I looked at many reviews before the purchase from many sites. Although many stated if they knew it didn't have a heating element that they would not have bought it. My experience is that they are wrong. Maybe they didn't properly install or level the dishwasher. I think I did a better job installing myself than previous installation of another dishwasher by a "professional". I followed the instructions and all works great even after a month and a half of use to include two major Holidays. I've used the Quick wash, Regular, Heavy and just the bottom portion of the dishwasher. All worked great and properly dried. Other people complained about not drying or being noisy. Not true. Once again probably incorrect installation and/or incorrect use on their part.

I bought this dishwasher as part of a remodeling kitchen project. I wanted all the appliances to match. My old dishwasher was a Bosch and it was still in absolute mint condition after almost 10 years. I am so disappointed I made this purchase. First, I removed the third rack as it is useless and cumbersome. It does not dry anything made out of plastic well. All of the cycles are extremely long (over 2 hours). Even the quick wash is an hour. I also have a long line of discoloration halfway down the door. It does not come off with any product. A year and a half after purchase, I started to get an LC error which is a leak detection. The machine shuts down and beeps until you turn off the breaker. We checked the dishwasher and there is no leak. We live in Florida, so it is very humid and believe this to be the cause of the LC light going off. We took the dishwasher out of the cabinet and took a blow dryer to the sensor in order to fix. It did the trick for about a day, and the LC code is back again. Obviously, out of warranty so haven't decided yet if this is even worth fixing. I want my Bosch dishwasher back!

My family recently moved into a new house that included older but very high end-appliances. However, shortly after repiping the house, we had issues with the dishwasher and was able to purchase a Samsung dishwasher through The Insiders program. We selected the Samsung Top Control Dishwasher with Waterwall Technology to replace it. We couldn’t be more pleased.
Samsung is our 3rd brand and high-end dishwasher in the past five years. At our previous house, we had installed a very nice stainless steel dishwasher. Between my experience with the three separate brands, Samsung is by far the best.
Appearance:
First and foremost, it is a very nice looking appliance. We went with the black stainless steel model since our existing appliances were black, and it would be a closer match. I couldn’t be more pleased. I love the look, and it does not spot up like our previous brand’s stainless steel model. We used to shine our dishwasher after every two uses, after three weeks and several cycles a week, we have yet to clean the dishwasher, and it still looks as if it has never been used.
Noise Level:
Samsung advertises this as a low noise (42 dBa) model. Our previous model was rated at 47 dBa, so apparently, there is a huge difference in 5 dBA because you can barely hear the Samsung dishwasher unless you put your ear to it while it is in running. We no longer have to set our dishwasher to run at 2 am in order to keep it from being an inconvenience.
Cleaning Performance:
The dishwasher cleans amazingly. You have the ability to select specific areas to deep clean with Zone Booster or vary the level for the entire cycle. I have found that it cleans all of our dishes great on the Normal cycle. With kids, we do end up with a lot of lunch containers covered in peanut butter, in those cases, the heavy cycle works better, or just take a minute to do a pre-rinse in the sink before you add it.
AutoRelease Door Drying:
This is one of my favorite features. The door automatically opens about 10 minutes before the cycle completes to aid in the drying process. This helps with the energy efficiency, but it has also helped keep our glasses and dishes free from spots. A side bonus…no more wondering if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or not.
Overall, my family and I could not be more impressed with this dishwasher, and it has truly made our lives easier. I guess the third time is a charm…Thanks, Samsung!

In a family of 5, we generate a great deal of dirty dishes, with varying degrees of filthiness (From very filthy to extremely filthy). Our old dishwasher which came with the house as the builder installed appliance was just not cutting it. The Samsung Top Control Dishwasher with Waterwall is handling everything we throw at and then some. 1. Overall Cleaning Power The dishes that we are washing usually have some bad caked on grime, and so far the waterwall technology is taking care of that perfectly. We also used to have some issues with water spots. The glassware that we are running through is coming out crystal clear. 2. Noise Level This thing is so quiet that when it was first installed, I wasn't even sure it was on. I had to open it and make sure there was water splashing around in there. Compared to my older dishwasher it's like night and day. Almost completely silent. 3. Aesthetics It looks amazing; it blends in perfectly with the rest of my kitchen. The soft blue light that emanates from the handle area when it's running looks really cool.. high tech. The finish screams quality. The wash tub is also stainless steel, which is a really nice addition and also speaks to the level of quality when it comes to materials. 4. Features The features of this dishwasher really set it apart from the other brands. When a wash cycle is completed, it opens the door to air dry the dishes, and does a great job of drying. The top rack adjusts up and down to make room which is a great feature to have for when you wish to wash tall cups or large pots/pans. The silverware racks have slots for individual silverware, which leads to cleaner silverware. The slots also flip up to put whatever else you need to fit into the silverware racks. There are varying wash modes, all of which seem to do a great job. The flex zone feature is great if you have a really badly soiled load of dishes to do, but not enough to fill the whole washer. It concentrates the water pressure on the waterwall (bottom part) which really does an amazing job of un-gunking dishes. If you, like me have had issues with builder supplied appliances that are just not cutting it, and need something with a lot more power, or if you are just looking for a feature filled and beautiful appliance, I highly recommend the Samsung Top Control Dishwasher with Waterwall.

