they also bought one. Only downfall is that I have yet to figure out how to have only one remote for my tv. I have to turn my tv on with my firestick remote and then also use this soundbar remote to turn on the soundbar. Would love a response from Best Buy or Samsung on how to prevent this.

I love these speakers it adds to your movie experience by 10-fold it makes you feel immersed into the show and movie. The Sub you can feel in your chest watching a movie on these are amazing i will never go back.

For a small setup like this, it's very good. I use it for a video game room, and it has more than enough power. It's really crisp and clear. It was pretty easy to set up, but I suggest listening to the Best Buy staff for tips. Really, that helped. The price is good, so I have no complaints. I'm a Samsung user 100% now.

This is probably the most I’ve been impressed by an inexpensive sound system. The dialogue clarity is awesome and the way it fills my living room with sound is amazing! Good job Samsung! Also very easy to operate,

I purchased this model after having owned a previous Samsung soundbar. I was very pleased with the ease of setup, and the sound quality. It just goes to show, you don’t have to spend top dollar, to get quality results.

I purchased the Samsung B550D 3.1 Soundbar and subwoofer through a Best Buy Black Friday sale in July. My previous soundbox for the master bedroom had stopped working and I needed a replacement. After researching the various soundbars/subs available that would fit my existing tv stand, this Samsung combo seemed perfect for my needs. The Best Buy plus membership offered additional discounts and made this an excellent purchase price. The sound quality is very good, with adjustments for treble and bass for the Soundbar and bass levels for the subwoofer. This set-up allows clear dialogue and sufficient bass quality for night viewing of sports and streaming apps. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend the Samsung B550D 3.1 system for your needs. I've owned this product for 6 weeks at this review.

I particularly like that it has a speaker designed to provide greater clarity of the dialog. There are six sound modes to select. There is a small panel that light up when you make a sound mode selection and volume changes. The overall sounds are very good. Drawback: Does not come with detailed instructions (available online).
