Usually nothing I have comes close to the sound quality.. until i bought this soundbar set! It makes movies and music amazing to listen to. Unbelievable sound. I had to go to 3 different Bestbuy's to find one with a working set you could hear. I listened to other brands as well. I promise you wont be disappointed by these and even if you are.. Bestbuy will take them back!! Its worth it. I know your wondering. Try them.

Perfect complement to 2023 Samsung TVs

It is the perfect complement. Sound is crisp, clean, and really adds to the viewing experience. Makes you almost feel like you’re in a movie theater. I rarely need to go past volume 17, so not even sure what the max volume is. I’m very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.

The 990C just sound weaker in that deportment. I have both . Save your money and keep the HW-Q990B or get it if availably for less money. 990C appears to have a cleaner vocal sound but the bottoms is just OK. And Samsung do not replay to me about all the adjustment I could try I own the 950A, the 990B and now the 990C I know what I am doling also using Smarting's app for adjustments of all the parameters. It just lacks bottom end. You took away Auto EQ for the sub, big mistake. The added space fit waste stetting does nothing.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the HW-Q990C Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not fully satisfied with your new purchase.
There are in fact a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar.
First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
Next, update the firmware on your soundbar. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to download the SmartThings app and connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to not only download any firmware updates but also control your entire soundbar on the screen of your smart device.
If this does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
Next, check to see if your wireless subwoofer is indeed connected to the Soundbar. On the back of your subwoofer, there is a LED indicator. If it is a solid blue, then it is connected, if it is blinking blue then the setup process was not completed and needs to be finished. If the LED is a solid red, then the subwoofer is not connected to the Soundbar at all.
Follow the steps below to manually connect your subwoofer to the Soundbar. Do this after you have completed a hard reset on the Soundbar.
1. Turn off the Soundbar main unit.
2. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds.
3. Press the Up button on the remote control for 5 seconds.
4. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete).
• The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established
between the Soundbar and the Subwoofer.

More Expensive But Worth The Money

This system is higher priced than the other name brand was, but it is worth every penny. The sound from this system is far superior, even though my other sound bar was from a good name audio company. The sound is unbelievable, even compared to my old system.

While my experience varied between movies, I am overall impressed with this system. The upward firing speakers really work well for that special “atmos effect”. I’ve tested that with LOTR (and Hobbits), Ready Player One and other movies. If there’s one complaint it’s that the bass is not that strong even at the highest setting (may be it’s just my setup). Also, increasing the setting on other channels seem to impact the bass.

We had a Bose lifestyle 30 something and it went out. We could not be happier. The setup was not that easy until I found out about the smartthings app. The paperwork did not say anything about the app. It definitely was easier. I use the app to adjust the sub bass and the entire unit sounds amazing. Definitely need to use a Earc connection. paperw

So if your outlets are 12" or more about the floor, you need extension cord.
