Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Jet Bot+ Robot Vacuum's excellent battery life, powerful suction, and effective cleaning capabilities across various floor types. Many appreciate its advanced LIDAR mapping and quiet operation, resulting in efficient and thorough cleaning. However, some users find the app experience could be improved and express concerns about the frequency of dust bin emptying. The self-emptying feature is a highlight for many, though the need for replacement dust bins is a point of contention for some.

This vacuum mapped our room very well. However I have to return it since the suction power on it is not enough. Also this vacuum comes with the one-time disposable bags, which are no longer easily available. Have to return it due to these reasons.

Overall, I am impressed with the Samsung Jet Bot+ vacuum with docking station. The fact that I don't have to empty out the bin daily is a necessity for me. My previous robot vacuum would miss days because we never emptied it, where this one has a docking station self-emptying function. PROS: - Quiet Running sound/volume - Sleek look to the vacuum and base station - App shows a very detailed mapping system, and progress of where it has cleaned - Specific methodical path to cleaning a room (random path vacuuming will not work the same. Path robots get everything cleaned, but random ones miss places) - Easy setup - Clean everywhere mode to just clean everything in sight - Caution detection. If a USB cord is on the ground, it seems it and goes around. It also shows me the obstacle it avoided. - No-Go areas can be marked in the map, which is very accurate - Doesn't bang into things like my other ones have. It detects better than other models I've had that bump to detect. - 1 hr 1/2 battery life. It cleaned my main level (~1850 SQ ft). - I can schedule how many times, and at what level of suction, to vacuum whatever areas I want. CONS: - Paper filter for the docking station that requires me to buy new and replace, versus wash and reuse. - spinning lidar on the back could get dog hair stuck in it. My previous non-Samsung vacuum that has the same spinning lidar got so much dog hair in it, that it stopped spinng and would not function, giving an error code. This one has not yet done that, but with the vacuum causing static cling, I can see dog hair (Golden Retriever) stuck to the top. - The quality of carpet vacuuming is not equal to a human pushed vacuum, but daily use and it helps a lot. It will not do a deep cleaning vacuum job, only top surface on a carpet hardwood is great though. - Only saves 1 map. But can clean anywhere manually - The no-go vacuum area is not custom set, but only rectangular. You can make it work, but not perfect for every instance.

Specially as a first time homeowner who need to get all the appliances, deposits, moving fees, ect. Don’t buy it.

Robotic vacuuming that gets the job done

This is an impressive robot vacuum. It’s flagship feature is being able to empty the robots dust bin into the large bin on the dock and while I like this feature, I also get why it’s there. Samsung wants to sell you dust bin refills every few months. I personally didn’t mind emptying my robot in the early days of my older robot vacs. It was done by me every second or third cleaning and was easy enough. While auto-unloading the caught debris into the base is easier, you will need to a lot for the extra expense of dust bin refills; quarterly. Obstacle avoidance is not on this model so if you have pets I would give this a pass and get the next model up to avoid unnecessary pet messes at we will leave it at that :) The mapping software is off to a good start. I have the competing model from another company that’s been doing robotics longer and their mapping and app is much more mature but Samsungs app will definitely get the job done. You can designate rooms and boundaries as well as do not vacuum zones however, I don’t like having to use Smart Things to use the vac but I understand why they did it. Using their app allows them to integrate more services like cameras and doorbells into your home. I don’t think we’re ever going to get a single app to manage all your smart devices as security would be a nightmare. So, we are all stuck with multiple device management apps. The build quality of the vac is excellent and I think it will be around for years of service. Alexa can activate it to start vacuuming which is always nice. Overall I’m very pleased with this vacs performance!

This is my 5th robotic vacuum that I have had experience with over the last decade or so (4 different brands) and it is the best out of all of them. Pros: - Collision detection was fantastic. I have gotten many bumps and scrapes on chair legs from other vacuums but this one stops shy of walls and chair legs very well. - The ability to climb over carpet lips is the best I have seen for any robot vacuum. Others I have used have had trouble going from linoleum up over a carpet lip or from regular carpeting up onto a throw rug. - It talks! This vacuum will literally tell you what it is planning to do as it does it with an onboard speaker. If this annoys you, you can disable the feature in the app, but I thought it was cool. - The inclusion of an extra filter and dust bin bag is appreciated. One of the filters being washable and reusable is also appreciated. - The suction power is on par with what I have seen in an older model Samsung that I have used. Samsung always tends to have really good suction power compared to other robot vacuum brands. You can run it on eco or high power. I recommend always running on the highest setting to get the best cleaning power. It doesn't hurt battery life too much. Cons: - There is a high price point on this vacuum but you get what you pay for. If it is in your budget and the self-emptying feature is something you would appreciate, then this is a great option. - As with any robot vacuum, beware of pet waste getting caught in its path. The results will not be pretty. This latest offering from Samsung, with its automatic emptying system being an excellent feature, is a great option for folks looking for a hassle free cleaning experience.

