THE GOOD -Simple to use -No soap required -Detects stairs and ledges -Multiple cleaning modes -Doubles as wall scrubber THE BAD -Won't deep clean -Leaves streaks -Can get caught up on transition strips -Doesn't detect balusters or spindle-legged furniture well -Navigation not the most efficient -No dock, no automatic battery recharge -Could use more detailed documentation describing the cleaning modes THE BOTTOM LINE Though I was at first skeptical the Jetbot Mop would be able to clean floors very well, I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a relatively simple machine. It doesn't use a big water tank, it doesn't have any heating elements, and it doesn't steam clean your floor. It's essentially an autonomous wet washrag that wipes down your floor. And it does a surprisingly good job at it. The Jetbot has two contra-rotating discs on the bottom that are slightly angled so it rides on the outer edges. These act like wheels or tank treads, letting the machine move around. The mop heads stick to the bottom of the disc wheels using hook-and-loop and can be easily pulled off and tossed in the laundry when they're dirty. The Jetbot comes with two pairs of mop heads, one microfiber and one like a rag towel. Each "wheel" has a small water reservoir inside and a strip of fabric that acts like a wick. The wick slowly sucks water from the reservoir to keep the mop heads wet while in operation. It does not use soap of any kind ( and anyone with a carpet cleaner can tell you how expensive and tedious it can be buying manufacturer specific soap ). It has a basic IR remote for starting and stopping the cleaning mode, but it doesn't have WiFi, connected "smart home" functionality, or a mobile companion app. The Jetbot has various sensors on it allowing it to move about on its own, but it doesn't seem to have the sophisticated navigation system found on Samsung's nicer robot vacuums. It doesn't learn the layout of a room over time to find the most efficient route to clean it. More often than not it seems to just pinball around a room. It does have a variety of cleaning modes and patterns available, but the documentation doesn't do a good job explaining how those modes differ from another, or which ones are more useful in certain situations. A big plus is it can detect ledges on its own, so there's no worry it will take a tumble down the stairs. Spindle-legged furniture and railing balusters can throw it for a loop, and it doesn't have an easy time getting over thicker transition strips. When it's done cleaning ( the battery lasts about 50 minutes ) it will beep and stay where it is. The Jetbot doesn't have a cradle or battery dock to return to, which is understandable since you should remove the mop heads and clean then immediately when it's done ( you don't want wet mop heads growing mold while it recharges in a dock overnight ). The Jetbot does come with a tray it can sit in to keep the disc wheels off the countertop while charging, but I would have really liked some sort of charging cradle instead of just a wall wart. When not mopping, you can hold the Jetbot by the handle and use as a motorized scrubber for shower walls and bath tiles. Like most robot vacuum cleaners, the Jetbot is designed for daily light cleaning only. It does a great job at wiping away the small spills and sticky spots from day-to-day living. On my floors it does leave minor spiral streaks in its wake, but they're not too noticeable. If you need your floors completely scrubbed, disinfected, and shining, you'll need a regular mop or steamer. I find it nice in its simplicity as something that can help prevent the build-up of dirt and grime. You can run it every other day to keep your floors reasonably clean and then breakout the steam mop every other week when you need to.

Bought this with high expectations for a robot mop. Reviews were decent so figured we would give it a shot. Got it home and read you can only put water in the pad based. Who cleans floors with just water?! We have 3 kids and two dogs. We like our floor’s disinfected. Returned mop because we did want to void the warranty by using cleaning products in the pads.

We got our Samsung JetBot Mop last week and we are enjoying our new little friend. I have never had a mop bot of any type before, though I have some experience with some of the vacuum varieties. I don’t think this is the smartest bot I’ve ever used as we have had to rescue Benny (yes, my special lady friend calls it Benny or it’s full name, Benny and the JetsBot Mop) from getting stuck in a corner a couple times behind our DVD tower. Though it’s AI is decent, I definitely wouldn’t call it great. If that part were a little better I would give it 5 stars. As an actual mop, we are fans. We have a pet room with hardwood floors that gets very dirty very quickly. Setting Benny loose every day or two has been awesome. The Jetbot keeps the floors looking great. No issues with streaks or anything like that. The cats were a little annoyed at first, but they have accepted Benny into the pack and all is good on that front. Using the Jetbot mops is pretty simple. It’s basically just adding water or some solution to the pads, turn it on and set it loose. Keep it charged up and let Benny help you keep those floors clean. We have also used it on some Linoleum and tile with great results. I am super happy with my JetBot Mop and definitely would recommend it to a friend.

