    Honestly sounds like crap, some sales person recommended this sound bar but I think a Sonos soundbar is 10x better.

      To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.

      To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD. When you press the SOUND MODE button it will change to the different modes in the above order.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.

      If you are looking for additional bass, beyond what the HW-S60D can provide, consider adding the compatible SWA-W510 Wireless Subwoofer from Samsung to take your audio experience to the next level.

    Stoped working after 9 months.

    Suddenly broke after 9 month with no warning just like any other Samsung product. Light will SOMETIMES turn on when you press the power button but volume buttons won’t do anything and can’t switch Sources to match the TV. Now a useless brick

    Extremely frustrated, stay away!

    We got a new TV and also purchased this sound bar (At the recommendation of the sales person). After 1 week, it doesn't matter what we do, it will NOT keep the words synced with the sound. We are so frustrated. I would not even recommend this to an enemy!

      We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-S60D Soundbar.

      If the video on the TV and audio from the soundbar are not synchronized, press the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote, until you see AUDIO SYNC on the display. You can then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Additionally, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. You can update the firmware Version of your soundbar by using the SmartThings App or a USB device or with the SmartThings app. If available, you may also want to update the firmware Version of your TV which may feature audio delay improvements.

      If you continue to experience audio delay, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included HDMI cable, to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the audio delay entirely and improves the user experience.

      You can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device.

    out if the box it seemed like from center right area had a plastic rattle to it. Sure enough 30 days later it sounds horrible and rattly and dialogue sounds like it has tremendous feedback to it.

      You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.

      In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.

      You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The light indicator on the front of the soundbar will blink 4 times and the soundbar will be reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.

      Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.

      Thank you for taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-S60D Soundbar.

      1) Check whether the HDMI cable is correctly connected to the ARC terminal.

      2) Connection may not be possible due to the connected external device (set-top box, game machine, etc.). Directly connect the Soundbar.

      3) HDMI-CEC may not be activated on the TV. Turn on the CEC on the TV menu. (Samsung TV: Home > Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) ON)

      If available, we recommend using the HDMI connection to your TV.

      Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will provide the best audio and user experience, often eliminating any connection or delay issues you may be experiencing. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.

      If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, select SYNC in SOUND CONTROL (looks like a gear), and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.

    Product only worked for about 5 minutes. Returned and best buy didn't offer any alternative purchase. Very disappointed with best buy for not helping out finding another product

      Thank you for your review of the Samsung HW-S60D Soundbar and for sharing the issues that have caused you to return your unit. Your experience is very important to us and will be shared with our product team.

      It is possible that your unit needed minor troubleshooting, a firmware update, or adjustments in settings.

      First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

      Next, update the firmware on your soundbar. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to download the SmartThings app and connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to not only download any firmware updates but also control your entire soundbar on the screen of your smart device.

      Please also verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

      If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The LED display changes as follows: White moves from left to right and right to left, and the middle LED blinks Cyan 3 times. Then the middle LED will blink RED and turn off.

    HDMI ARC ISSUE

    Ok, so I originally loved this soundbar, and thought i left an unfavorable review. I looked to correct, but didnt see it. In any event when I originally purchased this in sale after last Christmas, I was so impressed! Great bass, great all around sound, and the unit seemed to throw sound all over the room! Then something happened and it sounded tinny, no bass, 4 times the amount of treble anyone would want. To be clear, im not a wizard with electronics, however im not a total moron either lol. The sound was so bad that the speakers on the lg sounded better and i was planning on returning to BB to see if there were blown drivers or something. Then i decided to check my cables. They never go bad or are defective out of the package, right? Well to finish this review, i switched over to an optical cable from the HDMI ARC and suddenly the room was filled with awesome sound. I actually had bass again! I had to adjust the treble up! So the moral of the story, if you read reviews that mention way too much treble and no bass, its either a cable issue or the tv HDMI ARC port is defective. I guess there are also units that ARC port can be defective or something else internal. But the sound is there, it just needs to get to the soundbar in a proper way. The only downside until i get a new HDMI ARC cable to actually see if its the cable or something else is i have to use both remotes as i cannot adjust the volume with the lg remote. I now recomment this soundbar again. I also would suggest you download the full directions off the internet to figure out the remote as the single page that comes in the box is lacking.     Bought this one to replace the HORRIBLE 2 channel Samsung speaker. This one sounds much better. Much more clear. I got for open box price $100. Not sure it’s worth it’s retail price of 350 tho.