    Nice robot vac

Nice robotic vacuum with some advanced features. I especially like that it has the cleaning station for automatic emptying with a bag for convenience and removal of dirt without a large cloud of dust that you usually get with bagless vacuums. It seems kind of ironic to me that most modern bagless vacs have so many expensive filters to trap dust inside but when you empty them you release a ton of dust and debris back into the air. I usually try to empty them outdoors but if it's cold or windy it can be quite inconvenient. On windy days I often end up wearing some of the dust so it really kind of defeats the purpose. I may sound old saying so bur I still prefer the older style of vacuums with a bag. That being said, the bag option is the main reason for not giving this five stars as it only comes with two bags and replacement bags are a bit expensive and could be easier to find. If Samsung made them a little cheaper and more available I would easily give it a five star rating. The bags aren't very big either so you may need to change them fairly often. Another consideration is where to put the charging/emptying station. Most of us just stuff our conventional vacs into a closet somewhere but for automatic recharging/emptying of a robotic vac this isn't likely to work so well. Obviously you need an electrical outlet to charge it and ideally it would be near the center of your house or rooms that you use it for so it can clean each space equally. You also need a bit of space around it to allow the vac to automatically dock. Be careful to find somewhere that you won't be constantly tripping over it or stubbing your toes. It does need some floor space though about the same as any robot vac. If I haven't talked you out of a robotic vac yet and you still want one, this is a good choice. I have an older model from another manufacturer but it didn't have an emptying station and was a bit more primitive so i quit using it mainly because I had to empty it after each use (dust cloud). This one is more advanced and the auto emptying into a bag is much more convenient and less effort. The app is pretty good with mapping and allows for no clean zones. You can also adjust the suction or leave it on auto which increases it on carpeted areas. Pretty quiet when running except when emptying when it's a bit louder. I hope Samsung makes the replacement bags more available and affordable so it will be more useful in the future.

Amazing robot vacuum puts others to shame!

The Samsung Jet Bot + is an amazing tool to have in the household and keep your place looking spotless! Out of the box, there is just a little bit of assembly, and it comes with a set up guide that will help you get everything put together, as you will have to remove some taped spots on the vacuum and insert its dust cartridge. I would recommend setting up the home base somewhere centralized in your house, where there is enough room for the vacuum to drive itself on and off the base station. It has a standard wall plug that is about 3ft long. After the initial set up, you will need to put the vacuum into its base station spot so it can charge. It will take and hour or two to fully charge the vacuum. After it is charged, you will need to open or install the Samsung SmartThings app. In the app you will add a device and it will find your new vacuum. Once the vacuum pairs with your app, It will have you run a first time drive around where it will map out and learn your house layout. Make sure you have any loose clothing, ribbons, cables, etc., picked up out of the path as they could get stuck in the wheels or brush. The top of the vacuum houses a type of radar scanner, and with the front bump pad, the vacuum will drive around for quite a bit and fully figure out where everything is. Once it has mapped everything out, you can see the map of your house on your SmartThings app when you open the vacuum device. It will detect and label each room and can be used later to spot clean specific rooms or map out specific areas you want cleaned. It has a little wire brush spinner on the front of the vacuum and knocks out any dirt from corners or walls so it can vacuum it up. The vacuum fits perfectly under the baseboards of the kitchen cabinets, under the refrigerator door, in between table chair legs so it can really get in and clean in the hard to see or reach spots. The battery on the vacuum is good for about an hour and a half of vacuuming. If your cleaning area is large or complicated and it runs low on battery, it will go back to the base station and charge itself, then when it is done charging, come back out and finish where it left off. It is really quite amazing to watch. It does talk to you some times if it needs something, like it will yell out if it needs something removed from its wheel that got stuck, or sometimes just wants to be sassy and stop what it is doing, spin around in a circle and tell you " Just checking out how clean everything is"! It really does the best on hardwood or kitchen surfaces. It does really well also on low pyle carpet. It does underperform quite a bit the taller the pyle of carpet though. It will vacuum up some surface dust or debris, but can't clean deep in the tall carpet. When the cleaning cycle is done, or when the on board debris/dust bin is full, the vacuum will return to the base station and empty itself out into a bagged vacuum inside the base station. Noise levels for both vacuums are pretty low and hardly burdening. My favorite part is that I can set the vacuum to clean on a time schedule, or have it clean any time I want from my phone no matter where I am as long as I'm connected to a network. I can go to work and activate a cleaning cycle while I'm gone. After the vacuum is done, you can view the cleaning report which will show you a map and lines of everywhere it went and cleaned, and show you areas that had higher dust levels. Overall, this vacuum has been something I never knew I needed until I started using it. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Obviously it is not capable of multi floor cleaning, and I would not put it upstairs or you will risk sending it down the stairs in a hot mess while it is trying to learn its cleaning path, so I recommend you only use on the ground floor. You may also want to put up a gate or something if you have basement stairs as well. That is an expensive tumble. It does come with spare parts which is nice. It comes with an extra wire brush spinner and an extra base station vacuum bag. I can not think of any flaws this vacuum has. It is so easy to use, it is crazy smart, and super convenient to use on the app. You will love it!