To start this puppy scrubs like it wants your entire floor to be safe to eat off of. From that perspective it reminds me of those crazy spot cleaners with the rotary scrubbing brushes that would just power off anything you needed cleaned. In this case, this guy is a little more mobile and in certain cases could probably provide you an absolutely amazing combo with a robotic vacuum. I'm thinking any house that has pure tile/solid surfaces, you'd run your robo vac and then this right after and it'd be a dream. The downside for anyone else is that this bot isn't meant for transitions. You need to have some way to block off other areas. In my case all the carpeted areas have doors so it's easy enough to keep it contained. From there it really is all about preparation. This isn't a set it and forget it type process, it can't memorize a map of the room, and it doesn't come back and charge itself. It wants you to clear the area of things like chairs before you use it also. After using it for a while, it's use case is very specific. It absolutely removes the need for me to sit around mopping my floors which I hate, but I've found my use of it needs to be as part of my cleaning routine aka I'm working on cleaning other stuff while it's running. Normal mopping I'd just move the chairs as I go but then I'm left with carting the mop across the house or using a bucket that I drag around. There's no denying that this is easier it's just I have to make sure I do everything prior before I use it. Thus I clear the chairs, get everything prepared, make sure it's charged, and then let it run while I clean the bathrooms. Come back and check on how it's progressed and if it's missed any areas and use the focused mode to take care of those. Overall it does remove the actual need to mop from my routine, but it does take more prep work and post work (plugging it back in, emptying it, removing the pads for next time, etc...) so in a time when we look to bots to make our lives easier, this one does it in one very specific way versus the multitude of others that other bots attempt to address but it does do its one job very well.

Mop was easy enough to setup first time, the directions could use a little more direction. There is no auto function or schedule feature to have the mop run w/o starting yourself like a Roomba etc. The mop requires a charge before the first use and recharge between cleans. You may need to monitor the room size to run the mop so it doesn't run out of water. My basement floor about 30x15 I think ran the mop out of water. The mop comes w/ two pad options (thicker and thinner nap for deeper or lighter cleaning0 I have only used on a ceramic tile floor and it worked ok. I tried to divide my rooms w/ a broom the next time and the mop jumped over it and got stuck. You have to unplug the mop before running and presoak the pads, then fill the mop reservoirs. YOu have to run the mop w/ a remote (on/off and select one of 4+ cleaning patterns) ONce you run it just check on it in an hour to make sure it's not stuck or out of water (or might be done) Then dump any remaining water and clean the pads for next use -- and plug in to recharge. All in all a good mop, but if you want an auto one that you can schedule for regular cleanings this is not the one.

I was so excited to get this robo mop. I hate mopping because I have to get the steam mop out, wrestle the pad on, fill it up and plug it in. I know that in the grand scheme of things, that is pretty simple but hey... I had such high hopes for this robo mop. After I ordered it, I thought of all the ways that it would help. I envisioned sparkling clean floors. When the mop arrived, I was excited. I took it out of the box to charge it. The box comes packed with the main body of the mop, a storage deck, and 2 mop cartridges that snap on to the bottom of the mop to which the pads velcro on. It has 2 different sets of pads. One is for more heavy duty cleaning. You need to wash the pads before using them. There is also a remote. After the machine was charged and the mop pads were washed, my daughter and I assembled the mop to use it for the first time. My daughter was perplexed that it didn't use any cleaner or steam. You just put water into the two mop cartridges, close the rubber stopper and snap them onto the bottom of the machine. The other thing we wondered about was how much of the floor could it possibly clean with such a little amount of water. It probably holds about 1/4 cup of wqter each. But we continued on. You need to soak the 2 pads and squeeze the excess water out. Then you velcro them to the bottom of the 2 cartridges. We set it on the floor and looked at the instructions. There are a variety of patterns to have it clean; Auto, Edge, Focus, Intensive, CO Pattern, Step, 50 Minutes and Manual. First, we tried the Edge pattern, hoping that it would mop the floor from corner to corner. First, it went one way, made a random turn, went the other way... I realized that this robo mop does not map out your floor and clean from corner to corner. I was becoming more disappointed by the minute with this mop. We tried Auto. This resulted in a crazy random pattern; go, turn, spin in a circle, zig-zag... But the mop never seemed to travel outside of a 5 foot area. We realized that there was a lot of water on the floor where we first started but a little farther on, the floor felt pretty dry. The water that the mop did put out was ice cold. And then it stopped. It made a series of chirps and wouldn't move again. Near as we could figure fro lm the lights on top, the battery had died. I had charged it for several days and had just unplugged it that morning. Overall, I am very disappointed in this mop. I had such high hopes but they fell flat. Basically, you have a mop that runs random circles around the room and wets the floor with soaked mop pads supplemented with a small amount of water from the cartridges. If you are looking for a robo mop that will map your floors and keep them sparkling and sanitary, keep looking. This mop is not it. I'm going back to my steam mop.

