    This soundbar is sleek and nice looking. The sound is not great at all. Sounds like echo. Needs more mid than tweeter. They should add bass enhancement like the Q series, cant really hear the bass from the dual sub. Maybe add a port and eliminate one sub. Even for a black Friday deal, its way overpriced. Will be returning. (Firmware updated, no difference) Do not recommend this product!

    Bought this as a matching soundbar to my TV, a few times it does not seem to come on with the TV so far, but shutting down the TV and then turning it back on resolves it.

    The sound is pretty good considering the size. The HUGE problem is this is hardwired to a Samsung OLED TV. The lip sync is RIDICULOUSLY BAD! Next step is contacting Samsung support since using this combination is like watching a poorly dubbed foreign language movie.

      Thank you for purchasing the HW-S801B Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are experiencing this issue.

      Your new Samsung TV has a feature called Audio Pass-Through. You can utilize this feature to correct your audio-sync issue.

      On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through.

      Using your provided Soundbar remote you can also try to correct any audio delay. By pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear) until you hear the voice guide say SYNC. Then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.

    Great looks, but unfortunately I received one that had something wrong and the Geek Squad tried to install it and had send it back. I will probably be ordering another one.

    Finally a soundbar that is sleek, minimal and not just in black. I'd been looking at other sound bars but they were too big and bulky. This one works great and looks good, too.

    This sound bar is great!! We use adaptive sound for our room and it works great. The Bluetooth connectivity sometimes goes in/out, but nothing major.

      There are a few things you may want to check regarding the occasional Bluetooth connectivity issue:

      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves should be kept away from the Soundbar main unit - e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.
      3) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-S800B soundbar on the Samsung website.

    This started out to be a really nice sounding unit that showed a lot of promise but like other Samsung sound bars I’ve used, it turned out to be junk. I could never get the Arc input to work with my new Samsung QLED TV and the WiFi connection would work for a while but I’d eventually have to reset it every time I used it for it to work. I love Samsung TVs, I’ve got 4 of them, but I’ll never buy another one of their sound bars. Get a Bose or Sonos, they’re so much easier to use and actually work.

    It's nice that it's in such a slim form factor, but the sound quality on it isn't great. It's about the same quality as my TV's built-in speakers, but facing forward.

      To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.

      To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD. When you press the SOUND MODE button it will change to the different modes in the above order.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.
