Pros Spinning action removes more than static pad Extremely quiet Doesn’t require setting up an account Easy to set up Cons Requires lots of manual attention Only allows water Needs barriers to set up in larger rooms Tends to clean small, long areas repeatedly Often misses areas Easily gets lost or stuck Rams into cabinets with foot kick recesses Tries to mop low shag carpet Status beeps sound too familiar No water sensor Design and Features The Jetbot Mop utilizes a very simple design. It has two rotating pads that have water reservoirs to allow wet mopping. It comes with both scrubbing and polishing pads. Included is a remote. It isn’t smart integrated or require any sort of an account to set up. It has a carrying handle with a power button integrated and it looks like two sensors on the side. The overall design is very simple and easy to understand. Performance and Operation The first thing the instructions recommend is washing the cleaning pads even though they are new. This is a good idea since they tend to leave more cleaning marks on the floor when new. Once you choose if you want the scrubbing or polishing pad all you have to do is fill up the water reservoir on each cleaning disk. The instructions specify to only use water, which severely limits the cleaning abilities. You can start cleaning directly by using the power button but it is really designed to be controlled via the remote so you can easily choose cleaning modes. The instructions give you very little detail as to all the differences in clean modes. For example, it has an Auto mode and a 50-minute mode. During usage, both the Auto mode and 50-minute mode ran the maximum runtime of 50 minutes. While in operation, it gives status updates for things like low battery, but the beeps used sound nearly the same which makes it hard to determine what beeps mean and the instructions offer no information. The status light only changes color for some things but the colors it changes don’t always match the instructions. During mopping, the Jetbot seems to wander around in random directions. Sometimes you can turn it on, and it will clean one small area and then go straight across the room and clean one small area over and over. In fact, the logic to the cleaning pattern seems to prefer long, small strips of flooring. In a large room with U shaped floor to clean, it would repeatedly start in the large area and quickly move to the small 1-foot wide strip of flooring and repeated clean that section of the remainder of the 50 minutes. It would barely clean the rest. No matter where it was placed it would find it way to that 1-foot wide strip and clean it until out of battery. Anything larger than a medium sized room will also require you to block off areas to clean. It can’t properly clean larger rooms in one pass requiring you to stage each area before cleaning. It also has a tendency to want to clean over low shag carpets which requires further blocking and preparation. It also has a flaw in that it cannot properly detect cabinets with floor kicks. The sensors are so low that it seems the space under the cabinet for your feet as where the wall is. This leads to the Jetbot slamming repeatedly into cabinets. More than likely this will cause marring to the cabinets over time, so you also have to protect your cabinets. If you have any furniture, such as a couch with just enough of a gap below, the Jetbot will repeatedly try to clean under that portion until it gets stuck under the couch. It seems to have no ability to detect the obstacle or that fact that it is getting stuck. The only place it seems to detect properly are standard baseboards where it works as intended and gently touches them and moves on. If you have basic rooms, it might still be a good choice but then the question is how well does it clean. The manual says to only use plain water which seems problematic. It means even cleaning something like light dirt takes several passes to pick up. Any dirt more stuck to the floor likely won’t get cleaned up as the water cannot release the stain from the floor. The other issue is that anything that has an odor, including most dirt, just gets spread around the room. Other people who would enter the room said it would just end up making the room smell unclean as it spread the smell around. There doesn’t seem to be any technical reason why the cleaning pads couldn’t use cleaning chemicals as this would solve half of the issues. Because of this, mopping also tends to leave streaks and cleaning marks on the floor making it look as though you cleaned with dirty water. Final Thoughts At first glance, the idea of robot floor cleaner that actually scrubs the hard floors seems great. Unfortunately, the effort to keep things simple Samsung seems to have gone too far. Except for very simply rooms, it would be quicker to just manually mop the floor yourself. It would be less of a fuss, come out cleaner in the end, and you wouldn’t have to prep the device and room beforehand. Manually you also wouldn’t need to stop every 50 minutes clean up again. Manually you could also use chemicals and clean the entire floor quickly and effectively while also avoiding mopping marks. Unless you have very basic rooms and just want keep basic dust and dirt off the floors, you are better off with cleaning the floors manually until Samsung revises the design and cleaning logic of the Jetbot.

