Customers are satisfied with the POWERbot™ robot vacuum's strong suction power and excellent cleaning performance, frequently praising its ability to pick up pet hair and its relatively quiet operation. However, some users experienced issues with navigation and reported the dustbin to be on the smaller side. The ease of use and long battery life were also highlighted as positive aspects.

I got this thinking it would help with all of the dust and pet hair. It will often just spin in circles and we end up having to carry it back to the base. When it is sucking up dirt, it does do a good job, but battery tends to die fairly fast.

Extremely disappointed. I really wanted to like this unit, Samsung makes great stuff. This vacuum has no virtual walls and no way to block it from going out of the room and wandering off. When it does it can't find its way back and you have to go find it wherever it died. Came with a magnetic strip and no explanation in the owner's manual. Spent two hours in a chat room with support. They were useless. It's a real shame because I have other Samsung products that work great. I returned this unit two days after I got it.

Great improvement on current robot vacuums!

Over previous robot vacuums I've owned or tested before, this unit definitely wins over them as here are several improvements made over what I believed to be flaws in other models, however there is still room for more on this model.
PROS
- The full width roller bar works better than other models
- The camera based sensing gives the unit a better chance to slow down before continually bumping into object around the room
- It's pretty quiet, it automatically varies the suction power needed to clean the area
- The dust bin is extremely easy to remove from the vacuum and empty
CONS
- It struggled with rugs. It got caught on rugs with a fringe and rugs that were too lightweight. It ended up curling up the edge of the rug and couldn't get on top of it.
- The edge clean wiper doesn't really seem to help that much. It's a unique idea, but still not the perfect solution.
- The vacuum is definitely more useful in a small to medium sized room that doesn't have too many complicated options to navigate around.
- The mobile app has delay and would occasionally disconnect forcing you to close and relaunch the app.
Overall, compared to other models I've used, this vacuum improves on quite a few of the features. If you're looking for a robot vacuum, this model won't let you down, but it will have a learning curve.

I have a feeling my review is skewed by this being my first robot vacuum. There's this extra "neat" factor that comes with the first time you watch a robot vacuum your floor. Watching it navigate a room it knows nothing about. Watching your cats freak out. All the little things spark an emotional response. This is how I felt when I turned on the robot for the first time.
Trying to set aside my emotional response, I should probably talk about the actual robot a little bit. One of the first things you'll notice is setting it up. I was incredibly surprised by how quickly and easily this was. I figured there would be some sort of training or wifi setup but it was literally "plug in dock", "turn master switch on", "set robot on dock". That's it. It starts charging and if you want it to vacuum, you just press play. This will get you going and I honestly haven't done much more with it than that. It works well with it's default settings but I will end up playing around to see what other cool things it can do.
One of my cats remained on edge even after the vacuum was done. The other cat stalked the vacuum for a whole until it ran out of juice and hobbled it's way back to the charging dock. Sadly, I have a dog that doesn't always not poop on the floor so I won't be able to use the schedule mode. This does exist, though, so you can set it up to run a cycle every morning before you wake up, or while you're away at work.
The sensors seemed pretty cool except for smaller open shelving. Normally, when it senses an obstacle in front of it, it slows down and approaches slower until it nudges it. This open bookshelf unit was empty on the bottom and robo dude couldn't sense them before he rammed them. Wasn't super hard or anything but that was the only thing that went wrong with the sensors.
The vacuum job seemed pretty decent. The debris canister was pretty full after it was done with this room.I did find a couple of things it missed on the floor but not much (and the floor was REALLY dirty as we just finished moving in). My idea of how this is to be used is that you would run it every day or 2 so over time, you'd end up with a mostly clean room that would remain that way. So my initial impression with a very dirty floor was pretty good after a single vacuuming. I'm sure after it fully charges and runs a few more cycles, this room is going to be squeaky clean. The other thing I thought was neat, is when the vacuum hit some dirtier spots (like there was an area with a bit of sand that had spilled in one of the corners) it would slow down and the vacuum spin would speed up so it did a deeper clean for that spot. Speaking of features I still need to try, there is an actual "deep clean" setting where the vacuum is supposed to clean a specific area really well.
I don't know what else to say. Do you want a robot to vacuum for you? This might be the thing for you! I wish I could compare this to other competing products but for now, I really like this specific one so if it's in your budget, pull the trigger!

