I went to Best Buy because their online computer said that they had both the Tab S3 and KB at the store. Not so, so after buying the S3, I ordered it from another company for next day delivery. I am very happy with it. The keys have a good, clean feel to them and the spacing is adequate so that I'm not stumbling over multiple key presses when stabbing at a key. The magnets hold the S3 firmly in place and in the month that I've had it, there has been no slippage. I have no problem with flipping the case open and holding onto the tablet for reading, etc. with the KB then on the back. When the tablet is in being used as a small lap top, the S3 engages, and stays put, very well to the case. And, I like that it is powered by the tablet - no separate battery to charge. Since the S3, unlike the Note series phones, does not allow internal storage of the pen, I like that there is a holder on the case. Personally, I'd rather see a slip cover/pocket for the pen, instead of it dangling from the case as it does - if you put the tablet into a backpack, the pen can get tangled with items in the pack. The only other downside I have with the case is that even though there is an outline for a cutout for the camera lens, it is not punched out. So, you have to remove the S3 from the case to use the camera. Therefore, I find my phone much more convenient for taking pictures. I am really tempted to take a jewelers' saw and cut out the area marked for the cutout. But, maybe there are some electronics running through there. Anyone have an x-ray machine. :) I've seen some people down rating the KB/case because of the color. This seems rather silly to me. If you don't like the color, don't buy it. If you do buy it, how does the color affect its usefulness?

I purchased this upon the launch of the Tab S3 in hopes I would find a use case scenario for it. Ended up returning it for the folio case. First off I wasn't a huge fan on the color option. The typing experience is not very fulfilling. Typing in your lap is quite cumbersome and to me just felt pointless considering the ways I tend to use tablets. Cramped keys and a ridiculously small shift key on the right side make its form factor hard to justify for the price. I mainly wanted a case for some protection and while this offers some I found myself wanting to just remove it instead of folding it back and holding on to the keys. They are obviously inactive when holding the Tablet this way but it still just adds some unneeded bulk to an otherwise slim piece of tech. Unless you have a specific need for this I would look into other options before dumping the $. For those of you thinking that the regular folio case doesn't have a way to hold the S pen you will be happy to know that the magnets on the front of the folio case hold it nicely in place. Better than the loop ring provided with the keyboard case. If you need a keyboard that badly using a wireless makes much more since imho.

I bought this keyboard case when I purchased my S3 -- I really hate "swipe" typing and needed a tactile keyboard. But this overpriced case is not what I wanted. The positives are that it is protective, well put-together, holds the tablet well with decent magnets and gives me a place to holster the S-pen (which, really, should have been designed into the tablet itself). The chiclet-type keys have a decent tactile feel. It makes for a nice tripod stand to prop up the tablet on my nightstand. The negatives: although most of the time it snaps into place with the connectors on the bottom of the tablet, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to make the connection. When it is connected it isn't super sturdy and makes for a poor laptop substitute. Unless it's sitting on a solid table or desk it's extremely hard to use normal typing on, and I end up using the hunt and peck method -- which isn't much better than swipe typing. When an app forces the tablet into portrait mode I turn the tablet at an angle so I can read the information on the screen while still typing on the keyboard. I guess this is more an Andriod issue -- it shouldn't allow apps to dictate, only suggest, the orientation of the screen. This biggest negative of all: this thing is overpriced -- even at it's current sale price (I bought it for the original $130).

My first tablet and it seemed like holding a pane of glass. I was seriously concerned about it slipping out of my hands. I considered a cheap generic case but I touch type so I like a real keyboard. Since this is made for the TABS3 it just grabs on magnetically to the TAB and pins on the keyboard mate up with the tablet when you stand it up. By it's self, It adds almost nothing to the overall size, maybe a bit over a 1/4 inch. I did go buy a cheap generic padded case and threaded a cord though it's spine that I can throw over my shoulder so I can carry it all hands free. I wouldn't trust this to protect the TAB from a drop, but it makes dropping less likely and the keyboard is the big deal. When I lay in bed it holds the tab up and I use the SPen to play on the screen. Hands free no cramps. Considering all I had just spent on the tablet and stuff I bought that required the tablet it was a bit of a stretch to go for the keyboard but I'm glad I did.

Made for to the Tab S3, it tuns the tablet into an android 2 in 1. The keyboard has a good feel to it and even works with my large hands. With its magnetic cover, the Tab S3 attaches on and off almost automaticlly. You have to take Tab off the case to use the rear facing camera. The Tab S3 is pretty slick to hold, folding the keyboard over backwards feels comfortable to hold so the only time I remove it from the case is to take a photo with the rear camera, which is seldom. It has a looped attachement for the Tab's S Pen that is stuck to a designated spot on the bottom of the keyboard by some sort of stickum glue on the loop attachment. I wasn't sure how that would hold up, but so far so good (after the 1st month). I did clamp the loop after attaching it for several hours before use and it is holding tight so far. It is convient to have the S Pen with the case at all times. It is pretty expensive for a case $140, but I bought it on a Best Buy sale for $75 and feel like that is a very good value.

