Having prior experience with Samsung canister vacuums, and other bot vacuums, we were excited to test this new product out. The functionality of the app, integrating cleaning to both Samsung and other branded phone through their “Smart Things” app. It’s very user friendly from setup to getting the “set it and forget it state” on a set schedule. After getting the bot familiar with our rooms (kids play/kitchen/dining area) we wanted it to work in; high traffic common rooms, came placement of the clean station. Like a kitchen bin, we had to place the clean station in a location that doesn’t seem out of place; yet easy to get to. This is a common issue with any cross brand of bots for in-home cleaning from the clean bin/charging placement. The vacuum brush could do a little bit better job on some of our carpets, but may vary depending on the thickness of your carpet or throw carpets. Initially, the bot did get caught on transitions to our nicer area rugs (thickness). Made a few room adjustments and this seemed to have since resolved. Cleaning, the bot starts its initial cleaning in a zig-zag pattern before going into its normal clean cycle. Cleans the room twice before returning home if it does not need to empty itself sooner. Our kids really find it funny that a robot cries for help as we learned when it gets stuck. We do have to ensure our children pickup their play area every night as this doesn’t pick up for them (not a concern or expectation for our lil bot guy) this is to ensure none of their Legos or other small toys end up getting stuck or into the dirt tank. You do get the just vacuumed feel to the area; carpet is nice and fluffy feeling when walked on. Our kids love it. Once the clean bin is filled, we do get a notification to empty it and it’s done rather easily. Overall, we are deeply impressed with the overall performance and how well it cleans. We are interest in adding another unit to the mix at some point as this has made a part of the daily parental chores more easily done.

This Samsung robot vacuum is amazing! I gave it the toughest job in the house and I was pleasantly surprised to see it cleaned it up. I open the front door and my dog lays in front of the front door (there is a storm door) and she supervises the front yard. This inevitably results in dog fur, dirt from when I let her out to say hello to the neighbor dogs out for a walk, etc. I put the Samsung robot vacuum to work in the front doorway. It swiped up that dog fur and the dirt including little pebbles, easy peasy! Did I mention there is bench in that area? The vacuum goes underneath and around and does not leave marks when it is next to the legs. Woo Hoo! Another thing I really liked was it was ready to go out of the box after charging, nothing to put together. When I first opened the box there were several parts. I thought I was going to have to read an instruction manual and figure out how to put it together. No assembly required. Those nice people at Samsung sent extra parts. Nice.

Samsung - Jet Bot+ Robot Vacuum with Clean Station - White is one of the best robot vacuum cleaners we've owned. The Jet Bot+ is a large robot and quite powerful both in vacuuming power and in its ability to get around without getting hung up going from hard floor surfaces onto rugs/carpet. It moves quickly on straightaways but slows quickly to navigate corners or objects without all the bumping into things I've noticed with some of the other robot vacuums we've had -- some of those reminded me of watching a pinball game. The Jet Bot+ has plenty of sensors so that it moves surely and efficiently easily avoiding objects such as furniture, walls etc. It will adjust power for movement and suction based upon the type of surface it is on and the amount of dust/debris it encounters. Although there is the typical smart app for you phone so you can do all sorts of things remotely, I tend to use the Jet Bot+ without it -- that's just me; start it, it maps then it cleans and you don't think about it anymore. The Jet Bot+ does an excellent job of mapping the house so that it will find its clean station easily after being out in several rooms cleaning when it needs to return to empty its dust bin or to recharge. Some robot vacuums "talk" to you to let you know what's going on with it. I would say the Jet Bot+ is quite talkative when needed. At least you aren't left to puzzle out codes for troubleshooting since it will tell you what the problem is. I have to say here that the Jet Bot+ actually cleans better, hard floor or soft, than any robot vacuum we've owned. The way it's designed keeps the brush clean of hair accumulation! That's a very useful feature. The only "negative" I can think of is that the Jet Bot+ isn't a quiet little vacuum you can't hear. It definitely sounds like a vacuum cleaner, but not as noisy as a canister or upright vacuum -- manual vacuums are all much louder than the Jet Bot+. However, some robot vacuums are quieter but, frankly, they do not clean as well as the Jet Bot+. I'd rather have a little more sound knowing the machine is doing a first-rate cleaning job. All in all, this one is definitely a keeper. Check it out and you'll find this one is a real vacuum cleaner, but you don't have to do the work!

After using this system for a couple weeks I have to say that hands down it is the best one (this is number 4) robotic vacuum I have had. Setup was simple with the SmartThings app. Right out of the gate this device impresses. The first thing it did was take an "image" of the floor layout. This is done using LIDAR, think radar using a laser. It creates an actual map of the floor layout in the app and assigns rooms. You can modify the layout if you like but it was easy to see everything including where my coffee table was and even the legs of the dining room table. Everything seems to work exceptionally well including on some deep carpet that other robotic vacuums would get stuck on. After it has "learned" the rooms it will clean the interior of a room and then finish with going around the border. When it vacuums it will typically go in straight lines although on occasion it will seem like it is going in some weird random order. It does a great job on coverage and doesn't do like the other robot vacuum and clean the same space multiple times and miss some other areas together. If there is one area it will occasionally have an issue with is on the floor vents. Sometimes it will think it is going off a stair and hang there. Oh and did I mention it talks to you to let you know what's going on. And yes it will work with Google home. Overall, I have no complaints!

The robot vacuum hardware is great, but the software is trash. It goes in circles and can never find its home. I have called samsung and did a repair, but its still trash. I will never buy a samsung product again. This is coming from someone who has only had samsung tvs and phones, but no more.