We've had a few robotic vacum before and they all fell short of the job, however this Samsung model does a great job.
PROS
Advanced mapping system that really works; larger refuse storage capacity; greater suction; programmable in addition to being able to operate it via either the Samsung App or the provider remote control; repeats at a higher suction powers around edges to do a better than normal job; when out of power it returns to it's charging station, and then when powered back up it remembers exactly were it left off and returns to that exact spot to finish the job.
CONS
The advanced new mapping system partially ulilizes cameras that look at your ceiling, but has trouble with cathedral and vaulted ceilings; still doesn't do the edges well enough to not have to use your upright once in a while. Sometimes it literally gets lost going back to it's charging station; and the cell phone app keeps losing connection but the provided remote control work great.
All in all we are very pleased with this vacum.

Terrible vacuum, go with the Roomba products. Mine failed after only one year, just after the warranty expired. Had an issue with docking station that kept the unit from being charged. The vacuum is very load and the bristles are hard. I do not recommend this product at all.

Great Vacuum, Floors Look Amazing!

The vacuum is just awesome. I have 3 cats and hardwood floors. Usually to keep dander off the floor I’m vacuuming every couple of days or spot cleaning as I see messes, whichever I have time for. Not really an issue with this vacuum. I come home, do a quick scan to make sure there isn’t anything out of the ordinary on the floor, and then hit the start button. While my floors are being cleaned, I focus on getting dinner ready or picking up around the house.
Pros:
Product is packaged really well, build material is very sturdy and not cheap feeling.
Controls are intuitive and easy to use.
Suction power is enough to pull crumbs, pet dander, and lint. I haven’t had the opportunity to give it any tougher tasks but I wouldn’t be surprised if handled it like a champ.
Cleaning is easy enough and not over complicated like some vacuums can be. Can be controlled and automated by an app. Navigates walls, furniture, food trays, cats, chairs with ease.
Cons: Not a whole lot here, just splitting hairs.
The dust bin is a bit small but that’s expected.
I’ve seen it struggle with my light weight rugs in my kitchen. It will push them rather than ride up on them, although my heavier rugs it actually cleans really well.
You do have to pay more attention to what’s on your floor before turning it on. I just do a quick walk through and pick up anything that could be an obstruction.
Final Thoughts: Does anyone really *need* a robot vacuum? Well that depends. If this vacuum can stand the test of time it will keep the dust and dander off the floor, keeping my allergies in check. To me that’s worth it.

What’s in the Box: The vacuum came well packed and cushioned in the box. Inside the box was the vacuum, power cord, remote control, batteries, and docking station. There was also a package of Boundary Markers and a User Guide in English, Spanish, and French.
Setup: After reading the instructions, I plugged in the docking station and turned on the Powerbot, which is meant to be kept in the “On” position from now on, unless you want to turn it off while you clean the Powerbot or to go on vacation. I also installed the “SmartThings” app and had it scan for devices and it found the Powerbot immediately.
Charging: Out of the box, you need to charge the Powerbot on the docking station by placing it on the station and waiting until the Powerbot says “Full” on the display. Also the app shows when charging is complete. I didn’t time it, but the instructions said it charges in 3 hours.
Home Prep: To use the vacuum, you need to make sure everything is up off of the floor, including power cords. Also if you have areas where you don’t want the vacuum to go, you either need to block them off or use the “boundry makers” that come with the vacuum. There really aren’t enough boundary markers in the box to do much, so if you don’t want to purchase more you can just put an obstacle in the way. In my home, all I had to do to prepare my home to be vacuumed was move 2 power cords and close doors to rooms that I didn’t want to vacuum. Since I was testing out the vacuum for the first time, I wanted to be able to keep an eye on it, so I kept it from doing the bedrooms on this test run.
Use: After charging the first time, I pressed the “Auto Clean” button on the vacuum, but I could have pressed the button on the remote control or on the smart phone app. It did very well. I never had to pick it up and move it or get it out of any “stuck” situations. I owned a previous robot vacuum made by a different company and it was always getting stuck under my sofa or my shelving unit because the front was slanted and it could get part-way under but couldn’t go any further and couldn’t back out. The Powerbot never got stuck anywhere.
Maneuvering and Efficiency: When vacuuming the edges of the rooms, I noticed that the Powerbot would maneuver itself until it was flush with a wall and would travel along the edge of the wall getting closer to the edge than my previous robot vacuum ever did. Also, when approaching a wall straight on, it would slow down within an inch or two of the wall and gently move toward it until it touched the wall and then back up or turn. This was impressive because I didn’t think it would do a good job that close to the wall. It also maneuvered itself under and around chair legs and under tables, doing a very thorough job. After completing the job, I opened the app and looked at the “history” which had a map drawing of the vacuum’s travel path and noticed that every bit of my floors had been vacuumed. There were no missing spots except for under furniture that it could not vacuum under (such as the china hutch and sofa.)
Effectiveness: I had vacuumed the entire floor the day before, so I didn’t expect to see much in the dust bin. However, my full-sized vacuum cleaner cannot get under 5 of my tables because they all have a shelf under the table that is only a few inches from the floor (Breakfast table, coffee table, sofa table, and 2 end tables) and this vacuum could get under those tables. Also, I’ve been cat-sitting a long-haired cat in my house since the end of October, so there was cat hair under those tables. When the vacuum completed its job, the dust bin was full of cat hair.
Volume: I ran the vacuum on “Quiet” mode and I didn’t find it as quiet as my last robot vacuum, but it did such a good job without me having to help it out of any “stuck” situations that I think it is well worth it. I was running it while I was watching TV and I only had to turn the sound up a little bit. It is still much quieter than a regular vacuum.
Overall I was impressed with the vacuum. It did a great job and didn’t run into any difficulties. I would definitely recommend this vacuum for people who do not have clutter on their floors (or don’t mind picking things up to prepare for using it.)

