Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)

Press the CH LEVEL button so you can adjust the volume of each speaker. CENTER LEVEL or TOP LEVEL can be adjusted using the UP/DOWN buttons from -6 to +6.

With the optional SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit connected you can adjust the volume by using the provided Soundbar remote. Press CH LEVEL and select REAR LEVEL, then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I have an older Samsung TV and couldn't get anything with atmos or truehd to play. My tv kept giving me an audio not supoprted error. I was told the sound bar would bypass that but it doesn't. This isn't really a fair review because I never got to use the bar, but I'm not going to spend another 500 or 600 dollars or more for a new tv that will work with this. So I guess it will be going back to the store. My tv is a 2016 samsung, but only has the arc input and not the earc I need. SO the description is a bit misleading when it says to hook up to an arc port..

      Headhunter,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q600C Soundbar.

Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will give you the best audio because HDMI cables transmit sound digitally. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.
      1. Turn off the TV, soundbar, and external device. Then, connect one end of an HDMI cable to an HDMI port on your TV (make a note of which one).
      2. Connect the other end to the HDMI OUT port on your soundbar.
      3. Connect a second HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on your external device. Connect the other end the HDMI IN port on your soundbar.
      4. Turn on the external device and the soundbar. Press the Source button on the soundbar until "HDMI" appears on the display.
      5. Turn the TV on and change its source to the HDMI port where the soundbar is connected.
      6. Your TV will display images from the external device, and audio will play from the soundbar.

Disliked. Professional hookup but they controlled the TV and kept turning it and the speakers back on when I turned off!!! The only way it would stay off is unplug the Roku box.

      MarquitaJ,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the HW-Q600C Soundbar.

If your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable or HDMI via ARC, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.

      1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
      2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.

Other manufacturer’s remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.