*Summary: The Samsung Jetbot Mop, with its dual spinning pads, does a pretty good job cleaning the floor and saving lots of time in the process. Setting it up for cleaning is easy and quick and no special soap or chemicals is required. The Jetbot gets confused sometimes over boundaries but it alters its course correctly most of the time. It can't completely replace all of your scrubbing and mopping scenarios, like for old or deep stains, but for regular maintenance and upkeep, it's a great cleaning robot servant to have around. _____ Pros: -It's a cool-looking little mopping machine. -Easy to set up and use. -No proprietary soap or chemical required. -A remote control is included so no smartphone app is needed. -Can start Jetbot without a remote control. -Quiet operation. -Didn't damage or scratch up my flooring. _____ Neutral: -Doesn't perform a dry sweep before mopping. -Takes a long time to fully recharge the battery (~2.5 hours). -It will continue to operate even after the water runs out. -No smartphone app to control Jetbot or check on any errors. -Only two sets of cleaning pads included. -Activating hand-held mode by double-pressing the button sometimes does not work. _____ Cons: -No separate avoidance devices or beacons are included to tell the Jetbot to avoid certain areas. -Once, it failed to backtrack and mopped the carpet. === Design, Build Quality, and Ease of Use === The Jetbot Mop is an interesting-looking robot that kind of reminds me of an oversized VR headset. I like its black and white color theme and I think it looks cool overall. The fit-and-finish and build quality live up to the Samsung branding, meaning it's constructed durably and feel solid, and getting it set up was a simple and easy process except for the first time I tried to take the discs off the Jetbot. The manual wasn't very clear on this but to take off the discs, you just need to pull them straight out without any rotations. With its 6 lb. weight, the Jetbot didn't cause any strain when I picked it up to use it as a wall scrubber. The double-tap to activate the hand-held mode, however, didn't always work reliably and I had to repeat the process a couple of times sometimes. The two water reservoirs each hold 55ml of water and I like that I don't need to purchase any proprietary or special chemicals for the Jetbot. Although the manual doesn't mention it, you can spray some cleaning chemicals on the bottom of the mopping pads to increase the Jetbot's cleaning effectiveness; just be sure to stay away from harsh or abrasive chemicals to protect your flooring. For those who don't want their robot servant to map the interior of your house and give away your location, you'll like that the Jetbot doesn't require any mobile apps. It's a double-edged sword, though, because without any beacons, you can't command the Jetbot to stay away from certain locations, check on its status for any errors, or perform smart AI assistant commands. At a price point of $300, I didn't expect smart functionality, but I was surprised nevertheless that Samsung didn't integrate the Jetbot within its SmartThings mobile app. === Performance === If you use the Jetbot for its designed purpose - routine maintenance and upkeep of your flooring and cleaning up mostly fresh spills - then you'll be happy with its performance and oodles of time it'll save you. With its eight different cleaning modes and two different mopping pads, it does an admirable job and you won't have to touch that mop again and deal with the dirty water basin. For older or deep stains, you'll have to scrub it away manually using good old elbow grease, par for the course with most robot mop machines regardless of the price. There is one cleaning mode - the Focus mode - that I wish I had more granular control over. As it is, Focus mode does not have a distance or radius limit; the Jetbot will continue in the Focus pattern for the entire room. So, if you want to spot clean a small area using Focus mode, then you'll have to remember to stop the Jetbot once it's done with the area you want to be cleaned. As expected from a non-hybrid mopping machine, the Jetbot is unable to vacuum crumbs or other small debris. It would've been nice, however, if it had the ability to perform a dry sweep of the area at least before water mopping. As it is, it's recommended that you sweep or vacuum the area before you set off the Jetbot on its mopping mission. The Jetbot comes with three sensors built-in (obstacle, wall-following, and cliff), and most of the time, it did a good job staying away from the carpeted area and getting itself unstuck in tight corners. The few times it did cross over onto the carpet, it quickly backtracked and resumed its duty on the wood flooring. But one time, it remained on the carpet and mopped it for about 20-30 minutes. XD If you have low carpeting, then I recommend keeping an eye on the Jetbot in case the same thing happens to you. Samsung's website says the noise level generated by the Jetbot is 63 dBA and to me, it sounded quieter than that. Compared to our other cleaning robots, the Jetbot is the quietest. === Is it a good buy? === Yes, if you value your time a lot and you dislike dealing with a dirty mop and dirty water. The Jetbot may not have lots of bells and whistles but at $300, and often going on sale for $250, it's a great value and a good robot that doesn't require much babysitting and maintenance.