Moving from an iRobot Roomba 690 to this was an excellent choice.I'll move that one to the upstairs smaller areas and use this one for the main floor.
The Samsung unit seems more powerful and more intelligent. The App for it is great. I scheduled a couple cleanings with it and they performed flawlessly.
Battery life is excellent. In fact I've yet to drain it before it was done and the first time I cleaned, it took over 45 minutes before it finished and automatically parked itself on the cradle.
It actually looks vacuumed over the carpeted areas where the Roomba barely left any marks. Somehow it configured itself to vacuum in straight lines back and forth. Looks fresh when finished, like a manicured baseball field.
I did have to stop it a few times to empty the container as it looked pretty fuill. I'm sure it would have kept going but it's nice to have a view of the clear tank to see how much it's actually doing.
My cats are not terrified of this one as they are with the Roomba and hopefully, the little one will eventually ride it around.
One thing I miss that the Roomba does have is the infrared "do not pass this area" unit that I could place at my kitchen entrance so it wouldn't go in there. Not a big deal as I just block it with the trash can now.
Highly recommend this. Another high quality Samsung product!!

Frustrating

I was really looking forward to trying this unit out but found it frustrating to use as no matter what cleaning option I tried I wasnt satisfied with the results.
The problems for me are;
It seems really slow – just circling around a lot of the time or cleaning same area over and over while ignoring the rest of the room/area.
Doesn’t clean an entire floor no matter what option I used. To help verify what was or wasn’t cleaned I put small pieces of Kleenex randomly on the floor. I ran it several times and also had it blocked so as to clean only that 20 x 24 foot bedroom and it still didn’t get entire area. I ran a competing model afterwards and it had everything picked up within 20 minutes.
Most times didnt’t dock itself.
It gets hung up on any smaller throw rugs (bunching them up or flipping them somewhat over) – which is an issue for me as we have 3 in our bathroom and 2 in our utility room. Having to pick up the rugs before cleaning – kind of defeats the purpose no? I have used 2 other competing robots both of which had no problems with the throw rugs.
Relatively small dust bin and while its clear and easy to clean and rinse - you have to wait for filter to dry each time.
If you have a room with no doors and want to clean only that room – there is no easy way to do it so I wound up using furniture to block open access areas. It does come with few feet of what it calls “boundary markers” which is press and stick magnetic tape which I didn’t use it but I don’t see it holding up.
For these reasons I don’t recommend this vacuum as I think there are better alternatives.