Perfect fit for my S3 Tablet, but a few bugs...

First, the good: This case fits my S3 snug as a bug, I feel confident in its ability to protect the tablet from light hits and possibly drops, and I now love the keyboard after taking a few days to get used to it. Now the not so good: The biggest issue is that sometimes when I'm typing papers for 30+ minutes, the keyboard will spazz out and my text is nonsensical (switching to all caps, attempting to select other languages, not typing some letters while repeating others); the only way I've found to fix it is to disconnect the keyboard, then reconnect it again. Like others, I'm a little disappointed in the pen holder on the top of the case and feel it could have been done better. The case also has no closure to keep it secured, so you have to be sure it doesn't flap open when you're moving it around. In all, I highly recommend this case for S3 Galaxy tablets, but recognize a few flaws that keep it from being perfect.

Let me start by saying that I use this tablet primarily for reading and occassional browsing or other minor tasks. As such, the keyboard is secondary to my use. However, when I actually want or need to use a keyboard for input, this case serves my needs well. The case uses magnets to attach the back of the Tab Pro 3. Initially I felt uneasy about the tablet just "sticking" to the case without any other attachment. Over a short amount of time with use, I'm comfortable with this approach. I sometimes use a small phone stand when sitting at a table to read material in portrait mode. Surprisingly, the thickness of tablet with the keyboard folded behind actually fits within the phone stand. The case does not allow the tablet's camera to be used - at all. If this is important, it may not be the case for you. Samsung provides a separate holder for the pen that attaches directly to the underside of the keyboard portion of the case - which is the front cover. No problems with this yet - but I'm pretty careful with packing and storing the tablet for travel. Time will tell when there's more miles of use. Overall, this may not be the perfect tablet for some, but for my use, it's quite good.

This case/keyboard combination was an impulse purchase at the time we bought the Tab S3. It was on sale at the time, which made the purchase a no-brainer. Since getting it home and using it now for a few weeks, I must admit it was an excellent decision and worth every penny of it's normal selling price of about $150. The keys have a great feel to them and they do not make the case aspect of the product too bulky or cumbersome when using the Tab S3 in tablet mode. The keyboard connects to the tablet via built in connectors that attach quickly and easily. When the keyboard is connected to the tablet, a very functional stand and position is established that is great when working on a table, but is sometimes uncomfortable when placed in my lap. However, I have large hands and arms and I suspect that smaller individuals may not experience this limitation. Net of all this, I like it and highly recommend it.

I bought this at the same time I purchased my S3 in order to make my tablet more of a true work tool. It's a nice case, has protected my tablet from the one tumble its had off my night stand, and doesn't add too much weight keeping the entire unit thin. The keyboard keys have a nice tactile response and much nicer than typing on a screen. The holster for the S Pen is a nice touch too. The drawbacks are it does feel weird the first few times you fold the case over when using the tablet in portrait mode but you do get past it. When gaming in Landscape the S Pen in the holster can get in the way but its certainly a first world problem. When watching something while lying down, the screen angle isn't always optimal and it did take me a couple of days to not "fat finger" the typing on a truncated keyboard. Despite these minor things it is a great case and very nice to type on. If you're looking to make your tablet a work tool its certainly the way to go.

One of the Best Mobile Keyboards

As far as mobile keyboards go, this is one of the best I've used. The keys are well-spaced and have a good amount of travel. The case adds some bulk to the tablet, but it also feels sturdy and protective. The case sticks to the tablet using internal magnets, so it's as thin as it can be. The magnets seem to hold it well, and it makes it easy to remove the tab whenever you need to. It comes with a stick-on stylus holder that you can elect to mount or not mount onto the case. Since there's no place in the tablet to hold the stylus this is a welcome feature. My only real complaint is that every time I use the number keys I hit the screen, too.

Save your money until an updated version comes out. Even then, wait. I got this on a half price, price match sale. I still overpaid. The keyboard isn't backlit, which I knew. I thought that would be okay. It wasn't. I love how the magnet keeps the Tab S3 in place (most of the time). Many times when I attach the S3 to the keyboard, the tablet keyboard remains on the screen rather than have it fall away. It's frustrating! The punctuation isn't automatically inserted using the keyboard. For example, tapping twice on the space button doesn't put a period at the end of a sentence, you have to put that in manually. Things I type always look like a long, run on sentence. The tab for the pen is attached with adhesive, so it's a matter of time before it comes off. I wanted to like this so very much. There are other keyboard cases I should have looked at more closely.