    Simple but Surprisingly Effective

Pros: * Works surprisingly well. * Quiet. * Can be used on windows and tile walls, too. * Useful remote control. Cons: * Water reservoirs empty long before the battery drains. * Cannot easily restrict to individual rooms or spaces. * No “smarts.” Review: Robot floor cleaners have come a LONG way since the early days. They used to just randomly bump around and hope to cover everything. Now they can create and store maps of your whole home and be directed to work in individual rooms. Many can be restricted from rooms or zones based on those maps, too. Some can be triggered by schedules or voice commands. The fanciest of models even plan out the best routes to get everywhere as efficiently as possible. This robot mop harkens back to the early days of robotic cleaners. It doesn’t have any type of room mapping. There’s no WiFi connection to an app. No Alexa or Google Home integration. It does have a few sensors to detect a cliff or when it’s about to bump into something, but otherwise it just does various random patterns - hoping to clean everything… at least until it runs out of battery or you turn it off. It’s actually quite fun watching it go. Most robot floor cleaners have wheels of various configurations. This thing has two spinning discs that mop the floor and move it around. There are no drive wheels per se. The discs that clean the floor also propel it in various directions. This is not only effective but very quiet. I was surprised at how well it works. You’re not supposed to use any type of detergent, but the water and pads did a pretty good job anyway. There are few aspects that could use improvement, though. Each spinning disc has a dedicated water reservoir to keep that spinning pad moist. Those reservoirs each don’t hold much water. In fact, they ran dry long before the battery did, which is good for battery life but not so much for moist mapping pads. While the whole thing is kinda small, the unit is a bit on the tall side. It doesn’t fit under baseboards and can’t slip under many types of furniture. It’ll still get the walkways clean, but don’t expect it to get everywhere like some of its shorter competitors. Also, there is no way to easily constrain it to one room or area. You basically have to erect barriers with chairs or other objects if you want to keep in a space, or close doors, if you can, to keep it in a room. I put it down in my den which is connected to the rest of the house. When I came back to check on it a while later, it was in a completely different room of the house, just merrily wiping down the floors wherever it could reach. Overall, this robot mop is very effective for its lack of smarts. There are other brands of robot mops with more intelligence, but this one does the job quite well despite being simple. it just needs a bit more care and feeding but still gets the floors clean, and that’s what counts.

