This is nice and loud, having it plug makes it louder and having with only battery reduces it a bit but it does last over 4hrs playing it loud, its a good buy

I have had the JBL partybox and just recently purchased the Samsung MX-ST50B. The quality is so much better in the Samsung. Definitely worth the money!!

I love the brand an its a great speaker my my samsung freestyle projector to watch movies an the bass makes my room rumble if loud enough the app is so so but otherwise its great

You will need to make sure that your device volume is all the way up. The volume of your Sound Tower is separate from that of your device. If your phone for example is set too low, then no matter how loud you make the Sound Tower, it will not produce enough volume on its own.

I purchased this item ONLINE as an “OPEN BOX in EXCELLENT CONDITION”. Transaction was completed and I was notified that it was being shipped. Upon arrival, the item was not as described. It was not shipped in the original box, it was only wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic wrap (not box or styrofoam protection), and it was MISSING the owners manual, remote control, and power cord. How is BEST BUY going to falsely describe an item online as being in EXCELLENT CONDITION / GEEK SQUAD CERTIFIED . . . And I don’t even have the factory accessories to see how this unit performs?!? I contacted customer service (I am a TOTAL Member) and was told to take the item to my local store to do one of three things. 1. I couild complete a no questions asked even exchange for the exact same unit 2. I could have that store “supply me” with an owners manual, replacement remote control, and replacement power cord or 3. Return the item for a refund. I went to my local store and was immediately told that it “was not there fault that items were missing” and that they would NOT switch it out for another one, I could contact SAMSUNG directly and purchase a remote and power cord from them (and BEST BUY would not cover the payment for it), or I could just return the item. I was so frustrated that no one would address the issue that the item was not as described and was missing items but yet no one was willing to take ownership and get me the parts needed for the item to work. I never got to power on or test out the unit. The 1 star is not for this speaker / device. I am sure it is a great sounding speaker . . . The 1 star is for the lackluster product description for an open box item, packed and shipped poorly, and zero accountablily and lack of ownership in Best Buy making their wrongs . . . RIGHT. The worst customer service and shopping experience I have ever encountered and I am a Total Membership subscriber that pays an annual subscription for elevated perks. What a joke to anyone purchasing an open box item. If I could give zero stars I would have.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience with the MX-ST50B Sound Tower did not match your expectations.
When the Sound Tower is connected to a Samsung TV via Bluetooth, it can be controlled using the TV’s user interface. This includes adjusting the volume, muting, and turning the power on or off.
Here are the steps for easy connection with a Samsung TV in “SEARCHING TV” mode:
Press and hold the “Source” button on the remote control or the top panel of the Sound Tower. This action initiates a search for available Samsung TVs. If the Samsung TV supports easy connection, a connection popup will appear on the TV screen. If the TV has been previously connected to the Sound Tower, it will automatically establish the connection. If the Sound Tower cannot find any Samsung TV within 5 minutes, it will exit the “SEARCHING TV” mode and switch to “BT PAIRING” mode. However, if any Samsung TV is detected during the search, the Sound Tower will prompt for connection.
