    TV pictures are clear and nice color on the 55” screen. Howeve, the remote control is small and fragile.

    The sales agent was totally unhelpful when I purchased 4 items altogether. Over $400 he said was the cost for geek squad to help set up yhe tv purchase.

    Dont waste your money on this...

    The q symphony feature did not work. I could only get sound from the bar or tv. I tried hdmi, bluetooth and wifi, but nothing worked. Lastly I tried optic cable and it worked for about 10 seconds then cut out leaving only the soundbar working. I called Samsung for help, but that was a waste of time for they were NO help at all. The soundbar wasn't that loud either so Im just going to return it.

    Love Samsung, but not this soundbar

    I paired this Samsung HW-S60D 5.0 channel sound bar with my older Samsung tv (from 2011). To be honest, the speakers built into the tv are better than average. I was hoping to get more depth to the audio while having another bluetooth speaker to play music through. This soundbar turned out to be inferior to both the internal tv speakers and to my Klipsch bluetooth speaker. Sound was flat and underwhelming.

      There are several ways you can connect the soundbar to your TV, so you can customize your movie watching experience. Although they all have their benefits, certain setups provide better sound quality than others.

      Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will give you the best audio because HDMI cables transmit sound digitally. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.

      To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.

      To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD.       When experiencing issues with Bluetooth connectivity, there are a few things you may want to check:

      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves should be kept away from the Soundbar main unit - e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.
      3) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-S60D on the Samsung website.

    Terrible terrible shipping by Best Buy

    This review does not have anything to do with the item. I never got a chance to test the item. I received an open box item from Best Buy. In the past I have bought open box things before from them without a problem. That changed today, the package came and was left on my doorstep I left work early to get the box cuz I didn't want anybody to steal it. When I opened it at my amazement. This sound bar was sitting in a box that was at least 10 times bigger than the sound bar. The real big surprise was it wasn't in the its original box which would have been okay if they put it as something else but it was not wrapped either in any bubble wrap. You can tell it had been thrown around by the UPS driver because they don't really understand what contents are in there whether they're electronics or not. It was just sitting in his box It was amazing to see how they could ship something so fragile like that. Also it did not have everything that was supposed to come with it, no HDMI cable, no remote all the way it was an open box in excellent condition as it stated on the site It should still come with those items or an alternate item that is equal to it. I receive none of them I'm very disappointed in Best Buy don't think I would be shopping with them again This is the second time I've had an issue the last time is with a TV that I purchased. Best Buy if you want to keep your customers you're going to have to do a better job than this

    If sound quality is not important get this. There is no bass at all. I have a 12 year old analog Vizio soundbar that puts this to shame! Sadly it does not work with a new smart TV.

      Please know that the Auto Power Down Function will automatically turn off the unit in D.IN/ HDMI / Wi-Fi / and BT mode if there is no audio signal for 18 minutes.

      Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