High Tech Robot Vacuuming Performance

I’ve always been curious about owning a robot vacuum cleaner. I mean who wouldn’t love letting a machine do this chore. At the same time I’ve always been skeptical about the effectiveness of these devices. Then came along the Samsung Powerbot line of self charging robot vacuums with its unique and improved approach to this technology.
In the box you find the Powerbot R7065, the docking/charging station, the charging adapter, a remote control, batteries, manual, and boundary markers. I selected a location for the docking station and attached it to the power adapter and plugged it in. I also popped the batteries into the remote control. The Powerbot R7065 is app controlled so I next headed to the App Store to download the Samsung Connect app to my iPhone. Works on Android too. You’re prompted to setup an account and then the app walks you through connecting your Powerbot to your WiFi connection. Setup was a breeze. Anyone could do it. Now you can control the Powerbot with your phone as well as with the remote. Upon inspection the Powerbot even looks different than other robot vacuum competition. It looks a lot like a regular vacuum cleaner without the upright part. Unlike other robot vacs on the underside you find substantial all terrain wheels and a roller brush like that on an upright. The Powerbot is super sleek looking. I like it.
I was eager to see the R7065 in action so I press play on the remote and off it goes. The noise level is surprisingly low. As I observe it do it’s thing I’m amazed seeing this tech in action. The Powerbot sets a course which at first appears random but then you can see its thinking. It maneuvers my open concept first floor like a pro. My floors are tile, hardwood, and area rugs. The Powerbot transitions from each with ease. As it approaches a wall it pauses and uses it edge cleaner while also increasing suction so it effectively gets everything. Incredible! They call this CycloneForce technology. As I continue to observe it makes it way under several pieces of furniture I never thought it would fit under but it does. Let’s just say I’m thrilled since I don’t often vacuum under these furniture items. I can hear the evidence of my laziness as the Powerbot sucks up plenty of debris. I’m pleased to also see that as the vacuum approaches obstacles it slows and avoids them completely. This is a relief as I’d hate to have it barreling into furniture and appliances and doing damage. This thing is incredibly smart. It has some powerful tech onboard to accomplish these feats including a digital camera and nine sensors.
I however did discover one Powerbot nemesis. I probably should have thought about this but it came to my attention when the Powerbot shut down abruptly. Upon inspection it had encountered fringe on an area rug. I was happy to see it stop instead of running regardless of being hung up on the rug. To remedy this I then placed an obstacle over the fringe so the Powerbot cleans around it. The R7065 actually comes with a strip of boundary marker material for this purpose. Upon finishing its work the Powerbot made its way back to the charging dock. Nice! I now thought I would empty the canister to see how much had been collected so I paused the vacuum. The canister for dirt is on the top of the unit and releases with a push. I was surprised by the amount of debris collected particularly when considering I had vacuumed with a regular vacuum the day before.
I was happy to discover that in addition to controlling the Powerbot with the remote control and the mobile app you can also control it via voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Home. While I don’t think the Powerbot will entirely replace my regular vacuum I do think it will be a great tool to surface clean my home in between regular vacuuming. Doing so will be automatic since the Powerbot has a scheduling feature within the app. Simply set a time and the R7065 will do its thing daily.
I have to say I was truly impressed with the Samsung Powerbot. This vacuum packs some remarkable features and technology which set it apart from the competition. Highly recommended.

Samsung POWERbot Sucks! (In a good way!)

I have owned several different brands of robot vacuums. All of them have been problematic. Most only lasted a few months. Not Samsung. They just work. I have mine scheduled to run every day at 10:00 A.M. and they will clean for approximately 45 minutes, then return home. They recharge and it's off they go again to continue cleaning. At first I was concerned that certain rooms weren't getting cleaned. After running them a full week, every room in the house had been vacuumed. We have about 2400 sq. ft. in our home and this little bot manages to get every room at least once during the week. I like that they clean in a straight forward pattern. I know when the bot comes into a room, it's going to clean the whole floor before it leaves. It seemed more hit and miss with the robots that used a pattern that involved a lot of roaming. And the edge clean. I used to have stuff along the edges of the walls that I would have to either sweep out into the room or vacuum up with my big vacuum. This little guy gets to the wall, hesitates, backs up and goes back again. So I know the edge is clean. Does it miss things? Sure, but so does the big vacuum. For it's size it sure does suck! I haven't used my big vacuum in a long time. I own a previous model of Samsung Powerbot which had 20X suction power. I can really tell a difference between this one at 40X and the one with 20X. The nap on my carpet is standing up again. I no longer have the traffic paths I used to have. Very rarely do I have to go get this one out of a tight spot. I think it must have been upgraded in its "escape" programming because places where the other one would routinely get stuck are no longer an issue. It's fun to watch this guy get into a tight spot and work itself out with no problem. A huge improvement over previous models. I wouldn't recommend any other brand of robot vacuum, seriously. I am sold on Samsung POWERbots. The other model I have has been running trouble free for two years. I anticipate the same performance and lifespan from this newer model.