This case is pretty handy in a lot of ways and I have found the keyboard easy to use both in its size and responsiveness. Though there are some limitations as mentioned in previous posts, the main reason I would give this case 4-stars is the lack of a rear camera hole when one is clearly described in the user guide. Yes, the tablet can be easily removed, but it seems that someone at Samsung intended there to be camera access when the case was in use, but that was not communicated to the design department. I have read about others trying to get the case replaced by Samsung due to the lack of a camera hole only to receive another case with the same problem - save yourself the trouble and just accept that this feature is missing, or buy a different keyboard case from another manufacturer.

Better a Keyboard Than a Case

I purchased this at the same time I purchase the Galaxy Tab S3 as I wanted to have a case to accompany the tablet. I figured a keyboard would certainly be a nice addition, and it is. My issue with this product though is that when the case is completely folded back and you're holding the tablet, you're also pressing buttons on the keyboard. Granted, the keyboard isn't connected to the tablet in this position, it is weird pressing in all the keys while holding the tablet. If you are a constant user of the keyboard I'm sure this is an issue that is easily overlooked, but to a user who wants more of a case I don't feel this is easy to overlook. That said, The keyboard is very nice and the connection to the tablet works very well, too.

This keyboard cover works well for the new tablet. It uses magnets to attach to the rare of the device. A few weird things- it does NOT smart regulate the screen. You still need to turn the screen off with the button when you use this tablet. Also, when using the screen in portrait mode, you can feel the keys on your fingers when they are behind the tablet although they DO NOT engage until they are locked in landscape "stand" position. The device does NOT use bluetooth which I think is good! Yet to see how much of a battery drain it is on the tablet, but doesn't seem to be too bad...

The Tab S3 is a relatively small tablet so any keyboard designed to be a case is going to be a bit small. I have long fingers and small hands, so the size isn't a challenge for me. However, since Android supports mice, I really wish the keyboard had a trackpad. I use a Bluetooth mouse with it and it's fine, but it would be one less thing to carry around. They could have made the keyboard with a wrap-around flap where the trackpad could have gone and this would have been much better. But as a small keyboard, it's handy but definitely overpriced. Don't buy this unless it's on sale or you're really determined to have a keyboard case. Do note that it is not a protective case. If you drop it, it's going to pop out and get damaged.

Good Keyboard Case - Only for Typing Purposes

This keyboard does its job for document authoring and other keyboard intensive tasks. The attachment is straightforward and pairing is painless. The keys are sized and spaced sufficiently for typing. There is also an attachment loop for the pen. On that note, it must be emphasized that this case is strictly for typing tasks. It is probably advisable to have another case for 'other than typing' tasks as the case blocks the rear camera, is fixed in landscape orientation at one angle, is not easily held up for reading. Overall the case does its job of providing a good typing experience and protecting the tablet when not in use but as mentioned earlier is only good for that purpose.

I received this keyboard case for free as a promotional item when I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, but it would have been worth every penny if I had purchased it separately. It securely attaches to the tablet and offers good protection as a case and is very easy to convert to a keyboard and tablet stand. The connectors on the side of the table make connection simple and quick and you never have to worry about plugging in the keyboard to charge as it is powered by the tablet. No more intermittent bluetooth connection. The keyboard layout is tight, but that is to be expected with a tablet keyboard. I haven't had any issues at all. Keystrokes are precise. The case also comes with a convenient loop to hold your Samsung S Pen.

This keyboard is a great addition to the Galaxy Tab S3, that does not require pairing, the pin connection is fantastic. The problem I encountered was the useless language key next to the space bar and my large hands (long thin fingers, not fat hands). Many times I would attempt to hit the space bar and I'd hit that key. This was a hassle when typing documents quickly because there would be a lot of locations where words were not spaced. The keyboard is expensive and the auto wake/sleep didn't work for me. I ended up returning it, but it may work well for someone with smaller hands.

Pro: As a hybrid cover and keyboard all in one, it is okay. It protects the Tab S3 really well, and the keyboard is convenient for quick email responses or other works that need typing a lot. Unlike some other reviews, I personally like the language button to switch between input languages, which I frequently use. In addition, the S Pen holder on the side is quite useful. Con: The keys are too small and always making a typo. It is also overpriced at 130. Although I got that with 50% off, still doesn't feel like it completely worth. Sometime I have to detach the device if I don't need the keyboard, since it is a bit bothering if you use it as a plain tablet.

This keyboard for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is easy to use other than the very top row, where the numbers are. In order to fit all the keys in on that row everything is shifted to the left slightly, making it VERY difficult for a touch typist to use without looking at the keyboard. I continually have to backup and look down at the keyboard to use the top row of characters. Key travel is good, not great, but good, feedback is okay as well. I wish this cover would turn-off the tablet when closed like the non-keyboard cover does, this is an annoyance, and I have to remember to push the power button when using this cover.