Samsung Jetbop Mop Included- 1 robotic mop, floor plate, 1 refillable water supply mop kit, 1 set yarn mop, 1 set microfiber mop, 1 remote control with batteries included, 1 power adapter, silcone brush, quick start guide Once the Jetbop mop is unpacked, remove the protective film that wraps around the mop, fully charge your mop and wash your mop pads in the washing machine. After you're all set to start mopping, choose what mops will work best for the job. The yarn (gray) is 100x thicker than the microfiber so it works great for dust and picking up spills. The microfiber (green) has longer yarns and is best for superior wiping performance. Rinse the mops under water, wring them out and then attach them by velcro to the water supply mop kit. There is a green rubber cap you pull open so you can fill it with water. The mop has to be used with water and only water, no cleaning solutions and not dry. I used distilled water because I feel that's best for appliances but it wasn't recommended in the manual. It would have also been nice if they included a little cup with spout to pour the water because it's a small shallow opening. So I used the cup from my iron and it worked handy. Close the rubber cap and gently press the mop kit down onto the bottom of the mop unit. They will click into place. Hold down the power button until it beeps and the light stays on. That light will also indicate its battery level. Yellow is low, blue is medium and if it's off it's a full battery. I do find that somewhat confusing and wish there was another color to indicate it's full. It's also hard to tell when it's fully charged because nothing is blinking or lit when it's in charging mode or at full capacity when it's plugged in. Once the Jetbop mop is turned on, then use the included remote to start cleaning. There are 8 different modes- auto, edge, focus, intensive, pattern 8, step, 50 min and manual. While the mop is being used, the same LED light/button is also an indicator for the unit. The blue blinking light means the mops needs to be changed and the water needs to be refilled. The yellow light means the battery needs to be recharged. If there is a blinking yellow light, the mop needs to be checked for obstacles or foreign objects in the mop. If there is a blinking red light, turn off the mop and restart it. If it persists, that's bad news and it will need to be taken to a Samsung service center. If your mop hasn't been used for 5 minutes, it will automatically turn off. After 50 min of clean time, the mop will stop and sound an alarm to alert you to add more water. But it's recommended to recharge the unit and replace the mops with new clean ones for a better result. I have a 6 year old home, with an open concept main level. We have tile in our mudroom hardwood floors in the kitchen/eating area and foyer and some carpet in our family room. The Jetbop cannot tell a difference of height less than 50mm- which roughly equals 2 inches. So it frequently goes over into our carpeted area which seamlessly transitions from our hardwood floors and then we have to restart it or we have to made a barricade so that it can't go over there. It ran over one of my accent rugs but went around another. The noise level was better than expected. It's much quieter than our Roomba, which I really appreciate so it can run while we're up and watching TV or something. The remote is very basic so it would be great if they upgrade that to something more digital where you can read and see the functions and indicators, instead of having so many lights and a key to refer to. I'd imagine they will also need to step up and make this Jetbop mop "smart" so that it can be run on your phone/ipad and not a remote to really compete with it's competitors. It would be be helpful if it was programmable. The Jetbop mop has some room for improvement. I'd like to see the mop kit hold more water so the refills happen less often. I'd like to see a digital screen or remote to help with indicator lights, battery level and cleaning modes. It's hard to tell what's going on or what the charging status is. I'm more indifferent about the "smart" capabilities but I know that is now expected of everything and would be a great selling point. I also think the sensors needs to be improved so height differences are more easily detected so it can't run onto carpet. I don't think most carpet is 2" higher than other flooring so it will pose a problem for most people. I ok with the size of the unit. I was expecting something quite large and this is alright. It's about 12" wide, 5 1/2" deep and about 4" tall. It's also lightweight at about 3 1/2 pounds. The Samsung Jetbop mop is good for a partial, midweek cleaning. It won't be great for a weekly deep cleaning, because it will not cover 100% of your area, but it's great if you need a light dusting or mopping. It's helpful to set it and do most of the work for you. It's quiet enough to run while you're in the room. Just be realistic with your expectations of the mop since it won't be as good as if you do it yourself but the convenience of the Jetbop is nice.