The Samsung Jetbot Mop is a great addition to homes that have extensive hardwood, tile or stone flooring. It will unobtrusively clean those floors with almost no effort required on your part. The Jetbot is very well-made with a light-weight but sturdy body. It can also be handheld, making it very useful for cleaning walls and other vertical surfaces. This is a real joy to own! Samsung is one of the world’s largest consumer electronic firms. It was founded in 1938 as a diversified trading company which grew to include heavy industry, chemicals, financial services and food processing. It is the largest South Korean company. A subsidiary began to focus on electronics in the late 1960s. Today Samsung is a leading manufacturer of semiconductors, cell phones, LCD panels, digital TVs, computers, tablets, audio equipment and consumer products such as kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, air conditioners and floor care products. The Samsung Jetbot Mop is their newest entry for home use. Consider these features: • Samsung Jetbot Mop cordless automatic mop (Model VR20T6001MW/AZ) • Damp mops hard surface floors, scrubs walls and windows. • Eight pre-programmed cleaning modes (Auto, Edge, Step, Intensive, Focus, Pattern, 50 minutes, Manual) • Large non-slip ergonomic handle for hand mode (wall and window cleaning) • Automatic water dispensers provide up to 50 minutes of water or cleaning solutions • Smart system sensors to avoid furniture, walls, carpeting • LED lights on unit indicate charge level (yellow – discharged, blue – 50%, off – fully charged) • 100 minutes running time from 3.7 volt 100 mAh lithium ion battery • Twin 27 watt digital inverter motors provide powerful spin motion with 100% vertical pressure • Charger: 14.0 volt, 1.2 amp • Charging time 150 minutes from full discharge • Handle on unit permits use for wall and window scrubbing • 12 inch wide by 6 inch deep cleaning path with excellent edge cleaning • 2 microfiber mop pads, 2 mother yarn mop pads • Mopping pads easily remove for cleaning • Silicone brush for cleaning mop pads included • Docking tray holds unit during charging • Lightweight! Just 3.7 pounds! • Dimensions: 12.2 inches wide by 5.5 inches deep by 6 inches tall • One year limited warranty on parts and labor, ten year warranty on digital inverter motors In my condo the cleaning challenges I face are a 2400 square foot mix of granite and hardwood floors. I use a full-size floor washer for heavy duty floor cleaning tasks but, while it cleans the floors, it usually leaves streaks and a faint soap film on the surface. I also do twice-weekly vacuuming, manual damp mopping, dusting and spot cleaning as necessary. Needless to say, my floor cleaning regime was very time-consuming! Finally, having allergies to dust, a small, sweet (but somewhat leaky) Yorkie, the need for Covid-19 higher sanitation standards and extra dirt infiltrating from construction being done in the neighborhood made me very interested in adding an automated layer of housekeeping to supplement or replace my regular regime of floor cleaning. In comes the convenience of the Jetbot Mop. What makes the Samsung Jetbot Mop so promising is that it might eliminate my dusting, traveling around with the mop on the stick, spot cleaning and the floor streaks/soap film. The first thing you will notice when you unbox your new Samsung Jetbot Mop is that it is well-made, very compact and lightweight (3.7 pounds). No setup is required other than charging it for first use. The on/off button glows yellow/green when it needs charging, blue when it is 50% charged and turns off when it is fully charged. It may take as long as 150 minutes to fully charge the unit from a completely discharged condition. The Jetbot Mop has two water tanks and two sets of mop pads that spin rapidly to clean the floor. The two water supply tanks hold just a couple of ounces of water, but that is sufficient to keep the mop heads damp for about 50 minutes. Choose a mop head (either the grey Mother yarn for dusty floors with spills on them or the green microfiber head for final cleaning). Wet down the mop heads then wring out excess water and attach them to the Velcro on the bottom of the water tanks. Snap the assembly onto the unit, press the power button for two seconds and it is ready to begin work. Just select a pattern on the remote control and the Jetbot will start cleaning. The Jetbot Mop pads are slightly larger than the unit and get into corners and edges for deep cleaning. It runs very quietly and a full charge gives almost 2 hours of cleaning time. Samsung’s specification says that the sound level is 63 dBA but that is right next to the Jetbot on the floor. I measured the sound level six feet above it and it was only about 50 dBA – very quiet! You will barely notice it running. The remote control offers eight options for the cleaning pattern. The “auto” setting is fine for most purposes. Samsung really doesn’t give a very good explanation for why you might want one pattern verses another. The “focus” pattern is good if you have a particularly dirty spot on the floor, as is the “intensive” pattern. On the other hand, I did not see much value in the “step” or “figure 8” patterns. I wish that Samsung would provide more guidance on the proper use of the various patterns. The proximity sensors of the unit are sensitive to furniture and other objects and the curved plastic body does not scratch or damage on contact. One issue I found was that in my kitchen the recessed kickplates were not detected by the sensors so the Jetbot kept hitting my cabinets. Most kitchens will have a similar problem. If the unit were about 1.5 inches shorter that problem could be avoided. A little confusing are the audible signals to warn of unit being caught behind a house plant or low on water or near end of cycle. With practice, I am learning the “language” the Jetbot Mop speaks. But it is not intuitive to learn. One other complaint is that only two sets of mop pads are provided and I could find no way to order more. Given the cost I think Samsung should have provided four sets. But putting aside those issues, how well does it work? In a word, outstanding! It quietly but very thoroughly removed any dust on the floors, cleaned out of the corners and removed any footprints, film or streaks. I found that it did a superb job on all of the hard surfaces and left a streak free, chemical free, beautifully clean floor! I am totally impressed with how much cleaner and shinier my floors are looking with the regular Jetbot mopping. It does exactly what it I hoped it would do and it does it very well. I activate it several times each week and just let it quietly clean my entire floor. But the best part is that my little Yorkie loves it! She watches it work and sometimes dances with it, spinning in circles around it while it cleans. One day she carried some of her toys over to it and put them on it so that they could ride around on the Jetbot! Not kidding – see the photo! That alone made it worthwhile to bring this great appliance into my home! ` My Yorkie and I are enjoying the luxury of using this wonderful automatic (and entertaining!) floor cleaner and we give it five well-earned stars and our highest recommendation!

Samsung got a lot right with this little gadget, but it has a ways to go before I toss out my bucket. Firstly, this is not a set it and forget it robot. It requires a remote control with several mode selections to get a job fully done. Second, you’re going to have to go behind it and wipe down the space between the cabinets and baseboards in the kitchen because the robot is too tall to go under them. Third, and maybe most frustrating, it will get your rugs wet because the sensors just aren’t quite sophisticated enough. What is does very well though is CLEAN. If you have large swathes of hard floors, it actually scrubs. That’s one thing I have not see other brands be able to achieve. So somewhere between the perfect form factor if other brands and the scrubbing functionality of the Jetbot Mop, there is still a dream robot mop waiting to be made. I would pass on this one for now because I have a feeling Samsung will take the user experiences back to the lab and get a lot more right on their second attempt. I’m not convinced this one is much less effort than a mop and bucket. Keep in mind, you’ll still need to launder the pads, you’ll have to wash the pads in water and fill the tiny wells up with water after 50 minutes, and you’re not using soap, steam, or disinfectant anywhere.

