You have to turn the volume up high for the subwoofer to finally kick in. Overall happy with the purchase and got it for a good price.

Awesome soundbar

It really blew me away. With each tier you can tell the difference, but wow, the jump with the q750c was crazy. It fills our living room with immersive sound and provided enough sound for our outdoor movie setup with projector (no issues connecting the soundbar to MacBook Pro). I'm sure the additional tiers offer increased performance that I've seen in my search so far, but this meets our needs at a great price.

This one had rear speakers so i really wanted this one. I should have just got one with out them because the rear speakers suck. They literally are so quiet even with the rear speaker colume set to the highest level. Also the display makes it hard to see what youre doing when setting it up.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the new HW-Q750C Soundbar. I am sorry to see that your out-of-box experience has not been ideal.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. Depending on your TV, make sure that the Audio Format is set correctly to send Surround Sound to the rear channels. Using either Bitstream, Auto or Pass-Through is the most recommended setting.
Check your Sound Mode on your Soundbar, make sure it is set to Surround, Game, or Adaptive Modes. These will correctly send the rear channels to the rear speakers, whereas Standard will not properly send the rear channels, therefore reducing your audio experience.
Instead of using the Soundbar remote, try using SmartThings. By connecting your Soundbar to Wi-Fi, you will be able to change every setting from your smart device just like you would using the provided remote.
To connect a Soundbar to a mobile device via a wireless network (Wi-Fi), the SmartThings app is required.
1. Install and launch the SmartThings app from your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) using either iOS or Android.
2. On the app, follow the screen instructions to add the Soundbar.
• The automatic pop-up (the second screenshot below) may not show on some devices.
If the pop-up window does not appear, press “+” on the Home screen. The Soundbar is added to the app.
Now you have the ability to control your Soundbar from your smart device.

The rear speakers do connect to the receiver by wires which isn’t exactly what we wanted and the details did not explain that. All in all great sound.

Now we have the real theatre quality sound. With movies before we had the volume up around 45 or so and now the highest we need to go is 15.

The front and center channels were a bit overpowering out of the box. Once I got all the settings dialed in, the system filled the space with a rich yet crisp sound that brought new life to my music. Movies also have a new depth of sound even with an older TV that does not have Dolby digital output (looking forward to a new TV in ‘24). My only complaint is that the remote feels a little cheap and does not have the ergonomic shape other Samsung products come with, but that is getting a little petty. In all, this is an amazing system for the price - very happy with my purchase.

However upon reaching the store, I was shocked to see that there was only a subwoofer and remote control available. The store manager was apologetic and made a great offer on a newer version that was available. I couldn't resist since the store was quite some drive from my home. Was extremely happy with the sound quality. Installation was a breeze as it synced with my TV on eARC. Took less than 30 minutes to align and start.

They work great together with Q Symphony. The sound quality is awesome and the Atmos sound is much better than my older Onkyo 5.1 system.
