Everything was packed in it's plastic as a new item would be. Saved me quite a bit of $ buying it this way. Item does have a wall mount bracket for the soundbar which is a nice bonus. You can always splurge and buy a better mount for the soundbar if you choose. I went from a 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer using a Sony DH590 receiver and this unit saves me space and almost as loud or louder than my old setup.