This vacbot corrects my biggest issue with robot vacuums… small storage for dirt/dust. The little tower is a very svelt looking charger/trash bin that works great for my family’s needs. I have a small house, and it takes it 30 minutes to do the whole house. Picks up pet hair of two cats and two dogs, plus whatever dust bunny or tracked in dirt it finds. Really a fantastic little set-up. The app is easy to use and gives you a great map of all the sections vacuumed or missed. It’s also quick to tell you anytime it gets stuck or lost. I wish this review could list some cons of ownership, but there really aren’t any. It comes with your first set of replacement parts so it’s first 6 months or so of ownership there are no bags or filters to buy like other robo vacs. This is a great device for those who would like a little support cleaning done around the house. It doesn’t replace a good sweeping & dustbin, but it does an admirable job of keeping dust buildup to a minimum. I’ve had a few robo vacs over the years, and so far this has been the best. It’s “smartest” of them with a reasonably good ability to get itself around without getting stuck where other vacuums would just sit and beep til you moved them. It’s definitely a large robot, so have a safe place to store it during charging cycles where it won’t become a tripping hazard.

I have never really felt like a robot vacuum could clean my home like an upright vacuum could but I was wrong. First, the design. It's simple and stylish at the same time. It isn't very loud and unless I see it, I forget it's there. Setup was fairly easy once I installed the app on my smartphone. I was able to set my preferences and stuff easily. The clean station was easy to setup as well. I like that it self empties. It'd be a bummer t have to empty it every time it got filled. The vacuum itself senses objects very well and has never really gotten stuck or caught on anything. The transition from hard floors to carpet was so smooth, like it was nothing. I have it set to run during the night, while I am asleep, so that I am not tripping over it. I like that it's capable of that. The clean station is in my bedroom and I thought that might be an issue when it empties at night cause I don't want to be woken up, but so far it has not even phased me. I also like that it provides a clean report when it has run it's cycle. It's cool to see the actual work it did. Overall, I enjoy this thing and am grateful I no longer have to vacuum myelf.

I’ve tried a bunch of different robot vacuums over the years, but the Jet Bot+ is my first experience with a Samsung. If it is at all indicative of what the past models have been like, I’ve clearly been missing out. Pros: -They’ve put a lot of work into making the most difficult part of getting this thing set up getting it out of the box in the first place. Adding it to the app is as simple as scanning a QR code, it literally talks you through the initial steps, and if you’ve already linked SmartThings to another smart device ecosystem like Google Home it automatically sets up the vacuum for that too. -The navigation system is insanely good. It took very little time to map out my home and once it did, it always seemed to know exactly where it was. Obstacle avoidance was likewise excellent, with it deftly navigating chairs and tables that I’ve seen other vacuums get stuck on. -The app tracks the lifespan of all the robot’s parts, alerting you before they wear out so that you can have replacements on hand. -Lots of different options to configure your cleaning. You can not only adjust suction levels, you can also pick between three different pathfinding algorithms. -Very good at containing allergens. The filters all have sturdy rubber gaskets, and the clean station uses a filterbag to make sure dust and debris stay in place and are easily disposed of. This is a huge deal for me as allergy season kicks off. -Great integrated cord management in the base station. You never notice how nice this is until you don’t have it. Cons: -The setup process could be improved on. I ran into issues trying to pair it with my WiFi network, which combines the 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands into a single SSID. The vacuum doesn’t support 5ghz, and on that basis refused to recognize my home WiFi as compatible until I manually entered the SSID and password. -It does have a fairly narrow brush, and cleaning performance in the corners definitely wasn’t great as a result. You’re going to need to touch those up manually regularly. -The cat has (so far) stubbornly refused to ride it like a horsey. -I have mixed feelings on the magnetic boundary tape included in the box to serve as a physical barrier. I don’t see how it would work in carpeted unless you maybe could install it below the carpet layer, and I really don’t think it looks great on solid floors either. I didn’t find that I needed it at all since the navigation system is so good, but I think I prefer IR base stations as a fallback to something I have to tape to the floor. Overall I was quite pleased with the Jet Bot+ and its ability to keep dust and pet hair in line. I’d recommend it to anyone with a home where other robots fear to tread due to obstacles or weird floorplans.