Impressive looking machine when I took it out of the box. Gray and black looks all business. But requires a bit more attention wiping down the black colored sides after a cleaning.
Love the idea of the included remote w/batteries.And the large dust bin really helps. I can probably use this vac on my condo flooring twice, before having to empty the bin.
Don’t like the idea of making the Samsung Mobile browser the default on my OG Pixel phone. Also the robot vac only supports Wi-Fi 2.4 Ghz band as do other Internet of Things devices. This can play havoc with some routers that do a lot of auto switching such as a high powered gaming router. Be sure to have different SSID’s for each band your router supports. That might do the trick.
Alexa and the Google Assistant is supported. For now I’m sticking with the remote.
Battery was not fully charged so took several hours to prepare for the first run.
Used remote to get it started. Heard this model robot is relatively quiet. It is for the most part but will rev up for extra cleaning. HINT: put on UR earbuds and listen to music while it’s doing it’s thing.
Intelligent mapping is pretty good. Doesn’t seem to bump into things a lot and provides good cleaning coverage IMHO.
So far I’m loving this little guy and will stick with a while.

Where Did You Get That?

"Where did you get that?" Upon walking in the door, this was the question that I was greeted with by the woman who cleans our house. She says the POWERbot took an hour off of her work. She wants one for her home! My experience with the POWERbot has been great. We live in a home that is 90 years old. It has a lot of corners and the floors are not always even. We also have a mix of flooring surfaces...hard wood, tile, carpet. The terrain was my biggest concern with the POWERbot, but the device has handled all of this like a champ. It's been so interesting watching it learn to work around the obstacles and changing levels of floors in our house. After a couple of weeks, it now zooms around getting in and under spots that I wasn't sure that it would.
Quick Thoughts:
1) We have 2 cats and a dog. The POWERbot vacuums up their hair with ease and we rarely run it on the highest setting.
2) Using the phone app and scheduling the cleanings are great! The app is useful when you are trying to hit problem areas or areas that are really dirty. It's also great to get notifications of when it is having a problem.
3) I've also really enjoyed linking it with our Google Home system so it can be voice activated.
4) The upkeep and cleaning of the filters and brush are so easy. I've been really impressed with how simply you can pause the device clean it out really quick and put it right back to work.
5) I can't tell you how many times in the past couple of weeks that I've recommended this device. It's been a great buy for us. I put it on the shortlist of items that I have no regrets in buying.
6) I love this device and think it's only going to get better with time.
I recommend it with no reservations.

I have only tried a few robot vacs, and this is definitely one of the better ones. But it still does not overcome the flaw most have in avoiding getting stuck.
This robot vac is very cool. It looks very sophisticated and futuristic just like a robot vac should. It reminds me of Knight Rider! It has the quality feel you should expect from Samsung, and setup was very easy. I find the Samsung app was easy to use and found my network and was able to logon quickly and easily. I flipped the on switch, docked the robot and let it charge. Then later that day I gave it a test run. I made sure to clear my first floor of all obstacles that could potentially cause it to get stuck. But it still did. My kitchen chairs have a square base that I thought the vac would recognize and avoid but still tried to leapfrog it and ended up getting stuck. This is very frustrating since it is hard to set it and leave without worrying.
The good news is that this is one powerful vac. The most powerful I have seen. It filled the dirt trap with way more dirt than I thought it would have accumulated. I walked around my laminate floors with no shoes or socks and my feet were clean. Much cleaner than my previous robot vac usually leaves it. With this I was very pleased.
Overall, the vacuum performs very well and is very easy to use. I love the app and all of its features, but I still don't know how to overcome the unit getting stuck. It does perform very well and if you have the right space for it then I would highly recommend it!

"Hi there! I'm happy to see you like the performance of your vacuum, let me help you like it even more. To avoid the unit from getting stuck, please turn off the unit on the emergency button located at the bottom, wait 60 seconds and turn it back on, then put the vacuum in an area where it can easily move, after that start the unit. Make sure there isn't any material that can interrupt the vacuum performance. For best results, the room has to be bright enough for your vacuum operates effectively.

