The Powerbot has great suction and is quieter than the Roomba 980. However, it seems like Samsung put all their effort into the hardware and neglected the software. This bot misses areas and gets stuck on almost anything. It typically backs up onto something, stops, and gives an error message. It does not map while vacuuming like other bots. You have to send it out on a special mapping run, which fails if there is an error (and there is almost every time). The app gives errors (unable to connect) EVERYTIME I start it, and forces me to click through the features of the app like it's the first time I've used it. I've downloaded both versions of the app - Smart Home is the least buggy, but it's still terrible. This bot has so much potential but the poor software and buggy app ruin it. I suggest you buy a Roomba 980. Mine runs like a Swiss watch everyday and rarely has an issue (I've two large furry dogs).

Frustrated and annoyed with the time I have wasted trying to set the Smart Home app up with my iPhone. I bought this vacuum cleaner for two reasons, the first was it was powerful and the second because it work with the iPhone so I could control which rooms and when it would clean those rooms (setting a machine to come on the same time each does not work as it work trigger the alarm system). After a frustrating hour trying to get the iPhone and Powerbot to talk to each other it turns out that the PowerBot will only work with an Android phone. This is irrespective of the fact there is an App for the iPhone and complete instructions in the operations manual on how to set it up to an iPhone. This vacuum cleaner is clearly sold under false pretenses.

I've a PowerBot R9250 that I've enjoyed for the past year on the downstairs floor so we decided to get another one for upstairs. Unfortunately, the PowerBot Turbo had multiple issues from the start. We returned it to BestBuy today for a new unit hoping it will work correctly. The PowerBot Turbo unit would sound like it was suctioning but half of the runs it wasn't actually suctioning. Even when it did suction, it barely picked up anything. We ran it, then ran the older "downstairs" PowerBot behind it and the downstairs bot picked up a lot which confirmed the Turbo bot wasn't picking up dirt and dog hair that was present. The PowerBot Turbo was surprisingly louder (we thought due to better suction but maybe the motor was bad). The PowerBot Turbo had issue connecting to the iPhone Smarthome app. It would connect to wifi, be recognized by the phone, but fail to be registered with the Samsung server, so never completed getting setup. Tried numerous times, followed online troubleshooting, even went through the process on my Downstairs bot to make sure it wasn't user error. Downstairs bot registered with the app fine, but Turbo bot failed. Not overly disappointing since the Samsung iPhone app is garbage and throws errors connecting to the server regularly. Also, never once did Turbo bot find its way back to the charging station. Granted, my downstairs bot only finds its way back to the charging station at most 50% of the time (when we first got it, it found the base consistently but over time has seemed to lose its way the majority of the time). If I wasn't happy with the downstairs R9250 bot, I would not be willing to give this Turbo bot one more chance. Crossing my fingers the replacement one is solid - it is charging now...

I was excited after watching the informercial so I went ahead and bought it from my local BestBuy store. The Samsung app is a nightmare. It is not user friendly and I'm a big geek when it comes to technology. It took me a while to set the vacuum in the wifi network. The vacuum gets lost constantly when it runs out of battery. The battery life is not what the specifications tells you. It lasts maybe 40 min. This things get stuck everywhere it goes. I exchanged the first one and the 2nd one had the same issues. Save your money and avoid headaches and look for something else.

We have many Samsung device in my home, this robot is able integrate with other Samsung device. I have two Powerbots (R9350 and R7040). R7040 is working very well, hence, I purchased 9350 again. You can control PowerBot using WiFi and remote controller. You can connect PowerBot to wifi and then control it via your phone, Samsung TV, or other Samsung Device. For R7040, it works very well for config Wifi or control via Samsung device. But, I meet some trouble on 9350 PowerBots. I can't connect to R9350 PowerBot using my Samsung Phone (using SmartHome or Smartthings Apps). I tried rollback to old version, it still not working for me. I did Internet search, there are many people have same issue with me. Finally, I installed Samsung SmartHome app on my iPhone and finish Wifi setting, then, I can find it from my SmartThings app. When I back to my Samsung phone, I can see R9350 PowerBot my app. But, I still not able to control it using my Samsung phone. Hence, I use remote controller to control my 9350 PowerBot or control it using my iPhone. This is the only problem I have. R9350 has Extreme Suction Power. In Turbo Mode, the battery doesn't as long, BUT R9350 pick up the dirt. The Select and Go Features is very useful feature (R7040 Do not have this feature), it will keep cleaning the area you want to clean it. Once R9350 make floor plan in his memory, you can just ask it to clean specific room. I used it my 2nd floor (carpet), I let it run by itself, I am very happy with how clean my floor are. I have to vacuum my carpet by myself. The R9350 has two rubber wheels, it can easy cross some stuff on the floor. Sometimes, my son leave his book on floor, PowerBot will cross it and continue clean the room. I am not sure, this is good or not. But, it is very useful for me. It can easy transit on different surfaces or thresholds without the need of human assistance. Overall, this is a very good clean robot. I am a fan of newest technological gadgets, I am always trying different gadget on market. I am very enjoy with R9350. The only drawback need to improve is the apps. You can also control it using Alexa or Google Hub, but, I didn't try it out. You can spot clean on demand, set a schedule cleaning, or change suctioning power (or you can say noise level). If you are looking for a clean robot to clean your home, Samsung POWERbot R9350 is a good choice.
