Wow! Great monitor for my old 2060 graphics card with room to spare at 165Hz. Love the curved screen also. Time to upgrade the GPU on my computer...

Great gaming monitor! Sits about an inch lower than the CHG70 it just replaced when mounted to a monitor arm. It also has a slightly more aggressive curve than previous models, but I find this to be helpful at keeping everything in view without having to dart your eyes around. My biggest gripe right now is the poorly placed Samsung logo that was stamped on the monitor but is sitting crooked. I don’t even have OCD and it’s driving me nuts every time I see it.

This monitor is great for gaming. 165hz is plenty enough to get you by any games your would want to play at best resolution settings. QHD IPS 2k resolution looks magnificent on this monitor and G-Sync adds a great touch. I would like to add I was once a curved monitor type of guy so I got both G5 Odyssey and its curved counterpart to do a dual monitor setup. Both work great, however, have different screen tints and look different from one another in terms of color resolution. If your looking for a monitor, and were once like me a curved finatic. I suggest you try this flat one out and make sure to match it with a flat if doing a daul monitor setup.

Didn’t get much of a reading on it. Ordered it for my Boyfriends birthday back in November, opened it a couple days ago and the screen is damaged. However due to me ordering it for him during the cyber Monday deals and him opening for his birthday a few days ago put it past the return date. So now we are stuck with a broken monitor. He was excited opening till we plugged it in and saw the damage. Unfortunately now nothing can be done so sadly I’ll just have to save to get another one an see if it comes undamaged.

Listed as 165hz, everyone selling this says 165hz, but under the device settings itself the “refresh rate” only allows you to select 65, 120, and 144, so what gives?

I am really, really happy with this monitor! The size is perfect for my current desk setup, the image quality is fantastic (this is overkill for what I need so keep that in mind) and the curve is really excellent as well. I’m a software engineer (and in school) and I’ve been using okay monitors (75 hz, typical flat Acer monitors) for a couple of years, but I really needed to upgrade. This was 100% worth it!

This monitor Is very nice, I use it with my gaming laptop to play nice story games. When I feel like it I'll swap to PS5 or my switch and play what I want. Picture quality is good, I haven't run benchmarks for stats but if you're looking to use this with some of the lesser competitive games and with any game with a campaign, this is the one to use. Haven't had any issues with it although I would be happy if the monitor supports were more sturdy as some movement with make the monitor wiggle a bit (Isn't bad) besides that the ports are nice as you have 3 HDM1 ports and an audio jack for use with headphones if you have a longer cable or speakers. There's a settings controller on the central underside of the monitor to modify your lighting, picture size, and blue light emission preferences. Overall a very nice pick.

I’ve now had this monitor for 3 years. No issues, no faults and just an overall amazing product. It’s held up this entire time even running with a fully custom built PC. The display looks amazing and keeps up with my games and and even my Music Production DAW’s with no latency. Very happy with this product and worth every penny

Purchased this for my son as a Christmas gift and got it on sale which was a good deal. All the specifications matched what he was looking for as a gaming monitor so this was a no brainer to purchase. When we received it he set it up and the plan was to use this with his PS5. To improve the resolution he had to download a firmware update. Went to Samsung's website and followed the instructions and unfortunately the model numbers didn't match anything on Samsung's website to download the firmware update which was weird. We did find the download for a 27" Odyssey G5 Gaming monitor. We downloaded the firmware update on a USB memory stick which was formatted correctly per the instructions. Put the USB memory stick in the monitor and it couldn't read or find the file. Tried that on 4 different USB memory sticks. We googled how to do it and found many different instructions and work arounds. Then my son finally said this is garbage so we returned it. We had high hopes for this monitor but for us it didn't work. It's a bummer a firmware update was almost impossible to do.

Good monitor, got it for a great deal on black friday. Compared to my 1080p Asus monitor the build quality is inferior. However it has a great picture and response time. Overall a solid monitor

Been using this monitor for some time now and it’s great, use for primarily gaming at 1440 it looks amazing.

I got this monitor over a 4k one(From ASUS) . this one was WAY more smooth. and the curve is a must have.

Got it while it was on sale and best monitor i could get for the price. 1440p is a surprising upgrade from 1080p. Curve is a little harsher than my last monitor but after getting used to it i like it better. Deep blacks and vibrant colors once you set it up right. Only thing id say it lacks is a more adjustable stand.

This is an amazing monitor. I bought it after switching from a 4K60HZ screen and i was so much happier with this one. The colors are extremely vibrant and look great and it moves extremely lifelike with the high HZ and the immersion is great when viewing at a close desk angle. The only reason I returned it was to get its curved counterpart. if you dont care about curved screens, you will not be dissapointed with this monitor.