I was really looking forward to getting this mop. I feel that when you get a Samsung product you’re eager to see just how good it works. This completely missed the mark for me. Scanning the QR code is the best way to get started, and get directions. Setup was very easy. Unfortunately this is not an WiFi enabled device. You can’t program it to run on a schedule, or even set it up to stay out of certain rooms. That was a big negative for me. It comes with a remote but no smart features. You can’t stop it from going into a certain room, you almost have to baby sit it. If you have any stairs this is not the product to leave unattended. I have a split level home and it tumbled right down the stairs. It mops up pretty well. There are 2 different scrubbing pads included. One scrubs, and the other one pretty much shines. Another con- you can’t use any detergent with it only use water for the scrubbing pads. I like my floors to smell nice it would have been good to be able to use detergents. It’s a decent product, but it lacked much needed features. I felt that hand mopping would have been better.

The Samsung Jetbop Mop does a good job on the floors. The instructions could be better. Once you get it going though it does a good job cleaning. The water tanks are small. My kitchen/dining area that I use it on is small enough that the tanks are enough for my floor without refilling. The instructions say to only use water in them, so if you want to use a cleaner or vinegar you have to put that on the mopheads. The mopheads need to be dampened before using or they can cause static. It does not move from its dock or dock itself. You have to lift and place it where you want it to start and lift and place it back on its dock when finished. This is not a mop you want to run while not at home leaving wet mopheads to sit on the floor. When placing it to mop the floor, you must put it down before pushing the power button or it will be in "handy" mode and won't mop the floor since Handy mode is to make it a handheld for cleaning tables, windows, what have you. The remote will not power on the mop. You can set the pattern of mopping you want or control the movement, but to power on the mop you have to bend to the floor to push the power button. Having washable, reusable mopheads is great along with the option of two types of mopheads to choose from. This mop has a lot going for it, but there is so much that it could have done better so I'm giving it 3 stars.

I was a little skeptical with this product at first, but cleaning my laminate flooring by hand all the time is not at the top of my list of fun things to do. So I gave it a shot. I tried about 4 or 5 different modes out of the 8, but seemed to always go back to the 50 minute mode walk away and come back in an hour. It did a great job of cleaning and the pads seems to be durable and easy to clean. I usually run it on two 50 minute modes in my ranch style home and that’s it. I don’t have any pets, so I can’t tell how or if that effects the cleaning. I am very impressed with its thorough cleaning and would recommend to others. Pros: Easy to set up out of the box. Easy to fill water reservoirs. Durable and easy to clean pads. Cleans extremely well for this small unit. I like the edge cleaning it does. Cons: it doesn’t go back to it’s home or docking station on it’s own to charge like my BoB. I wish the reservoirs were a little bit larger so they could hold more water and cover more area.

We have been using the Samsung Jetbot Mop all over the house. Just bought a house that has all hard flooring and it is so nice to let this guy go to mop things up. Setting up the Samsung Jetbot is super easy. It does a great job cleaning with JUST water. At first, I thought it would need some cleaning solution, but the water and scrubbing pads do a great job at cleaning. There are different modes you can set it to which is nice depending on what your cleaning needs are. Oh and battery life is good too! If you have an area rug or some other kind of floor mat, it will try to clean over that as well. So, if you have a lot of rugs or mats on your hardwood you might want to consider that before purchasing. Overall, the Jetbot is a great, reliable addition to your cleaning arsenal.
