You can try manually optimizing your audio experience by pressing the SOUND MODE button to select the desired pre-equalized sound setting. The choices are SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE SOUND – DTS VIRTUAL:X – STANDARD.
– To control the volume of the treble or bass press the TONE CONTROL button, and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons on your soundbar remote.
– Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)

Thank you for sharing your review regarding the HW-Q60B Soundbar. I am sorry for any confusion regarding the use of your soundbar!
To assist you in the functions and settings of your new soundbar, you can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q60B under Q Series. You are able to save the manual in pdf format or print it off for easy access.
You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND MODE button to select the desired pre-equalized sound setting. The choices are SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE SOUND – DTS VIRTUAL:X – STANDARD.

If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, select AUDIO SYNC in Sound Control, and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.
With the Surround Speakers connected, select REAR LEVEL and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

If your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable or HDMI via ARC, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
Other manufacturer’s remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

Samsung and Best Buy work well together

Upon looking up on internet a few people had the same problem where once you turn it off it stays off. You had to unplug it to reset it every time Which is extremely frustrating! I returned it to Best Buy and they exchanged it with no problem! After setting it up with my Samsung tv I can say I am not disappointed! It has this really cool feature that links your tv speakers with the bar so you have surround sound. Very crisp sound ! I would recommend this sound bar

BEST BUY sent it off and a week later they said not repairable. They sent me to the geek squad to find out they gave me a $160 store credit and you can't even touch that model for around $400 now. I bought this in April 2023 and should have taken it back the day it was delivered. And now they replaced it with a Samsung but definitely a lesser quality than the q series.HW-B650 is the replacement and it sucks too. Sound level at 75 and to me i should be hearing it outside and it's only normal sound level.

Had a little trouble installing. We found we first need to turn on the sound bar, and then the tv. Works well with our Samsung tv.

Best buy products & "protection plans" are a joke.

I even got the best buy warranty which I advise DO NOT GET cause even after the second time sending it back, they claim all the sudden there is a foreign liquid substance inside and that immediately voids the warranty. Pretty sure they couldn't fix it and that is their way of getting out of having to replace it. If there was a substance, it could have gotten inside from anywhere through transportation. Best buy sucks!
