This monitor has given me a bunch of issues that are a real annoyance. I have to unplug and replug it in anytime I turn on my pc and after it’s done freaking out I can finally use the monitor. It’s good when it’s working but is a pain to use

These are the worst monitors I've ever owned. Two different computers with similar problems. You often have to unplug the cable from the computer and plug it back in to get it to detect. The display quality is great when it works but the issues that constantly occur make me regret buying these at any price. Search samsung odyssey g7 problems before you buy.

Just picked up from the store today, i turn the monitor on and theres a huge black shadown just near the middle of the monitor. Surely as a return this was checked by whoever took this in? Now i have to travel over and hour to change it out. Come on BB. Not good enough.

ive been trying to fix this but nothing is working, and this isnt my pc's fault or resolution, these outlines are there all the time even if i am on the menu of the monitor with displayport disconnected. please help this is annoying as hell

Absolutely horrible. Screen developed unfixable lines through it in only 2 months. When I sent it in to samsung to have it repaired they claimed it had physical damage that voided the warranty and wanted me to pay a extra $220 to fix it. When they sent it back unrepaired the screen had a crack in the corner that ruined the display. Horrible quality control and customer service.

Haven't had this more than 4 weeks and it already has panel failure. Had a black horizontal line appear randomly

Its just an awful overpriced monitor. It is so incredibly laggy. It freezes constantly and can’t handle simple input switches..

This monitor has been very two-faced over these past couple weeks of use. Let me explain.. Pros: -Crisp image (4K, duh) - Great refresh rate. - Colors are pretty good with or without HDR, even without tinkering with settings. *(Depending on what you're doing. Games and videos definitely benefit the most from it)* - Viewing angles are pretty good. - Samsung "smart-monitor" menus are easy enough to navigate through. Cons: - Already noticed a dead pixel on the middle-right of the screen (of course after the return period...) Only noticeable if ~8 inches away from the screen/on a light background, but I think that is pretty ridiculous for a monitor that was originally priced at $699.99 and has only been in use for ~2 weeks.. - Panel glow is pretty noticeable on a black screen when in a dark room, with some edges glowing slightly more than the rest of the panel (at certain angles). Again, expected for IPS, but not to this extent/at this price point. - HDR seems to turn whites *slightly* warm - HDR brightness could be a little better, but decent for the price I paid. ($449.99 instead of $699.99) --- Alright, now the absolute biggest problem I have had with this monitor. >GHOSTING<. Specifically in games. Putting the monitor into "Game Mode" so it can output the advertised 144Hz refresh rate (and do Variable Refresh Rate) causes horrible pixel-ghosting in every single game, and is even worse when paired with NVIDIA G-Sync (a feature which this monitor was also advertised as being compatible with) - I spent hours trying to figure out why the h$!# every game I played looked like blurry garbage when I would move any faster than a couple MPH, such as in a racing game (Assetto Corsa, Forza Horizon 5, BeamNG. Drive), or moved the character/camera any faster than the walking speed (Minecraft, Red Dead Redemption 2, Counter-Strike). This is completely unacceptable for a $700 monitor, and frankly also for the discounted price I paid. I only figured out this was the issue after trying for hours to change settings around, and eventually finding the solution online. I can't even use the 144Hz refresh rate for when I'm gaming because the ghosting looks so bad. It actually hurts my eyes!!! I am still able to use 120Hz without ghosting (or very little ghosting), but when I am paying this much for what is advertised as a 144Hz G-Sync compatible monitor, these issues are completely unacceptable. You may be wondering: "Have you checked your drivers for the monitor and all connected devices?" The answer is yes, *MANY* times. Deleted, re-installed, checked for updates, etc. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone who wants their monitor to work as advertised (in games) until there is (hopefully) a software update that fixes these issues. 3 out of 5 stars is generous. Will be updated to 4 out of 5 stars if these issues are ever fixed (if even possible) I would like to use the full potential of my monitor, please. :(