I love to walk barefoot so I am constantly using my traditional stick-style wet mop to clean the floors. I, therefore, thought my floors were pretty clean. The Samsung Jet Mop is easy to set up and get running. I charged it, filled the receptacles, dampened the pads, and attached them, and off it ran. I did not program it or use the remote. I just let it do its thing. It maneuvered well around my dining room table and chairs. It went from linoleum to the slate entryway without a problem. When it finally ran out of water and alerted me by beeping, I checked the pads and they were filthy! I was shocked at how much dirt there was on my floor! The pads come clean in the washing machine and are ready to use again. When my elderly dog had an accident, the Jet Mop cleaned it up without an issue. I have not played around with the remote yet. I prefer to just set it down and let it go. I continue to be amazed at how much dirt the pads pick up from my "clean" floors!

My home is a mostly tile so this mop seemed like a perfect answer to fit the bill of cleaning. Unfortunately it fell short in a few areas. Design It is fairly simple. Handle and power button on top. Sensors on the side. 2 pads on the bottom. Cleaning The mop only uses plain old clean water. No chemicals at all. This in turn makes me want to question if this is for just light cleaning vs. actual cleanup. Using just water isn't going to lift major dirt and sanitize at all. The reservoirs, when filled to max, lasts just as long as the battery does before charging is needed. Thoughts Mind you, this mop isn't like a Roomba or a "smart" type cleaning device. It has a stand to store it, but it is not a charging pad. You must plug it in to charge (not a deal breaker). It doesn't learn your home so every time you turn it on, it will just randomly go where ever it wants (if not using manual). When in a larger room, i.e. living room or a family room I let it run on auto or 50min as after almost a week of observation, it is just the same thing. Battery life lasts about that long before dying and needs to be recharged. Sensors are really good as when using Edge Mode, it stays on the edge and if it starts to drift away, it backs up, slides back to the edge and attempts a straight route again. Even though it is supposed to sense obstacles to avoid, it needs to be watched still. I would say 80+% of the time, it won't notice an AC cord and will run it over, spin around, get caught and "try" to get free by just spinning in place until you notice. Also, it sometimes doesn't notice carpet on a tile floor. It does stop a lot to turn away from the carpet, but sometimes it doesn't care and will start soaking it. In a hallway or a bedroom, it performs great. Not a lot of room for error, but cleans and edges almost 100%. In a larger room, it seems to go back to the same spots over and over again. The way I avoid this is switching to manual and "driving" it around the house. Depending on your situation and size of home, this may or may not suit you.

