Its perfect for sucking out pet hair from carpets. That’s all I literally bought it for. Haven’t bothered using it on hardwood floor. I got Dysons for other floors.

Our last one broke, we had it for a solid 3 years using it on multiple days on multiple jobs. It took a beating and stood strong versus our corded vacuum. Hopefully this lasts as long or longer.

This vacuum works great for our couches and hard surface floors. We liked it enough to buy a second 1 for our upstairs so we would have it handy.

We have a Husky and unfortunately this is not the vacuum we need for all the hair she releases. Suction not strong enough and her hair get caught in the wheels and prevents them from turning properly.

Head of the vacuum snapped completely off making it useless after less than 3 years.

The Samsung Jet 60 Series is Samsung’s entry level stick vacuum. For an entry level model, it shares the same 5-Layer Filtration system and 0.8L dust bin capacity found in their higher end models, it attaches the same crevice and combo tool, and it even has a detachable rechargeable battery. The similarities end here, with the Jet 60 providing up to 40 minutes of runtime between charges with a smaller battery, paired with a 150W suction motor. That being said, we find ourselves using this much more often than what we currently have at home because of one subtle but huge difference: it’s super lightweight. Weighing in at a tad over 5 pounds, using the Jet 60 is one of the most effortless vacuums to use around the home. Moreover, the Slim Turbo Action Brush is an all-purpose motorized lightweight head attachment that can transition from hard floor to carpet and back without the need to swap out heads. My current vacuum has both the soft roller brush head and the carpet brush head, but I do have to swap them out when appropriate; the Slim Turbo Action Brush is both of those things, and it works great overall. And yes, it is very slim enough to get under couches and hard to reach places. The Jet 60 Pet variant comes with the Mini Motorized Tool to help remove fine dust and pet hair on furniture, typically where I find my cats hanging out. It has little issues clumping and removing my cat’s dander as there is lint remover material alongside the roller brush to further help the removal of unwanted dander stuck onto furniture. The Jet 60 is not bright and fancy; it doesn’t tell you what speed setting you’re on, it doesn’t tell you how much runtime you have left…it doesn’t tell you anything, to be honest. The only indicator you have is the 3 blue led lights on the battery itself that tell you how much battery life is left. And quite frankly, that's okay. After using the vacuum for some time, you'll know how much runtime you'll have to clean your entire home relative to what power level you use. Charging the Jet 60 requires that you wall mount its base to your wall, high enough for the wand to clear the floor. I for one am not a big fan of wall mounting my vacuum to the wall, so for now I remove the battery from the main unit and attach the charge base. If you’re not a wall mount vacuum kind of person, then this vacuum is probably not for you. The Jet 60 is one of the louder stick vacs that I own at home, especially at max settings. It’s not obnoxiously loud, but it has that higher whistling sound overall. My home is mostly hard floors accented with low pile area rugs, and this vacuum really has no problems cleaning these areas daily. But with those folks with high pile rugs, I can see this vacuum not performing well as you probably need stronger suction. The Jet 60 does have a max suction setting, but you’re not going to break 10 minutes of runtime at this setting. I would think any stick vacuum would underperform more often than not in these situations and a plug-in vacuum would be best. So if you’re like me and have a similar home setup, then I recommend you give the Jet 60 Pet a try.

The vacuum came well packaged and was easy to assemble. As with most cordless vacuums there are 3 pieces that make up the vacuum. The brush head, pipe and motor head. The manual that comes with the vacuum is pretty much picture oriented and does not give much in the way of written assembly details but if you have used a cordless vac in the past, it should be easy to follow. I will say this is an attractive vacuum in the Rose Gold color. There are several attachments that come with the vacuum including a dusting brush, crevice tool and with this Pet version a small motorized cleaning head which is great for stairs. The standard power head uses bristle style brushes and the small motorized head uses rubber brushes. Performance wise the vacuum performs fairly well on carpet and hard services. The handle has a power button as well as 2 buttons to adjust the suction of the vacuum. There are 3 levels of suction that you can chose. The battery has indicator lights that let you know how much battery life is left. Samsung claims 40 minutes of run time however this is only achieved if using the vacuum at its lowest suction level and without a motorized attachment. Since most people will use this to vacuum carpet and floors the run time is significantly less. I would say at most 15 minutes. It takes around 3.5 hours to charge the battery. This makes the vacuum good for small quick cleanups or a very small cleaning area. In order to charge the battery, it has to be inserted in the wall mount that comes with the unit. There is no charging port on the battery itself and this is cumbersome if you do not intend to mount the charging station and hang the vacuum. It would be much better if you could charge the battery by itself. The vacuum is lightweight and well balanced however the main brush head only has very small wheels on the front of the head and no wheels in the back so it makes it harder to maneuver than most other cordless vacuums. The dust bin is large and has a number of filters that can be cleaned and washed. The one thing I do not like about the dust bin is that you have to remove it from the motor assembly and unscrew the top of it in order to empty it and replacing it is a bit difficult until you get used to it. The instructions do not explain this process well at all. One thing I wished this vacuum had were LED lights on the power brush. Most vacuums in this price range offer them and I find them very useful. Although the vacuum seems to perform well enough the limited run time and lack of some features keeps me from recommending this vacuum at this price point as I feel there are better options out there that provide better performance and ease of use for the money.