When my dishwasher was delivered, there was minor surface rust on the door. Luckily I was able to clean it off. I installed the dishwasher myself since installation wasn't included. The installation instructions were very vague. Since I have quartz counter-tops, I had to screw the dishwasher into the cabinets on the side. The instructions do not tell you that you have to take the top mount brackets, cut them, and install them where you screw into the cabinets. I had to google it to find out. You will need to purchase a hose clamp to attach the discharge hose onto the garbage disposal. The install kit doesn't come with one either.
Now for the review:
The dishwasher is quite silent. It's not as quiet as I've read for other reviews where people said they had to open it to make sure it was running. You can definitely hear it running. It is quiet enough where it won't drown out a conversation or if you're watching television. It cleans dishes well. I just wish it had a soft food grinder. I bought a cheap $200 Whirlpool years ago and I was able to put dishes with food particles still on them with no problem. I like how the door cracks open to aid with drying. The jingle it plays when finished might get annoying after a while. I will google how to turn it off.
Also, the salesperson claimed all Samsung appliances are made in South Korea. This is false. The dishwasher is built in Thailand.

Prior to this upgrade, we had a horrendous LG model which not only didn't clean, but didn't dry. My parents had some bogus Sears home warranty -- which, to my understanding meant that you paid $75 to have them come look at your item, they fix it if they can, and if they can't they'll give you $500 towards a new one with Sears. Anyhow, it was a lame warranty, so twice we had them come and check out the dishwasher and bless their hearts they tried to fix it twice, but it didn't work. So we washed our hands clean of that one. Got this new one and holy cow! How good life can be when dishes are actually clean and dry! The dishwasher does open after the cycle to help drying. My only complaint is my -- ditzy (and I say that lovingly, of course!) -- mother manages to lock the control panel frequently, whether the dishwasher is too easy to lock ( you hold down one button for three seconds and it locks the control panel ) or she's just distracted is contestable. But it's such an easy fix. Love, love, love this powerful, quiet, new dishwasher! Plus the chime is so dang pleasing!

So far, so good. I have only run it 3 times, though It was delivered on Nov 7. It is so.roomy and I like the adjustable top shelf so that even my tallest soup pot fits in the bottom. What amazes me the most, is how quiet it is; Each time I have used it, I keep checking to make sure it is on. The dishes come out spotless. Not so pleased with 3 weeks of trying to get it installed properly. Between the B.B. reps and the dispatch reps, it is hard to say who needs the most retraining in customer service. I recommend the dishwasher, though.

Amazingly quiet dish washer!!

Let me start off by saying that this dish washer is gorgeous and that blue glow in the front, that's not just for looks. It is so quiet, without that glowing blue light in the front, you would be hard pressed to tell if it was actually running or not. The first time I used this dish washer, I opened it maybe 3-4 during a wash cycle just to make sure that it was actually running, it's just that quiet. Before I got this, I used to only run my old one in the mornings as I left for work so that I wouldn't have to listen to it while I was home during the day or night and forget about even thinking about running it while I was trying to sleep, that just wasn't going to happen. This one though, doesn't matter when I run it because I can't hear it. It's amazing.
Unlike my old dish washer, this one is stainless steel, so yup, you guessed it, it's a finger print magnet. Thanks to this I've had to learn new ways to clean in order to get the fingerprints off of it. I guess it's just one of the joys of owning stainless steel appliances.
I simply love the way the silverware tray is designed. No more having to try to set my silverware in the tray while keeping them from sticking together (think spoon on spoon). With this tray setup, no silverware comes into contact with each other. There's plenty of space so that each one will get fully cleaned.
The rinse only feature is nice. If I know I won't be washing dishes that day and I don't want food mess to get caked onto the dishes, I just run the rinse only feature to get the food stuff off the dishes so that I don't have to worry about pre-rinsing every dish before it goes into the dish washer.
If I find that I am washing dishes with some food stuff already caked on, I then turn to the zone booster to add a little extra power to wash some of my dishes.
There is one feature I'm sure is split between those that like it and those that hate it. That's would be the fact that this dish washer has no dry heating element. Yup, this dish washer only air dries. Although it does have an auto open door feature that helps with speeding up dry time. It also has a little fan that blows to help keep the steam from rising directly onto the counter-top above it. Personally I love this feature as I always air dried my dishes with my old dish washer anyways instead of using the heating element. By the way, there is a way to disable the auto door open feature in case it is not wanted.
Another feature I like is the timer countdown. No more guessing how long until the dishes are done.
All in all, so far I really like the looks and cleaning power of this dish washer and am glad I got a chance to try it out.

Excellent dishwasher. We forget it's running because it's so quiet. We love the way the dishes are arranged in it, and it cleans beautifully. The black stainless is gorgeous. We got all black stainless appliances and love the look. They don't show fingerprints (well, unless your hands already have food or butter on them!).

This thing cleans very well, it definitely does its job. when it is on you can barely hear it I mean everything else in the room has to be off for this thing to be heard. The cycle times are a little long and I think that it should have a small rack up top for ling utensils but this isn't that big of a deal overall it works great.

My husband and I looked all over for a quiet efficient dishwasher. We finally settled on this model. It is very quiet I give it a thumbs up for cleaning. My only complaint is that the interior seems to be small. Cookie sheets are too tall for the blades.

Would have rated higher, but we had issues with the delivery and poor customer service from Appliance Manager. Besides that, the Dishwasher works very nice. It’s quiet and really cleans our dishes without leaving food or water stains. We will update our review if anything changes since we’ve only had it for two weeks.

Everyone comments on how great it looks and the long blue light is just perfect and easily tell it's running (because you likely WON'T be able to hear it). Installation was easy and well designed and much easier than my 10 year old Jenn-Aire that just died. Happy that I chose this unit based on online recommendations rather than the in-store salesperson whom didn't seem to care for the rack arrangement to others. We also have even more capacity inside that expected and from the older one removed even though they were the same external dimensions
