There were about five dead pixels on the monitor. However, they were near the top and mostly not visible within common viewing angles, so I decided it was not worth packing it back up and returning. What upset me the most though was the laziness that went into repacking and inspecting the open box item. When I openeded the box, the monitor was not inside of its protective sheath. Instead, the sheath was crumpled up and stuffed in the bottom of the box. Very disappointing, especially considering the cost of this item. This was my first ever open box purchase, and I will not be purchasing open box again.

If you don’t know already there are some flickering problems that are common and other issues. That being said the gaming experience and beauty of This monitor is like nothing else on the market.

A big improvement from the previous models. Highly recommended.

Nice screen but the Oled model is better, lighter and has a nicer HDR look

Amazing monitor, period. If you are looking for a premium monitor for gaming or work, this display doesn't disappoint. It's huge on your desk, however, so heads up on that.

Love it. Was already up to date software and firmware wise. Too heavy for the desk mounts i already had so i had to stick with the stand it came with.

Fantastic, and works great for gamijg or work. The abilty to see 180 degress in gaming, and having two seamless 27 inch screens whwn working. Yes please !!!

Went from a curved monitor to an ultrawide. People complain about dead pixels and such and im a satisfied customer!

Great monitor for a computer that can handle 4K. This was a replacement for my initial purchase from Samsung that took a dump after a month. New one is going well so far. We shall see as we just hit a month on the new one!

Loved this whenever it worked. The first two weeks were great than the panel died after my return period. Took two-three months for Samsung to fix it and it replaced it with a new one. Now it’s failing again ugh

I recently purchased this beast to replace my multiple screens set up between my laptop and a 27" and to enhance my gaming & productivity experience. Packaging was superb, offering significant protection for this premium investment. The main box became a great craft item for my wife's preschool kids to play with. They turned into a boat, and it fit up to 3 toddlers who had a blast ... value I didn't expect:) The monitor itself is huge so I recommend a 2-person set up as I had some challenges manipulating it on my own. I was able to completely unpack it and set it up, but this monster is best tamed by 2. I quickly learned that it takes a lot of computing power to push all the available pixels on this screen. Make sure you have the right PC to handle this, otherwise, you will not be able to take advantage of all the monitors features. Overall, with my first few weeks, I have been dazzled by the performance and aesthetics of the NEO. It has been the most immersive for gaming and with so much screen real estate, it's been a powerful tool for my schoolwork and productivity. I would say this is not a necessity but is a great get if you have the extra cash. I do not see myself going back to any other type of monitor after experiencing this one. In fact, it is a painful disappointment when I am in the office at work using a dual 27" set up.

I love the 49" monitor for day trading. Fast refresh rate and clear. Im currently purchasing another one.

My rating is due to the condition of the product upon delivery and not it's functionality. I really wanted to love this monitor but when it arrived- 1. the box wasn't fully sealed, 2. it had "Barbara" written really big on one side of the box, 3. it wasn't wrapped in plastic like new monitors usually are, and 4. the cable pouch was torn open and all but the firewire cables were undone. Very clearly a returned item. I also tried to porice match Samsung's site but Best Buy wouldn't due to "Special Military Pricing" 1st time i've heard that. I'm just gonna wait for the OLED version to come out and purchase from Samsung directly.

This Samsung 49" monitor is breathtaking. Colors are beautiful and the curved display draws you into the screen as it immerses you into the action. It has an amazing refresh rate of 240 hz and the HDR is eyepopping. Blacks are truly black, and the gorgeous vivid colors are amazing. I was quite excited to receive this gaming monitor even though I had read some negative comments prior to its arrival (all of which I proved wrong). The first thing I did was download the latest firmware from Samsung even before hooking up the monitor. I experienced no hiccups, HDR worked extremely well, and the monitor performed perfectly. I love this monitor. It commands attention, is massive and it invades your desktop (all in a good way). When you first walk into a room which has this monitor, your eyes are immediately drawn to its presence. The monitor is eye-catching and gorgeous. The colors, the colors, the colors are amazing. Colors are jaw-dropping to say the least. Did I mention colors?!!!!! I am not going to bore you with technical aspects of this product. If you are into technical specifications, you can do your own research. All I'm going to say (for the for the diehard gamers), is that this monitor boasts a 1ms response time, coupled with a 240 hz refresh rate. It doesn't get better than that. I experienced no lag times or tearing while playing games. Technology at its best to put it mildly. I had trouble fastening the screws into the stand. At first, I managed to fasten 3 out of the 4 screws, so I decided to remove them and try again. Only my second try, I only managed to faster 2 out of the 4 screws that held the monitor on the upright stand. I fitted the screen properly, but never managed to get all of the screws to seat properly. Samsung really needs to look at the tolerances of these fittings and perhaps exercise some better-quality control standards. This monitor has no speakers. Mind boggling to say the least. I fully understand that gamers use headsets but sometimes it's just nice to listen to music or play without using them. All in all, I found this monitor to be very pleasing. I experienced no tearing while gaming, and response time is super quick. Having such a large monitor did take so getting used to, as this by far is the largest monitor I have ever utilized. Colors are true to life, 4K is awe inspiring and by far the best monitor I have ever used. This monitor is truly an amazing piece of technology.

Nice monitor to work with. Definitely needs some getting used to but its so much bettyer than having 2 or 3 or 4 screens.

The primary reason to get this display is for its theoretical HDR support using the Full Array Local Dimming that the screen should be capable of. These primary features either do not work entirely, or do not work with specific sets of hardware of configurations. In my case I am using the screen with an RTX 3090. When the monitor is in SDR mode it is a capable SDR screen, but once you enable HDR everything goes out the window. Colors, of both SDR and HDR content become washed out and the backlight exhibits strange behavior with SDR content. Dark banding along the edges of windows which shifts as they move, mouse cursor that doesn't get any backlight and becomes almost indistinguishable in dark areas. If this was only an SDR screen, then it would be great, and it should also cost at least $1000 dollars less.
