Im looking and reviewing this and/or the 930C since the space for the soundbar in my place is finite, but it has built in Atmos which is what im looking forward to simce i couldn't ge the right and price sensitive separate pieces to make a ln efficient surround sound

Hello Todd,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The HW-Q800C features a wide range of sound modes and settings allowing you to fine tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, and Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
By pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.
If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.

Sound is ok due to mids and lows being none existant. Sub barely puts out any bass even maxed out. I will most likely return if a firmware update doesnt fix soon

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-Q800C Soundbar. We appreciate your feedback very much and it will be shared with our product team.
There are two ways you can update your Soundbar, using either a USB thumb stick or SmartThings.
SmartThings will also allow you to change any and all of the settings from your smart device easily. This includes changing the channel levels, bass, treble, and even accessing the 7-band EQ. To set up SmartThings follow the instructions below.
Before connecting your mobile device to your Soundbar, ensure that the following requirements have been met first. Check your mobile device operating system, the SmartThings app is compatible with phones running Android 8.0 or higher, and iOS 12.0 or higher.
Connect your mobile device to the same network. Each device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. On your smartphone: Tap Settings > Connection > Wi-Fi > Select a router to connect to.
Step 1. Turn on the Samsung Soundbar and launch the SmartThings app. Step 2. When the pop-up appears showing your HW-Q800C Soundbar, tap Add Now. Or you can tap on the + button in the upper right corner and manually add the Soundbar in. Step 3. Tap Start. Step 4. After following the on screen instructions, select Location and Room for your Samsung Soundbar.
From here you can update the drivers of your Soundbar. Open the SmartThings app on your phone and select the soundbar to access its control menu. Tap the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen. Navigate to Information > Firmware Update > Update Now.
This will make sure that you are running the latest software available. After updating your Soundbar, make sure that your subwoofer is connected properly. The LED indicator on the back of the wireless subwoofer should be a solid BLUE. If it RED or blinking RED/BLUE then the Subwoofer is not paired correctly.
From here you can manually pair your subwoofer following the steps below.
1. Turn off the Soundbar main. 2. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer and surround speakers for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator at the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. 3. Press the Up button on the remote control for 5 seconds. • The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. • The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. 4. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete).