A simple clean and shine, easy/convenient to use

Our household is pretty familiar with robot cleaners as we’ve got a robot vacuum that we use on a regular basis, but this is our first mop-type robot that cleans with water. The Samsung JetBot lets us automate cleaning for wet or sticky messes that the vacuum cannot. We have mostly hardwood and laminate tile flooring in our home, so with the exception of bedrooms that have carpeting or rugs, we can use the JetBot in almost all the rooms. We find we use it most in the kitchen where spills and drips happen more frequently. Assembly is simple with a press and twist of the two water tanks onto the bottom of the robot; each tank holds about ¼ cup of water, and you do not add any detergent when using it. The JetBot comes with two sets of cleaning pads: a pair of heavy duty cotton pads and a pair of microfiber pads for buffing. These attach to the bottom of the water tanks with Velcro, though you do have to be mindful that the pads are centered and aligned correctly. The heavy duty pads pick up a decent mount of grime and dirt and even managed to pull some stuff out of the grout lines between the floor tiles. The lighter weight microfiber pads are good for light or regular cleaning and light mopping and give the floors a little buff. The manual indicates that you should not to operate the device without using water in the tanks. The JetBot has a rechargeable battery that will last up to two 50-minute sessions for a total of 100 minutes of cleaning time. The battery takes about 4-5 hours to charge fully from the “low battery” state. After turning the unit on by pressing and holding the power button, you can choose an operating mode by pressing one of the mode buttons on the remote control (within 15 feet). The “auto” mode attempts to clean the entire room by starting from the center and moving outward towards the perimeter. There are sensors on the robot that help it avoid obstacles like furniture and walls, but we found that it typically gently bumps most things in its way before changing directions. There’s a drop sensor that will help it avoid dropping off a cliff, like a step or stairway, and it worked in our kitchen to avoid the step to the mud room. However, there doesn’t appear to be “virtual walls” that you can add to the system to confine it within boundaries or to a room. The JetBot moves pretty slowly, so even in our small kitchen we usually run it for two 50-minute sessions to ensure it gets to every spot and corner. You can also run it in ‘intensive’ mode in which the pads rotate faster and the machine moves more quickly. This allows it to clean a little faster, saving you time but runs down the battery faster. However, you do have to refill the tank after 50 minutes or when it runs out of water. The machine doesn’t build an internal map of the layout of the room, so when you restart it, it will start a brand new cycle. Of the other modes, I found ‘edge’ to be the most useful after ‘auto,’ as this directs the robot to clean just the perimeter of the room near the walls, where dust and debris tend to accumulate. The only problem we had with this is due to the height of the device, it can’t get right up the floor edge of our kitchen cabinets or appliances, which are recessed starting at about 4 inches from the floor, so we still end up running the robot vacuum to get into these low crevices. The focus mode is supposed to cover a specific area that might require deeper cleaning, but we found that even when manually placing it and starting on a particularly dirty spot, it would ‘wander’ away from this spot over time. While the unit is not actively in any operating mode, you can use the directional arrow keys to manually move the JetBot around the room. This helps if you want to target a certain spot that you feel the automatic programming isn’t getting. The ‘figure 8’ and ‘step’ pattern are interesting, but I haven’t found a specific use case for them. I really like that there’s a ‘handy cleaning’ mode that lets you operate the unit handheld. Just press the power button twice after turning it on and the pads will spin, allowing you to clean up messes anywhere while holding the handle. This is useful for lightly cleaning walls, shower tiles, windows, and even countertop surfaces. You do have to remember not to put the unit down while in ‘handy’ mode because all the sensors will be off, including obstacle and drop sensors. If you put it down will in this mode it’ll run into things and could fall from high surfaces. To exit this mode, press the power button twice or the start/stop key on the remote. It’s important to note that the storage base that the unit comes with is not a charging base; you just place the JetBot there after use, but you still have to plug the included adapter into the power port on the back of the robot. Even then, sometimes the plug did not make a good connection on the first try, and the charging light wouldn’t illuminate so we had to unplug and plug it in again before the unit started charging. The robot also doesn’t “find” the base on its own when it’s low on battery. It simply stops wherever it is and beeps a couple times with a flashing yellow light around the power button -- this is because you’re not supposed to store the unit with the wet pads still attached. After each use you should remove the wet pads, empty out any remaining water in the tanks, and allow everything to dry thoroughly before the next use. This will help avoid mold and mildew developing in the water tanks and on the pads. Be sure to dab the corner of a towel inside the tank door to sop up any residual water, as the lip of the opening prevents you from dumping out the last ½ teaspoon of water in the tank. The pads were easy to clean in the sink with a little bit of laundry detergent. A silicone scrub is included to help loosen and clean away any debris that may have accumulated on the pads. Machine washing and drying were not recommended in the manual, so I hand-wash then hang-dry the pads. Overall, although the unit takes a while to fully clean a room, the JetBot helps us automate mopping of the floors, freeing us up to do other things. It’s not entirely hands-off though, as you do have to fill/re-fill the tanks and ensure you remove and clean the pads after each use, but that’s a lot easier than traditional mopping. I like that you can also use it as a handheld cleaner on other surfaces, though for really thick, dried-on messes, it wasn’t able to make significant headway versus a good detergent and elbow grease.