Let me start off by saying that I currently own two high end botvacs that do a superb job in the cleaning of my 1756 square foot home. Either one of my robots are more than capable to cleaning my entire home on a single battery charge, so I was anxious to see what the Samsung Powerbot was capable of.
The look of the Samsung Powerbot R7075 is somewhat different looking than my other botvacs. Perhaps futuristic is the word that I'm looking for. What will separate any botvac from the field of competition is how well it cleans (or the lack thereof).
What the Samsung Powerbot had over my other 2 botvacs, was the fact that you can select the level of the suction through use of the supplied remote control, and its superior cleaning pattern. The capability of increasing the suction on demand, is no doubt a nice option to have especially in the more dirty areas of ones home. When docked at the docking station, the first charge took nearly 3 hours. The Samsung Powerbot also has a dustbin that is "clear" color, which translates into you being able to provide a visual peek at the compartment while its in use rather than stopping the bot in the middle of a cleaning cycle. The Samsung Powerbot has an automatic feature that applies more suction when it senses that the unit is in a "corner". Corners are usually problematic, as most botvacs leave dirt in those hard to reach areas. I have to admit, that the Samsung Powerbot proved to be highly efficient and tended to pick up more "corner debris" than I was accustomed to. Nice corner cleaning.
My other botvacs, were marketed with virtual room barriers. Sort of a miniature looking lighthouse (a couple inches tall), which projects an invisible beam that precludes your botvac from passing a particular point of your room. The Samsung Powerbot is marketed with a thin roll of magnetic tape which serves the same purpose as room barriers, but I never utilized it. Navigation of the Samsung Powerbot was truly excellent, as I have a sunken living room and the bot never once fell over the edge. I did not have to utilize the magnetic tape in order to preclude the botvac from going over the edge. When the Powerbot approached the step just in front of my sunken living room, it responded by stopping and changing direction whereby avoiding a tumble over the edge of the step.
One thing I did find highly interesting was the fact that if your bed has a dust ruffle (gentlemen, kindly ask your wives what this is), the bot would not pass underneath it. In my testing, the dust ruffle prevented the Powerbot from passing underneath my bed.
The Samsung Powerbot has a methodical way in which it cleans your room/s. It does not randomly operate, rather it cleans in straight lines. What this translates into, is a smarter cleaning pattern in your home, and more battery life. Fantastic!
Battery of this unit is only warranted for 6 months. I found that most of the competition offered at least a 1 year warranty. A few words about the Samsung Smartthings app. After repeated tries, I was unsuccessful in setting up the app and I finally gave up on it. For informational purposes, I have an iPhone 7 plus that is fully up to date. I did read reviews on the internet regarding the app, which in all honesty were not very positive. You very well may be able to use this app, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
The overall cleaning of the Powerbot was outstanding! Very thorough, super methodical, and left nothing to chance. The noise level of the Powerbot as compared to my other bots was definitely quieter. I had no problem listening to my TV and having conversations while the Powerbot was in use. The Samsung is truly a winner. For most consumers the Samsung Powerbot will get the job done and make you happy. Navigation is top-of-the-line and corner cleaning doesn't get any better. Highly recommended.

Good Robotic Vacuum

This Samsung robotic vacuum is average in my opinion. It has good features, but they are negated by bad features. This is the second best robot vacuum in my home, behind an older model. This unit comes with a remote control which was interesting and useful. I liked having the remote to control and program the vacuum. Most vacuums these days are controlled purely by apps or Alexa commands. I found that it helped me to get the vacuum going very quickly, too. Another good feature is the suction power. There are three different levels of suction that can be chosen, and the more suction you select the more battery is used. On the highest suction level, I only got a 30 minute cleaning before it needed to charge again. But that could be useful in certain situations, like needing to get a room done quickly. On the middle suction level, the charge lasted about an hour, and on the lowest suction level the charge lasted for a little over an hour and a half. The suction worked well on carpets and hardwoods. We have a dog that leaves a good amount of hair behind, and the hair pickup of this unit is substantial. But, that is balanced by a small and hard to operate dirt tray. I am used to emptying the dirt tray just a few times on my other vacuum for the entire house. With this unit, I had to empty the tray a couple times just for one room. It adds up to a lot of time spent emptying the tray. This vacuum spends much of the time wandering around and not following any discernible pattern. It is supposed to have enhanced pathfinding, but I did not see it in action. The vacuum became stuck between chair legs and couch legs for long stretches of time. The app is supposed to have a map that shows the cleaning path that the vacuum took but what I saw didn't make sense so it wasn't useful. It seemed to even have issues finding the base to charge. From past experience, I know that sometimes the vacuum needs to be fairly close to the base to pick up the homing signal, but it was only finding the base about 75% of the time. This unit does charge fairly quickly so for an entire house there is quite a lot of the vacuum traveling back and forth to charge and then operate. But most of these trips should be unnecessary if the vacuum was more efficient with pathfinding. I am not sure this will ever be our primary vacuum, even with the great suction. But, I could see it being handy if you lived in a home with a medium-small to small footprint and had very few obstacles to avoid.

Died after 1 month. Samsung customer service seems hard to contact. Meh.
