I can be 25 feet away and the sound is great. Easy to program and control with the television remote so one remote controls the TV and sound bar. Would definitely recommend this to others.

The sales guy said they are better than the Sony ones that are the same price. Really like the bass. The sound is crisp. If you need a demonstration of the bass, play the beginning of the first episode of the Stranger Things show.

Sounds Bar Buzzing Noise

The only issue I have is a nonstop buzzing noise when leaving a video on Netflix or youtube that come from the sound bar and doesn't stop until another video is selected

If you are charging a tablet or smart phone near the Soundbar that can cause electronic interference that produces a noise from the Soundbar itself. TVs or video game consoles generally do not cause any audio interference but check the surroundings for any other electronic devices and move them away from the Soundbar.
If you are still experiencing noise while using your Soundbar, try plugging it in to another outlet, or use a power surge protector.

Fantastic sound

I did the research and pulled the trigger on this model. Love! It! Fantastic sound. I think it performs better with shows than my receiver.

You’ll turn it to 20 and it’ll toggle between 19 and 21. Other than that it’s a good unit.

Words will not do this device justice. Go into the store and listen to it. Note: if you live in a small apartment, you may not want to go to this level because beyond about 40% volume and your neighbors may start to complain, lol.

Thank you for sharing your review of the HW-Q800C Soundbar. We appreciate your thoughts regarding the audio quality and this review will be shared among our internal teams.
There are two different ways that you can adjust the Soundbar to your liking. Using either the provided Soundbar remote or by using SmartThings.
When your Soundbar is connected to Wi-Fi, you will be able to control all of the settings from your smart device using SmartThings. This allows you to see in real time all of the changes that make to your soundbar. Everything from adjusting the channels, volume, bass and treble levels can be done from your phone or tablet.
To improve your audio experience using the Soundbar remote, the HW-Q800C features a wide range of sound modes and settings allowing you to fine tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode & Night mode. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass or treble levels by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

The HW-Q800C soundbar comes with Night Mode as a feature you can turn on. Press the SOUND CONTROL button on the remote until you see NIGHT MODE and then use the UP/DOWN buttons to turn it on or off. Night mode is optimized for night time viewing with the settings adjusted to bring the volume down but keep the dialog clear.