I wasn’t really sure what to think of this little bot at first but I have had it now for a little over a month and use it every weekend and sometimes during the week and love it! When I first got it, I pulled it out of the box and was surprised how light it was which is important because you can also use it as a hand tool to clean the shower (works great for that too). The set up video link they provide confused me and then I read the instruction and still was a little confused. I was over thinking it. It’s really pretty simple. 1. Charge it, #2. Add water to the plastic pads. #3. Wet and wring the provided cloth mop pads. #4 Place pads on the plastic pads. #5. Place the plastic pads onto the Jetbot (you'll here a click) Place Samsung Jetbot on the floor and turn on the power and hit which pattern you like on the remote control. This little guy came to life and began its dance across the floor. The motors on the pads act like little legs and it “walks” around the floor as the motors on each pad alternate to allow for the movement. I watched it launch into its tasks. I noticed that as it went around my kitchen it became evident that it would take a little time to be able to get the whole floor as it would miss some areas and would take a while to come back around to get it but it did. Also it is only water that is applied and not any chemical agents to clean. I guess you could add some cleaner agent but I would guess there is the potential to leave a lot of cleaning agent on the floor as the bot works. I found that the water by itself worked really well though and I have not tried any chemical agents. I had some light soil marks I placed on the floor to see how well the scrubbing did and it worked surprisingly well. I don’t think it would do super well on really heavily soiled floors but it has done amazingly well on general kitchen spills like drips from cooking lids, a spot of coffee that found its way to the floor and a general smudge here and there. ect. I use the Jetbot on a day that I am lounging around the house to do the tile areas. You do need to keep an eye on it to some degree. It left the tile kitchen area and began wondering about the house on the wood floor, which is fine but I felt I had to refocus it back on the area I wanted it to clean. I have since used doggy gates to keep it corralled and on task. It has worked great! The amount of water it uses to clean is good. Wet enough to clean but not drenched and it dries pretty quick. I also liked that it was a lot quieter than I thought it would be. My dog is terrified of the robot vacuum but merely gave the Samsung Jetbot a quick sniff and carried on with his business. It came with two mop pads, a yarn and a microfiber. I used the micro fiber primarily but both work great. I also liked that it had different modes. I started with the random mode and after it escaped my kitchen, I selected the focus mode and it did just that but I still put up the doggy gates so I can set and forget. Samsung really made an awesome little mop bot. I hate to mop and it’s such a pain, so being able to just grab this little guy and hit the start button and walk away is great. It occasionally misses a spot here and there and needs a little corralling but using it once or twice a week as opposed to never mopping at all…Well the Samsung Jet Mop is a winner for me!

    One less chore to do!

No one likes chores and there are many devices that help us skip doing stuff we don't like and enjoy what we do. This little robot is one of those magical devices! While robot vacuums are pretty common - robotic mops are not for some reason, so I was really excited to finally get one! Device itself is pretty small and resembles a real big brush with 2 spinning disks, in fact you can use this robot as a manual brush and clean spots that need special attention manually (there is a special mode for that that is activated by holding a power button). There are 4 cleaning pads included - 2 are very soft and 2 are a little more rigid, but still absolutely fine to be used on hardwood floors. Cleaning fluid (manual recommends just water but I had success with Bona cleaner) is added into cleaning brushes - there is a special cavity in the base part of a cleaning disk where fluid is added. Both disks need to be filled. After adding fluid and picking correct cleaning pads - just set robot in the room you want cleaned and press power button (or use the included IR remote control) - robot will navigate thru the room by spinning the cleaning disks and "floating" in the direction it wants to go. It's pretty quiet and does not disturb me at all even if I'm in the same room. Wait about 45 minutes and viola - room is mopped! Couple things that I'm not crazy about. First of all - charging. Unlike robot vacuums - this robotic mop won't just come home and recharge. It needs to be picked up, placed on it's "base" and then you have to plug the charging cord in. Cleaning fluid - you have to make sure robot has fluid available, there is no indication of the fluid level, you can only judge by the wetness of the floor behind the robot. It takes about 45-50 minutes to run out of cleaning fluid (water). Robot won't return to the base (there is not really a base, it's more like a plastic storage tray) - it just stops after cleaning time runs out. So you kinda have to be home and almost actively supervise the process time to time. And if you have carpet in adjacent room - make sure it does not go there, I've found it can go over carpet no problem! Maximum obstacle it can go over is about 3/8", it won't go over anything taller. As a conclusion - solid 4 stars, it's a good helper, just not completely "independent". And no - there is no phone app to control it, just an IR remote...

I was interested to try this robotic mop, but wasn’t exactly sure what to expect as far as how it would work. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with it. While it seemed like it could be really useful, I was not impressed with its capabilities. I currently have a robotic vacuum that connects to WiFi and can be scheduled and programmed to vacuum. That device works great because it knows the layout of my home and I can even program it to go to specific rooms from my phone. This device on the other hand has no such capability. It does NOT connect to WiFi, so you can’t control it with an app, and you can’t program it to tell it where to go. It has some different options to operate it on a physical remote that comes with it. These options include an auto option, a 50 minute option, a manual control option, etc. First, I think the manual control option is pretty useless. If I am going to spend my time standing and manually pressing arrows on a remote control to tell it where to go, I might as well just get a regular mop and do it myself. Not only would that be faster and easier, but I would be able to apply more pressure to the floor when mopping myself. This mop gets the floor wet and does a decent job at mopping, but it does not apply the kind of pressure you would get when using a mop yourself. I also tried letting this unit mop on its own with the 50 minute option. I did not like that! There is no way to program where the unit goes. So, it just goes wherever it feels like. If there is a room or something you want it to avoid, it cannot be programmed to avoid that. It will avoid certain obstacles, but you can’t set it to avoid certain areas or rooms. The lack of ability to program this and tell it where you want it to go is pretty disappointing because that means I still have to supervise it to ensure it doesn’t go beyond where I want it to mop. Having to sit and watch it certainly doesn’t save me any time. You can use the remote and manually press arrows to tell it where to go, but this is time consuming and too much trouble! Also, there are a few manual things you have to do to use this each time. You have to fill the little circular tanks before using it and then if there is water left in them after, you need to drain them. Additionally, you will need to clean and dry the mop pads and manually recharge the mop. It just seems to me like if you still have to do all of those steps, by the time you do all that and then have to sit and supervise this device to make sure it doesn’t go in places you don’t want it to, it would just be easier and faster to do the mopping yourself! This device seems like a good idea and it does do a decent job at getting the floor wet and cleaning, but the lack of ability to tell it where to go with an app is really disappointing. Without that capability, this device just isn’t practical for my circumstances and becomes more trouble than it is worth. This mop would probably work fine unattended in areas that are fully enclosed and don’t have any obstacles in the way. But, in my case, the places I was trying to use this in were fully open areas of my home and I didn’t want this unit going through certain areas, so it had to be supervised. If you don’t mind this mopping with free rein throughout your home or if you have specific closed off areas you want to use this in, then it might actually save some time. Otherwise, I would definitely keep in mind the limitation that this cannot be programmed to go to specific rooms and/or avoid specific areas.

I have two dogs and a cat, and my wife has been at her wits end trying to keep the floors looking tolerable. We got this for two quick runs a week, and my wife only now does a deep mop once a month. She loves it. Mop works good. Picks up dog drool, stove spittings, and spills perfectly. We have a tiny house, so it does a great job. For added amusement, we put on disco music and watch the mop dance around the kitchen. Extremely entertaining. Hopefully Best Buy stocks replacement mop pads.

I'm a big Samsung fan. If there is a samsung version i try to buy it. I should be a tester for them lol. But this product has a few flaws. The water reservoir does not hold much water. If I put it on the 50 min run the water is out b4 the time ends (maybe sell a bigger size water reservoir). No matter what setting it is on it still misses some areas. There are pros and cons to the height. It doesnt get stuck under anything in my house! Lol but then it also doesnt go under some of the chairs or edges of walls. And for some reason it always ends up in my kitchen. I always start it in my kitchen. We have a curved island (open kitchen living and dining room) and it will go clean the kitchen sometimes it even leaves the kitchen b4 the kitchen is done but it will make a few swipes in the living room and then back to the kitchen. I have to block the sides of the island so it stays out or in the kitchen. One positive is we have stairs and it has not fell down them once. Also, when it cleans it gets the area clean.

I was excited to try out this Jetbot. I was left disappointed however. I have LVP flooring with lots of area rugs. While the Jetbot seemed to do a decent job of mopping the LVP (luxury vinyl planks), there was just too much preparation to make using this a hassle. Before using the Jetbot, you have to clear everything off of the floor, including area rugs. It will not avoid the rugs and will go right up onto them, getting them all wet and rubbing the dirty mops all over them. It's supposed to avoid rugs but it doesn't it goes over them every chance it gets. It's like it's drawn to them! Another down side is that it will often go over the same areas again and again, and never make it to other areas. For the amount of prep it takes to make this work, I need it to do the entire floor and it doesn't. One more downfall is that the reservoir is small and it uses plain water instead of the floor cleaner of your choosing. To sum it up, unless you have a small, empty room with hard floors, stay away from this Jetbot and get yourself a wet mop that you do yourself. There are some good ones out there. This isn't one of them.

This almost got 5 stars. It makes the floors much cleaner than when you started. The biggest downsize is setting up barriers to restrict the mop to where you want it to go, but after that it is almost all good. You have to keep the little 'eyes' clean so it will not tumble down steps. Occasionally it gets caught in some tight place it can not get out, but if that place gets extra clean, it is not a big deal. When it randomly goes around, it always seems to get the whole area it is supposed to be cleaning. The pads come clean in the clothes washer. It is very nice to accomplish other tasks while you are mopping the floor, even if that is drinking a cocktail. I generally make the pads quite moist, not just damp.

Works as it should not will go over carpet if you don’t put down a barrier. It cleans the floor decently. Nowhere near the scrubbing power as manually scrubbing, but it does a decent cleaning to increase the time between scrubbing. It’s not heavy so it doesn’t put a lot of pressure down to really scrub…

This is definitely a huge help fro busy working moms however; it has one downside ; when cleaning the tile floors (mine is Italian porcelain tile) it leave trace, really noticeable, so you need to dry it our after all. But for wooden floor it works for some reason.
